I never opted for the SafeMove coverage when I reserved the vehicle online, only the SafeTrip. When I got to the actual pick-up locatiom they somehow put the SafeMove choice, even though they verbally mentioned "So you ordered just the $7.00 SafeTrip" and I wasn't paying attention and it they had handed me SafeMove to sign.SHARLYN W.

Adele's Storage Units was good to work with however the whole UHaul App thing was a flop.. gave us the wrong code for the vehicle. Couldn't get through to talk to anyone off hours as we had an early pickup which caused us to wait an hour while others waited on us. THERE SHOULD BE A LOCAL AFTER HOURS PHONE # TO GET A LIVE PERSON LOCAL. I had called to verify information so all went smooth.. STILL A FLOP! I reserved a truck 1.5 weeks in advance for a 24/7 truck pickup. I received a confirmation email, and a phone confirmation from a uhaul employee. The day of I am unable to pick up the truck due to an â€œin person pickupâ€ notification I was given. When I specifically stated I need one for a 24/7 pickup. I manage a moving company, our business functions off of timeliness. I would like to continue to use uhaul but if I can't guarantee that I will get a truck, even after receiving a conformation email, I will need to find a place that can provide a truck on a timely manner. If this had been the first time I would not be submitting a review, however this has happened multiple times.CHASE K.
U-Haul should do a better job of supporting their affiliates like this location. The system went down on the day I was trying to pick up my box van and the front desk staff were having trouble getting any kind of support. The U-Haul company should have weekend support staff, especially considering that the weekends are the most popular time for moving. It's not fair for the associated affiliates or customers. This location did a good job of finding an alternative to the situation, which was to complete the paperwork traditionally and then enter the information digitally later when the system was back up.Lindsay M.

State to customers the exact time frame to return items. They we not clear or professional about when to return the uhaul. I was charged for an error simply because They suggested bringing my uhaul at a later time. I am not one to miss scheduling times and it bothered me that I was lied to.Alexe O.

Not only was the truck I reserved not available at this location, and they made the reservations as if it were. The truck I got was nasty inside I had to pre clean the back with a mop it was covered with god knows what from who knows how long... I couldn't put my stuff in that without some sludge staining my new furniture.. just yuck. But on top of that no one ever mentioned that if I paid with my "pre-pay" debit card that there would be an extra $100 taken for a "deposit" on top of the deposit and fee for the rental. Even worse they hold that money for supposedly 14 days.. o wait that's business days excluding weekends and holidays of course!! I returned it before I said and used less mile than I predicted with it cleaned and all the pre required stuff I had agreed to.. gas and such and not only was I rushed into a bigger truck with a higher rate not to mention they slid in their extra insurance fee even though I declined it and provided my own insurance I got a bill that was had one price but my bank should a extra $100 was charged and no one could explain what or why. All they said was their system was acting funny and they couldn't see my account to verify that my bank has no reason to lie.. then they had some regional manager call me only to explain it was fault and I clearly knew about this unmentioned extra deposit when I made my reserve on the app. She had a completely different balance for my bill and said she where I came up with the bill I received because it didn't show in my account.. yet I had a copy in my email.. I offered to send it to her with the banking Information showing what actually was charged and she became very rude and kept change the time frame from your deposit would be returned when their truck was checked in, to 1-3 days, to 7-14:days, to 14 business days.. trying to put it on me and my bank ever which way.. after an entire day of bs phone calls.. Im still out and a bill and they could care less! I'll never use this company again and I'll be sure to tell everyone so this same injustice won't happen to them.JESSICA J.

The brakes on the truck needed serviced. Every time I stepped on the brakes they would grind and it would take a lot of force to actually brake. Definitely a scary ride.Lisa D.

the trailer had a short in on of the lights when it was wet outside. The running light fuse blew 3 times in my truck and pulled me off the road for 3 hours trying to diagnose. ll lights worked fine first 8 hours then weather turned wet and running lights stopped working. Next day it was dry out and all lights worked again. That night it was wet and fuse blew again. I tested my vehicle plugin in and no trip of the fuse so it was the trailer. I reported to the drop off uhaul location.Kevin M.

Explained several times that I wanted a one way trailer. I was told they only had one in town trailer, an 8 by 12 so I switched to a smaller one. As papers were being signed the young man said that I had to return the trailer. Could not drop in Grangevill I'd. Lot must be full. 4 hrs.of extra driving.Twice through Grangeville, you could have parked 50 trailers there. Won't use U Haul again. Bait and Switchmicheal G.

My problem is with the original scheduled pick-up location. I was supposed to pick up in Moscow, ID. They knew days in advance that a renter had not returned the 6x12 that I was scheduled to rent, but they did not call me ahead of time. They let me drive to their location and then tried to resolve it. They should have saved me the trip. As a result, this ended up costing me about 4 hours of time because of the wasted trip to Moscow and then I had to drive to Clarkston and the time spent at the Moscow location while they called everyone that had a 6x12 rented from them. They should have preemptively called me and discussed solutions over the phone in advance. I'm not happy about this at all.Joel S.

Keep regional out of picture. Regional tried to mqke me return a one way 100 miles from my destination on a one way. Had to switch to a round trip after contract was signed. Uhul does this bait and switch all the time to get the customers to move or transfer their rolling stock without having to employ drivers ofTheir own. Essentially they hire you for free and make you take all the liability and use your own gas. State depts. of Labor should looki to this scamJosef C.
The cab had obviously had not been cleaned and had food and other garbage on the floor and in the drink holders. I reported it when we picked it up with pictures. When I returned the truck and said it needed cleaned I was charged $25. I changed it to not needing cleaned with pictures so I wasn't charged for someone else's mess.Kimberly K.
We are in the midst of a global Pandemic. Dude running the place wasn't wearing a mask. I don't know if he even had one. Felt very unsafe. Also, your company lies. Your website said I could pick up the 10' truck and tow dolly in Enterprise Oregon. That is why I booked it. When I get there, no, they don't have it. I have to drive 100 miles to Clarkston. Adding 100 miles back to where I have to leave from. I wouldn't have done it had I known this in advance. But it was the only option in the time I had left. Very frustrating experience. Reserved truck for pickup in Pullman, reviewed a message the afternoon before scheduled pick up to inform us that no truck was available and we would have to drive an additional 45 minutes to pickup at an alternate location. Was expected to pay for the additional gas for the truck to get back to our original destination. We were also assured that the return location had after hours drop of. When we got there, they did not have after hours access so we had to take the truck back home and drive back the next day to return it.kathleen K.
