The strap for ratcheting down the tire was frayed and snapped. I took before pictures before I drove it off the lot. When I returned the trailer it was agreed that it wasn't my fault that it snapped on me and that I would not be charged for any damage. I have before and after pictures for reference if needed. Luckily I had extra ratcheting tie downs with me and was able to use it still. Like any safety strap,a visual inspection should be done prior to use. It seems that uhaul needs to replace these on a regular basis due to safety issues.Eric H.

pick up location was excellent to deal with, but the UHaul website and online booking process was very poor. A trailer was booked online over a week before the move. A few days before the move, we could not log in on the website to review details; reset password capability was also not working. So, we called in. After adjusting another reservation, we asked them to make sure they diid NOT change our other reservation. That was when we learned a trailer was not available. The email confirmation had nothing about this possibility and it really but us in a bind. While we were eventually given a credit for not meeting a guarantee, we found the overall process poor. The unit is very well used and the door was very sticky, but the location was good about lubing it.WILLIAM E.

We started by renting a unit online at our local Uhaul in Cobble Hill BC. I was contacted Within an hour by phone and told the trailer size was not available in the location We selected and would have to go to The Duncan BC location 15km away , but not at 9am like requested, 10am as the Trailer had to be inspected after return by the last renter. We arrived at 10 am at the Duncan location at 10 am but no trailer. After an hour we were told a 6x12 trailer was available in Chemainus, another 15 km from Duncan. We retrieved the trailer From the Chemainus location and headed back to Cobble hill to the lumber supply store. Prior to leaving the parking lot we're approached by A commercial vehicle safety constable (CVSC) who told us the right side of our trailer's lights were not working and if we're considered transporting a load in that condition there'd be a fine. So he agreed to let us return the trailer to the Chemainus location. After arriving there the agent came out, inspected the trailer try to repair the lights so we could be on our way, but by then it was getting close 3:30 and the day was done. This was a total waste of time, gas, and Future additional rental expense. I hope we get our money back and some form of compensation. Not impressed. Peter DornPeter D.

Truck was a bit dusty but otherwise clean. There's a wiring harness at the back of the van on the driver's side that could be tucked away, but the back was clean and more than enough space to move a queen mattress, box spring, and bed frame. I'll definitely be using these guys again next time, very friendly staff, easy process, and a solid clean vehicle that's well maintained. Good rates, too.REID J.

As with getting into any unfamiliar vehicle, knowing where to turn on the vehicles windshield wipers & headlights, are often needed while in transit. So to suggest a customer, look over the vehicle manual, when they get in the vehicle, for such things might work or perhaps a quick 'cheat sheet, of little basics, might be easy to refer to.moe V.

The gas tank registered half full which made it impossible to judge how much gas to add at the end of my use. Make sure that the gas tank is Full and fill up again after you have driven the truck - regardless of how short the distance.Lynn J.
Tell client that they must use an app on a smart phone to do self drop off. Had already parked the vehicle and returned the key before I knew you were supposed to take a photo of the dash. The truck was locked, so the app was useless. Very frustrating.Kurt K.
