I rented a 5x9 trailer with the "EZ Loading Fold Down Ramp". When it came time use the ramp we found that folding the ramp down had a similar feel as drawing back the string on a 13th century crossbow, which was not ideal. Now even less ideal was the fact that at the slightest bump, the ramp snaps shut with the speed and ferocity of a cornered salt water crocodile. My mate was unfortunate enough to have his leg in the way when the trailer turned on us, which resulted in an absolute blood bath. The ensuing first aid session and trip to the hospital resulted in me being late for my drop off time. Once I dropped the trailer off and explained the horrors that took place, the staff member was gracious enough to not charge me a late fee. #BLESSED. On my drive home the more I thought about it, the more the whole thing did not sit well with me, and at that moment my phone chimed to advise me that U-Haul would like to hear about my experience. Considering I still had my fingers, as my friend's leg absorbed most of the primary attack, I feel that its necessary to use that gift to advise others what they should be prepared for and to ensure they have a healthy supply of compatible blood available in the event that a transfusion is required. I'm just thankful at this time that it was not one of my children in the way or they would have been cut clean in half, or best case scenario, catapulted onto my neighbours roof. So in essence, rent at your own risk.

Ron HThe 6 x 12 enclosed trailer has NO JACK . Like what trailer needs to be manhandled to get on in this day and age ? It also means you CANNOT unhook with any load in the trailer . Will not rent this trailer again .
Trevor HMake sure the equipment is in good working order. Make sure it has a full tank of gas. And make sure your debit system works. This was such a pain in the bee behind. Couldn’t pay with it couldn’t take the truck. Had to finally figure out and put it all on a credit card that I wasn’t expected to do tapping my credit card out to the max next time U-Haul get it right. Concern, customer, unhappy.

Jude YTruck use went without issues. There are fuel pumps at Cold Shot, so I thought I would be able to fuel up there when returning the truck, but they only sell diesel, so I had to leave Cold Shot, fill up elsewhere & return to drop off the truck. I wasn't the only one having to do the same, so they should make a point of telling renters that then need to fill up elsewhere before returning the truck.

James FTrailer was really dirty on the outside while the rest were clean so I’m pretty sure I got one that had just been dropped off Lightbulb died on the right side of the trailer when I was driving it, when I did a check before taking my goods to a new location Pick up wasn’t ready at 3:30 took about 45 minutes till I could hit the road cause the guy didn’t notice I gave a hour to pick up. The dolly that I rented from online they only had only 1 and was meant for the morning so I had to hustle and make sure I had it dropped off after I was done rather wait till the next day giving pressure on being back Had to help lift the trailer cause it was really heavy and they only had 1 guy working there which pissed me off.

Norris IThe trailers need to be inspected and kept up better. The trailer i rented had missing lights with bare wiring corroded and also lights that didn't work. If a customer got pulled over due to the trailer not meeting DOT standards, I'd hope U-haul would compensate the ticket. Otherwise everything was good.
