Your lease is up in the United States or Canada, you are planning to relocate to Australia but need to find a new home first? Pack and inventory your U-Box container with the help of the International Moves team and store it at the origin or destination until you are ready to have it delivered to your home.
How Does it Work?
1. Start a Custom Quote
If you are moving to Australia from the United States or Canada, tell us where you are moving from and to using the international quote request and we will craft a custom quote for your move.
2. Pack and Secure Your U-Box Container(s)
Once you are ready to move forward, we will provide you with packing and inventory instructions for your international move to Australia. When your U-Box is properly packed and everything is secured to prevent shifting, put your own lock on the U-Box container and say “hooroo!”
3. Prepare for Australian Customs
Your move manager will walk you through the necessary documentation you will need to provide to Australian customs for clearance. We will work with our customs clearance agent in Australia to ensure all documentation is in order before your U-Box departs.
4. Your U-Box Containers Are Shipped
When you are ready to ship your U-Box container and all documentation is in place, we ship your U-Box container to Australia via ocean freight. U-Box containers will be loaded and secured in an ocean container throughout the ocean transit.
Transit time can take between eight and twelve weeks on average (please note all international transit time is estimated due to circumstances beyond our control such as port congestion or weather delays).
5. Undergo Mandatory Quarantine
Upon arrival, our customs brokers will handle the clearance on your behalf and your shipment will go through a mandatory quarantine.
6. Your Containers Are Shipped to Your Door
Once the quarantine exam is completed, TAXIBOX Australia will collect your U-Box containers from the port and deliver them straight to your door or keep them in storage for you locally until you are ready to have them dropped off!

Moving from Australia to the United States and Canada? TAXIBOX will handle your local services in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Geelong, Adelaide or Perth.
