Poor communication. Picked up the U-Haul, and there was still trash all in the inside. Truck had a quarter tank of gas, and that’s what I returned it with but was charged for 4 gallons of gas. Was given a price of $200 when I booked A 15 ft U-Haul two weeks in advance. I get a call the day before that they didn’t have any 15 ft uhauls so I go with a 10 ft instead. With the plan to make multiple trips and being okay with the inconvenience of then not having what I had reserved. Then, there was no mention of an additional mileage charge from anyone, but I am charged for over 400 miles. This is all on top of the fact that when I picked the gal up, no one told me anything else was needed and just gave me the keys. Then the next day I get calls all morning from U-Haul, and the place I picked the U-Haul up from saying that there was a mistake made. Had to take time out of moving to call back and get it figured out with your team. It was an awful experience and if I had any other option I could have gone with than I would have.

Web site said they had appliance dollies, but there was not one on the truck I rented. Mobile pickup is a royal pain in the ass.

We rented a truck and tow dolly for 4 hours. We were told that if we brought it back early, it would be pro-rated, but if we brought it back late we would be charged extra, which I thought was reasonable. Then when we got charged, I was told it was 6 hour flat rate regardless of how long we had it. We had to wait for over an hour for them to fix a non-working left tail light on the tow dolly. When I finally went in and asked to just reschedule it for the next day, I was told no they were almost done…. This hour was included in the 6 hours I had to pay for, which she said she would try to get me a discount on my time for having to wait, but I haven’t heard anything back about that except she said she sent an email and talked to someone about it. While I didn’t have an issue with any specific person there, except for the incorrect information given to me when I was picking up, she was nice and the mechanics trying to fix the tail light were nice and apologetic, however due to those issues, I won’t go back to that location again.

The truck at the location even surprised me my having a dolly inside. That was a Great surprise. I didn’t need it however was Bery thankful that it was available. The truck was clean and I LOVED the sunshade in place!! I returned it just like I found it, filed, sunshade in place, locked up, and I swept the I side more than once. Lol. The rental on the app is tough for Someone that is technology challenged like myself. It was stressful having to put a code word combo on a small lock to get the key in the dark.( especially if you have vision issues). It is this way at all locations. If you love escape room challenges, ( I do) just not at 9pm when it’s dark and hard to see. I would say more lighting for safety at this location and all others w/b important. You could promote We at U-Haul care about your safety. I LOVED how Friendly the 1-800 U-Haul team is, very helpful! Very nice! I called 3x’s, each person explained how the process works. It’s expensive when your on a fixed income , HOWEVER, I could Not have done the move without the truck and am Beyond grateful for a service like this, next time I would want to get the truck during hours of operation so I could meet the people at this location in person. I will have to rent Again in a few weeks And Uhaul will be where I return again:)) Sincerely TJ, Texas
