The first problem was that this address is not correct, so I showed up at the wrong location. It took several different attempts to find a working number as the main one listed was disconnected. Once I was able to make contact with the local manager, I was informed that NONE of the equipment to use for the move was available at this location or any others nearby. I had made the reservation weeks in advance and requested two regular hand trucks, an appliance dolly, two furniture dollies, and multiple moving blankets. Only the truck was available. U-Haul gave me zero notice that no equipment would be available. My group of lay movers had to move loads of heavy items by hand as we couldn't reschedule the move that was to commence thirty minutes after picking up the moving truck. I would not recommend this location or U-Haul in general. They did nothing to fix the problem or offer some discount.

I should not have been charged for an appliance dolly when they didn't provide one and the location told me they don't carry then there. i called and spoke with Katiffany and she told me Pelham had one and so i drove all the way up there to be met by Belle who had a terrible attitude and basically told me i was lying about someone calling to check. I ended up having to borrow one from a friend because there wasn't one in Pelham either and they wanted me to drive to the 280 store. It should have been on my truck to begin with or not let me order it!!! Poor customer service and still charged me for it!! I want it refunded because I did not get one. The location wasn't ideal for a pickup and they should have the items for what you need if they offer Uhaul items.

The inside of the truck was disgusting. My daughter and I cleaned the inside and disinfected it. It was horrible. The location was absolutely horrible - VERY RISKY! Junked all up with crap piled up everywhere.

The service was terrible. I was charged for fuel after I brought the truck back on half full where it was when I rented the truck. I was charged $46.00 and the representative said they will send me $40.00 cash. I was not pleased at all the way I was treated. Very unhappy customer!

The contract was wrong. They had me returning the truck to the same town I moved from them, then they explained it was my fault for agreeing to the contract. It's hard to see that on a phone. I asked for a one way rental.

The trailer was very dirty. I spent over 1 hour cleaning it so I could use it. The rental blanets were not very clean and the location was not open when I got there. I had to call a cell phone and wait.

A customer chooses a preferred pick up location because it's close to them and they're familiar with where it's at. For U-Haul to change the location, especially to one that's an hour away and passing 5 other U-Haul dealers is insane! U-Haul had 5 days to make sure the size truck reserved was at my preferred location but instead I was sent way out of my way using gas in my car not to mention gas in the truck. Unacceptable! Very poor customer service!

Overall experience with using U haul company was unacceptable and horrible. The pick up/ drop off was not as bad as the fact that UHaul uses it's customers to move uhaul equipment from lot to lot. Uhaul does not deliver on their promises.

I had to get key from lock box. Then walk around the building and drive the truck and transporter around to the front where I was parked. The transporter was filthy! The belts were muddy. I had to call the guy back because I didn't know how to secure the car properly.

The entire u haul process is very unfriendly to seniors. Lacking in personal touch. Seniors are internet challenge . There should a provision for it. Return process is unclear. All the pick or return places are not handicap friendly. Not a even a chair to sit down for anyone with a cane while waiting The entire corporation is handicap unfriendly and in violation of equal rights or access. I suggest something to be modified. Notice fm UHaul stated truck was available at noon next day. Spoke with franchise owner late afternoon day before. He stated truck was on the lot. I said, “Great. I will pick up at 9 am. Told movers to arrive at 9:30. At store at 9 am. No truck. It had been rented out at 5 am to someone else. Not available until almost 12:30 b/c of problems with customer check-in and billed amount. This 3+ hour delay was very costly.

Location is hard to find. Wanted to change trailer to dropping of at a different t location and the owner was not able to schedule it to that location. Person who I called at U-Haul said the closed one to me was 40 miles away and i passed several locations on my way to Drop it off that had multiple trailers like the one I had on their lots. The wait time On the phone for u-hail is absolutely terrible.

Need better customer service at the location in Calera,Al. The man was rude. Charged me twice. I was paying with a credit card but only wanted a crrta9n amount on it. He put the whole amount on it. So he had to void that out and I ended up paying cash for it. It took forever for the money to go back on the card. Then he didnt out the right amount on the receipt. He was very rude. He smelled like straight up pot. Very rude. I will never use that location. When I dropped off the uhaul in Mounds,ILL. There was a lady there that didn't know what to do. Said she would text me so I can get my deposit back. Never got a text and never heard back from her. When I called I didnt get a answer. So I still have not gotten a deposit back.

Gravel or pavement not mud. I only used the trailer one day so I should have received a discount for returning it early so another customer could rent it. I have reacted twice in the last month to deliver things to my girls in Calera. With no discount I think I'll just rent a Penske truck the next time.

Ensure the office looks open. Ensure the truck is clean in both the cabin and the storage bed area. Both were dirty. There was ash and dorito chips in the cab. I had to clean the cab because it was just filthy. I am unlikely to utilize u-haul again unless these issues can be eliminated. I've utilized u-haul in the past and this experience was less than enthusiastic. The vehicle, too, needs to be serviced. The truck shook a lot and should not shake like this. Again, I've utilized u-haul trucks in the past and none have done this.

There is nothing you could do to improve at this location! Very professional and great service! If you were to offer a free rental for a complaint, I would have to pass. When you get such a great service I believe that you should let them know. Please make sure you get a chance to let him know what a great job he is doing. I'm horrible with names but on my ticket it says sppogieb under u-haul signature. Have a great day and thanks for the chance to let you know how much great customer service means to me.

you guys should have the rental truck AT the location the customer requested.. had to drive 60 minutes out of my way to get truck at secondary location, but, the location in calera and the gentleman there made it much better. very nice and thorough, got me back on the road quickly and made up for the mishap of driving so far.. renewed my faith in uhaul again..

The lot was a sea of mud when we picked up the truck. The location was almost an hour away from where I requested the truck and the policy of not renting trailers, which is the rental I wanted, to lease, to drivers with soft top Jeeps was not explained and cost me several hundred dollars more than I would otherwise have had to spend. I will not be renting anything from U-Haul again.

Reserved truck at Pelham first. Sent crew but no truck. Was rerouted to Calera, waited 25 minutes for manager to show up. Turned truck in before 10:30 Sunday am, but was billed an extra day and truck logged in at 12:55 pm. I do not appreciate the over billing. Was also told I would get a $50 credit for no truck available. So I was billed -$172 at one location and billed again at Calera location for an extra day. Someone is mistaken or someone is taking advantage of me

The Owner said he had an severe family emergency, but instead of contacting me he took the time to change his status with Uhaul as closed. I had to go to another Uhaul dealer next door who had his personal cell number. Uhaul headquarters didn't or wouldn't help me contact the Owner. All they wanted me to go 20 miles away to get another Uhaul. I couldn't because time of the essence. Also, I WASN'T giving the '$50 guarantee' from Uhaul headquarters.

The woman didn't seem to know what she was doing. She was rude and swore a lot. She even stated that she wasn't technically at work so she didn't want to be doing it. Overall it was a bad experience.

Was unaware my uhaul location for pickup was changed until that morning when I received a text notification. I had to pickup from another city, only to get there and the location NOT be open! I waited nearly 45 mins for the rep to get there. Made phone call after phone call, transferred to “a supervisor” nearly 6 times. I was so frustrated!
