The trailer was frozen into the ground. No one at the office helped - just a note "Be back soon." The trailer was missing wiring and safety rubber stoppers! Again, no help from the office. Not to mention the fact that U-Haul should have its equipment regularly maintained and checked. The trucks wheel alignment was completely off. We had to hold the steering wheel at 11 o'clock all of the 3300 km from Barrie to Calgary. The wipers were useless, we had to buy new ones ourselves at the first gas station. The passenger make-up mirror was broken.
Yuri KI had to come here because the u haul in wasaga beach screwed me over they were not open and they didn't have the 26 footer I ordered from them 2 weeks prior so had to drive anextra hr each way pay tge gas and the kmsthat were extra really not happy with uhaul as a company for not doing what was promised but it is what it is this location was much better though
Chris AI don't understand the fuel situation, getting the truck at 1/4 tank makes absolutely no sense, i had to go put a little fuel in before anything happened instead of going only once at the end of the day i had to go twice and out of my way to fill, If the truck was just full of fuel when I picked it up, I could go do what I needed to do and go to station to fill up when I was done. thus I had to drive more KM's that I was charged for just to put a little fuel in twice

Gerald GReservations kept sending me to 10 Anne street, when that was only a parking lot. Office was actually on 303 Dunlop. When I called to ask why a random person was texting me to go to dunlop, I was told no, it's at 10 Anne street. Totally wrong. Truck barely started and we got lost finding the return location and were charged one whole dollar for the overage. That's ridiculous. Looks bad on the company

When I was bringing the truck back I stopped to put gas in and could not get the gas tank open. I only drove 18 miles on the truck so I figure 25 bucks would put the gas back to where it was but couldn’t get it done. I tried to call the store this morning and nobody has returned my call yet

James WI repeatedly asked for an appliance dolly and was assured that there was on there but when I got to the location to pickup the truck there were 2 utility dolly’s in the truck and the location was closed. We had to load 16 washing machines and 8 double stack dryers with utility dollys it was terrible.

LARRY EIn terms of this particular location, there were a number of issues. Signing up with the app was mostly simple but the added question of adding two additional contacts was confusing and when I accidently clicked the back button it erased all the info I had originally put it and had to redo the online registration a few times. The plaza holds vehicles on both sides of the lot. My particular vehicle was on the far right side of the lot, and I had parked at the far left. This meant having to walk about 5 minutes across to find my vehicle. The lockbox to obtain the key was confusing. The picture that described where the key was located only showed the orange drop off box which would make one believe that their key was located in that. After trying the combination numerous times, I gave up thinking maybe the lock box was located on my truck. I am now aware that there is a grey lockbox on the opposite side of the door, however the bright orange box stands out and it is very easy to not notice the drab gray one. After I located the truck, I immediately noticed there was a cracked drivers side mirror. This was alarming since obviously this would make it difficult, not to mention illegal, to drive and secondly, I did not want to be held liable for damage to something that existed prior to me arriving to pick up the vehicle. After calling customer service, the woman asked me if I would still be willing to rent that particular truck. This seemed like a very odd question to ask. Imagine a rental company asking if you will illegally drive a car with a cracked/damaged mirror. Would U-Haul be willing to accept responsibility for the ticket? No? Then why should I? They made me wait for the cash express to open in order to transfer the rental. The gentleman at the counter was polite and the process there was simple enough, however my new rental was located at a different location around the corner, so I did have to drive over to it. I also wasn't too pleased at the inconvenience of having to pick up a truck with only a 1/4 of gas in the tank. The Anne St location was easier to get in and out of and had more space which did make it better to get in and out of compared to the Dunlop location, although the new vehicle I rented still had some garbage left from the previous renters, such as an invoice paper as well as a box of Kleenex still inside the truck. The reason why I can't recommend this to someone else is that my experience involved many hurdles. I was able to get through it as I was resilient enough to advocate for myself, but I doubt that many others would have been able to juggle some of these issues, and I wouldn't recommend someone driving a truck with a cracked mirror or damage to it. That should have been repaired prior to being picked up.
Joe RThe keys for the vehicle at my initial location in Orillia were missing. Had to relocate after jumping from one rep to another. Took 50mins to finally get a vehicle after driving to Barrie. Not a good experience.

Harry KProvide the correct information about location, key chain info and plate was different. Check the cargo area for cleaning , I understand the dust but the sticky floor and smell from other loads is not right. Check fluids levels at least washer fluid was empty

When I phoned to tell them I had questions about receipt, they didn’t answer phone so I left a message. I still have no received a call back and that was yesterday that I rented it.

NICOLE CI have rented the cargo van for a move to London. The van was clean. Very easy and comfortable to drive for such a long distance. It was very efficient on gas too. I will rent from there again and recommend to anyone. The gentelmen I dealt with were super nice and helpful.

Owen MCab of truck wasn’t swept out, but otherwise in good condition. Box of truck had grass clippings on the floor and plastic garbage left behind, requiring us to clean it before beginning to load.
Marc CUpon pickup there was glass in the truck which I had to sweep out. I had also requested a furniture dolly and was told there’d be one but in pickup day was notified that that location hadn’t had one in a month. I had to go across town (after several phone calls with U-Haul support) to pick up a dolly from a different location- this killed over an hour of my time with the truck. It wasn’t the smooth experience I was hoping for. I will say though that the U-Haul location on bayfield in Barrie was great. The man was so helpful and apologetic of the experience I had. He got my my dolly so I could get to work moving.
Gabriella EI received a call day before my drop off saying my location drop off had been changed. Because someone had reserved it etc. I thought ok not a problem it was only a few minutes away from where I was suppose to drop it off. Went to that location no one was there. Was trying to return the trailer via the app and it still had the original address for drop off. Called U-Haul they had no record of it changing so we hooked the trailer back up and brought it too the original address. Tried calling U-Haul again to make a complaint. I felt very uneasy with having received a phone call stating the location had been changed but yet there was. I thing in the system. Spoke with a manger gave her the number that called and informed her what had happened then the call dropped. She never called me back even though I gave her my number etc

Grant KFirstly the pick up truck I needed was not returned for my initial rental so Cylvia and the team at the first location 484 Essa road helped me out. Then I was sent to 303 Dunlop where the customer service was good but the truck reeked of body odour and still had garbage in the back. I took the truck out and used it, brought it back nicer and cleaner than when I found it but overall was less than impressed with my experience with the vehicle. Customer service was helpful, truck disgusting.
