The only thing was the recent snow event in that the unit had a bunch of snow piled on and not removed. Not a big deal but had to clean it off for fear of it coming off in chunks into oncoming traffic.Randal P.

We had a very difficult time with U-haul. U-haul made our moving process more stressful instead of being helpful. We reserved a 20' truck at the bettendorf location and then 2 days before the move we were told they didn't have a truck available at that location, but would try to get one there in time for our pick up. (in 2 days) The next day, (1day before move) we were told we had to figure out a different option because they didn't have a truck for us, the truck we had reserved had been taken and they had no more available. They told us that WE would have to drive 2 hrs to go get a truck from the "nearest location". I told them that it was ridiculous that i was going to have to drive 2hrs north (towards my moving destination) to grab a truck and drive it 2 hrs south to then turn around and drive 4 hrs north. They told me there was nothing else they could do. I told them to cancel our reservation and we would try to find someone else to help us. No one. I mean no one. Had trucks available. I tried, at least, 5 different companies. All booked. We then called U-haul back and we were going to have to settle with driving the extra 2 hrs because we had no other options. They said "Oh! We have a 26' truck in Cambridge, IL. It's been there for a few days." We told them that we would take it and we were able to finally get our hands on a truck to move. The Gentleman at Cambridge was helpful, but had no idea we were coming to get a truck. He had to call for help to figure out how to get the truck placed in our name and the process took roughly 45 mins itself. We were very stressed out with this move and honestly do not recommend U-haul to anyone trying to move.Thomas H.

I have rented from u-haul 5 or more times in the last 6 months and have been offered free storage but would prefer a frequent hauler discount. The cost for one way moves could be a little cheaper.Kurt D.

Have people at the location that is being reserved from so that customers don't have to go to other towns for a truck after waiting for hours. Have a key drop box at the location so the customers don't have to be charged extra days. When telling a customer they won't be charged for an extra day don't actually charge them anyways like what happened to me. Will not use again or recommend.Tessa F.

My reservation was for 4 o'clock on Tuesday night, I had paid $50 to get me there from my semi( I'm a contractor with atlas van lines), and your service shop was closed. I called the manager, he said they closed earlier in the day And that I could pick it up the next morning. So then I had to go 60 miles out of my way again the next morning, and once again pay $50 to get there in order to pick up my rental truck. Other than that everything was fine in the service manager was nice. When booking a U-Haul online, the service was supposed to be open until 7 PM that evening. I myself, use a lot of U-Haulâ€˜s, throughout the year. And Atlas van line uses multiple every day from all over the country, I'm not happy about having to come back the next day to pick up my U-Haul .Kevin M.

Did not get drop off location requested. When I called to ask why, I was informed that the requested location was over capacity. There was only one 10' truck there when I called. I drive past there everyday and now there is always at least four trucks there at any given time. I was lied to. I will use a different service next time.Roxanne K.
I started in Cambridge il because kewanee il would not let equipment go out of town so I was over on mileage. Kewanee would hardly ever answer there phone.Sharon S.

I have a very good experience with u haul. They met all my needs and went above and beyond to secure the right truck and equipment for our move. I highly recommend the Cambridge U haul and would not hesitate to go out of my way to use them again.Nicole R.
I reserved a 5x8 trailer on June 16 at a Rock Island, IL location. I confirmed my reservation on August 28, more than 2 months later. The uhaul personnel indicated at that time that she did not have a 5x8 trailer on her lot, and that I might need to go to another lot to pick it up. I naively presumed that meant a uhaul lot within the Quad City area, not to Cambridge, IL, 35 miles away. I had to drive 35 miles east to pick up the trailer, return 35 miles west to my home to load the trailer and then drive east again to Michigan, my destination. I was tremendously displeased and incredulous that I made a reservation over 2 months in advance and the uhaul master scheduler couldn't ensure that there was at least one 5x8 trailer in the local area?? The only accommodation I was offered was a 6x12 trailer at the same price as the 5x8, and it would be a local pick up. Seriously, if I had wanted a 6x12 trailer, that is what I would have reserved. Very disappointed with the inventory management in my area. The anchor bar on on the side of the trailer was loose so we had to do some fairly creative roping and bungy cord work in order to secure our load.Marcia T.
I didn't like going 45 minutes from my apartment to pick up a trailer; especially when there were dealers 5 minutes away. When I questioned the dispatcher she said none of the Davenport dealers had long haul one way trailers available; I went to the Davenport dealer and there were plenty of trailers on station but none were long haul all were for local haul. Can some explain the difference between a local trailer and a long haul trailer?????Carl E.

When returning, the person at this location said "just park it there" and he walked away. I don't think he looked at it or inspected it for a few more days; we thought he would do it when it was returned.Kenneth B.
I was very pleased with this location. The personnel were very helpful and gave me great advise. He looked over my hitch and ensured I was good to go and gave me some great advise on how to drive with the trailer. Really made me feel more comfortable towing the trailer all the way to Florida.JAMES W.
Great customer service. I called a couple of days ahead and the day I needed a trailer they were closed . Dave went above and beyond to accommodate me and had no problem meeting me at the store on Sun so I could pick up a trailer to finish up my move. Thanks again U-HAUL.
