The worst experience I’ve EVER had!! I dropped the truck off. The lady wanted to charge me $30 for fuel I had already put fuel in the truck. So I went to a nearby gas station put $3.92 in the tank to make it slightly above the 1/4 tank I had when picking up the truck. Returned the truck and the lady was rude because I ask for a receipt! We ask her to use the trash can to put 2 bottles of water and a cup in because we cleaned the truck before returning it. She said go outside and use the dumpster. Then when I told her she was being rude SHE started demanding we leave. I said no problem give me my receipt first please. She called the police. I waited in my daughter’s car until they arrived . Got my receipt and her name which she refused to give me until the police ask her for it. Trust me I’ll NEVER do business with this company again!

The first time I used this company everything went smoothly so I used this same company again thinking everything would be ok but the cashier had a very bad attitude while I was paying for the u-haul my card was declined and all I said was i wander why because I knew I had enough on my card then she got an attitude and said I don't know why call your bank then I asked my husband to get a receipt because he had to pay for it and she said why because your card was declined in a real nasty way witch made me feel more depressed than I already was because I'm moving to a new location after being in the same house for 22yrs. So I probably will not go back there at that location again because of that. No one should be treated the way I was treated today. Maybe if they got new employees who respected their customers then maybe I would go back

BRIAN OThe windshield was cracked and the gas gauge was sticking and I ended up putting a 1/2 a tank of gas more than when I picked up the truck so I lost out of an extra $40 with no refund or discount on the 20 miles I went over. Probably won’t use again after this experience.

The clerk I worked with was exceptional—calm, professional, and solutions-oriented in the middle of a frustrating situation. She not only walked me through the process, but also called corporate on my behalf and handled the entire issue with grace and competence. When corporate tried to shift blame onto both of us for what was clearly a system issue, she remained composed and advocated for the right resolution. I have a background as a Federal Government account manager and IT program specialist, and I’ve been in plenty of similar conversations—what stood out was how much this clerk operated with the poise and skill of someone who easily belongs in a high-level, six-figure role. Whatever her pay grade is, it doesn’t reflect the value she brings. She even advised me on which truck size to rent—recommending a 15ft over the 10ft I had booked—and she was absolutely right. That level of care and foresight turned a stressful situation into a smooth and ultimately positive experience. Corporate life may no longer be for me, but if I were still hiring, I’d want her on my team. U-Haul, if you’re reading this: give this woman more opportunities. She has the talent, professionalism, and customer sense that your brand should be built on.

SHAWN BI didn't get the truck I asked for. I had to drive out further to get a larger van and was told that I would receive extra mileage due to that. I was given 65 miles. Where is the extra? When I picked up the van, I was told, "Return this at about half a tank". I returned it at exactly half a tank. They put in 2 gallons of gas at $4.46 a gallon for unleaded! Show me any place in Cleveland that is charging that per gallon.

MICHAEL ZI delivered my truck at 9:30 at night and was immediately approached by a shady individual hassling me for cash. It is a dimly lit dirt parking lot in a terrible neighborhood. I would recommend to every person whose personal safety I value to avoid this location like the plague.

DOUGLAS LI had this truck for about an hour. Only used to move a sofa. When I got the truck it was dirty. Had cigarette butts all throughout the front of the truck, trash left from prior user. I returned the truck in same condition I got it, put gas in the tank and returned the truck. Not long after returning it I received a receipt from uhaul saying they’re charging me 25 for a cleaning fee. This is ridiculous. It’s very obvious that this place doesn’t check the trucks once they’re returned all the time. Or before they rent them out. If they did then they’d have seen the truck was already dirty before I got it. I don’t even smoke cigarettes! I’ll never use uhaul ever again after this. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy. I’m very disappointed that I chose this route thinking I would be saving money and it ultimately ended up costing me way more than the company who was initially charging more money from the start. I’ll never use them again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. It’s a scam
CHERELL MTruck battery was dead, they didn’t know how to jump it and they had to use my husband’s jumper cables. Truck had to be jumped every single time we turned it off. Worst moving experience we’ve ever had.

Harsha HIn the hood not safe feeling, the clerk was great the store closed early sat outside for over an hr. to return the truck. the line was busy finally got someone and said put the keys in the drop box. clerk had to leave. Like really ruined my whole evening. I had to pay mover extra because they was waiting over a hour for me to return.

NOAH ADid not deliver on price, cleanliness and actual vehicle promised. The owner pointed out the truck we would get and said the price for the 20ft would be the same as for the 15ft. We ended up with a different truck that was not prepped and likely has a hole in the exhaust it was so noisy, and the price was significantly higher. Not good for a UHaul to do this to a repeat customer.

TODD MMy U-Haul was on E they said it wasn’t as well as I was OVER CHARGED almost 200$ for no reason when I went into store they weee having issues fixing it because it was a promissory note return and so I had to wait for a gm who (never picked up ) I ended up leaving due to my newborn needing to be fed and changed hopefully today they have it all figured out

SHAWN GBrake reservoir was missing the cap and packed with electrical tape. Pickup/hookup was very difficult because the trailer was parked on a downgrade and in gravel, and there is no tongue jack to set the height. No help was offered, I was just told to stop by the office on my way out so he could take pics. When I pointed out the reservoir problem he said it's just a backup so not a big deal. There were no other 6x12's available, and I was out of time, so I took it anyway. He also never checked the lights. Location is sketchy as can be. The bulletproof glass supports this. They're cooking chicken in the same room that you check in for the rental.
