I arrived, Wrong truck, had to take a smaller one, we had to do two loads, what choice did I have. We also ordered blankets, dollie, and a hand truck... not there, either. So we had to do two loads because of wrong sized truck, and no equipment to help us. We are all injured now, literally due to you guys not supplying what we ordered. We trusted you. Also, one of the folks that helped us move said you get 50 dollars if they don't have what you requested on the day you pick up. Do I ask for this or is it supposed to be offered? Definitely everyone that helped with this move think differently about Uhaul, now! Don't trust or depend on Uhaul because if you do, it will completely screw your move up. Not cool. You have no idea the pain you caused us. I wouldn't care if it was just me, but you hurt some good people that came out to help me. That is what has made me so angry. This literally is a safety issue. False advertising to boot. Not cool.DAVID S.

The alignment of the stearing is not correct and also breaks were not good...in the snow several times we find it difficult to control the truck....I mentioned this to the person who took my return...but hope he doesnt care about...please do take this seriously we are renting the truck from you in hope of trusting our lives behind the wheel.....JEFFREY V.

We're told we could pick up after hours per someone at the location I spoke to on the phone. Wasn't set up for after-hours pick up. Wait time we're 50-65 minutes to speak to a rep to fix the rental. After an hour in a dark cold lot we finally got our keys and none of the pads we rented were in the vehicle. Which I confirmed with the location earlier in the day. The vehicle was old. Engine light was on and windshield was cracked right in the driver's view.Taylor L.

This location has homeless people living behind the trucks. There is broken glass and metal pieces in the parking lot and the blankets which I paid to rent were stored outside so i did not end up getting any as they were wet. The guy who ran the location was nice but everything else was abysmal. I will not return to this location.Emily M.

Van ran well. Manager was nice, helpful and courteous. Vehicle could use a wash and the lot could use some gravel in the puddles, when time and business allows. This location was recommended and we agrees. Will use their service again and recommend others do as well.RALPH J.
Truck box had a puddle in it and it was obvious it came from top front corner and down the wall. I only used truck for a short trip but this would be a problem on a long haul as it wouldn't be noticed until unloading. Otherwise, a good experience overall.WESTLEY W.

We did a drop off at this location on a Sunday. There were no personnel around. We had a hard time locating the exact drop off area. There is a small lot with several UHauls parked but it was not a secure area. Was very leery about dropping it off there. The signage identifying the property was poor.Wayne S.

The manager was very professional and accommodating. He was very helpful in showing me how the trailer setup worked and was pleasant to deal with. The only drawback was the trailer itself as it was the larger trailer and very heavy to put onto the hitch and take off the hitch especially when loaded. I had to use a car jack to accomplish that. The trailer should have a folding arm jack such as boat trailers do to make it possible to put it on and take it off the hitch.DONALD S.

Everything was fine until I got the receipt and realized that after putting $30 worth of fuel (the fuel gauge indicated the same level as when we left the lot) in the vehicle only a few blocks from the lot I then get a fuel charge in the order of 6 liters. That would mean the vehicle used 30 liters of fuel in 84 kilometers. Highly doubtful. Disappointed with the upcharge. My advice would be to send the vehicles out with a full tank and avoid customers playing the fuel level guessing game.TIMOTHY B.

Make sure customer gets a truck when reserved ahead of time. Never informed truck wasn't available for August 31st. I had to phone U-Haul on the 31st for location of truck and I was advised the truck was not returned. Luckily another truck was available?? I was never sent an e-mail, poor service. There was no employee on site which there was supposed to be. The equipment ordered with the truck was not included. It took 2.5 hours to get through to uhaul customer service to change the order to truck share to pick up the truck.Regan M.

The attendant was not there for the appointment time (one hour late!); there were errors in the contract (name, truck id #, etc.); and the truck engine ran rough and hasn't been cleaned in sometime.DAVID A.
I want start by saying that Dave the gentleman that helped me was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. But this guy is working out of a garden shed in the worst area of town. He has no laptop or computer, he has to do everything from his own personal cell phone, this is ridiculous and super unprofessional. He is entering all my information into his own phone and even has to take pictures of my credit card with his personal phone. This did not make me feel comfortable or secure and again this is all happening in a plywood garden shed. My reservation was for 11am, Dave tried and tried to complete the pickup information and confirm all he needed to several times with his cell phone but it was unsuccessful. So I ended up having to cancel that reservation and start over with a new one. By this time it is 11:45 and now we are starting all over again from scratch. So we changed the pickup to 12 noon. We started the process all over again about finally at 12:26 I was pulling out of the yard. What a completely crazy way to run a business. This poor guy needs a secure building that has a laptop or computer that has seating for customers and a locking door for security in that neighborhood. As far as the rental goes, the truck ran great ðŸ‘ it was clean. Due to wildfires, mudslides and highway closures I was rerouted three hours out of my way so my return 12 hour journey turned into 15 hours of travel time for my 24 hour truck rental. I called the 1-800-go uhaul several times to try and let them know I would not have the truck back in time but wait times on hold were 22 minutes, 18 minutes, 14 minutes and because I was driving in limited cell service areas my calls were all dropped. Ended up calling the number listed for the location on Railway in Chilliwack but it turned out to be a dispatch yard for a towing company in a different community and that lady was very nice and helpful but unable to assist me with the rental at all. Then I tried a number I found online 1-800-663-0800. And the lady I spoke with there was great. She told me as long as I had the truck back at the pickup location by 5pm I would not be charged an additional day due to the circumstances with the wildfires. So I arrived at the drop off location at 4:35pm and there again was Dave in his garden shed. Please get this guy into a proper office, he deserves it. So that, in a nut shell is my uhaul experience.Shannon S.

My original plan was to drop the trailer off in Kelowna but I received $120 discount to bring it to this location. Since I had to drive to Vancouver I thought I would take the savings but if I would've known the hassle I would face I would've paid more to avoid this nightmare. Google maps took me and 2 other customers to the overflow with no one around. After standing around for several minutes we figured out it was the overflow location. We finally found the main location and the person working there told me to back up the large trailer 50 feet down a ridiculously narrow and difficult spot about with about a foot of clearance on each side. Luckily there was another customer there who had a lot of experience driving trailers and was able to guide me. Then the trailer wouldn't come off my hitch and again the customer came to my aid and helped me get it off with his jack. Meanwhile the guy working there did nothing. The whole process took about 1 hour. I would definitely not reccomend this location and would rate it a zero if I could.John B.
The guy that was part-time or just filling in he was amazing he was awesome he made the experience a lot better he was very kind and very patient and his customer service was excellent however when we did show up the person that was filling in he had no keys we waited for a lot of hours and I knew it wasn't his fault however I found this location very dysfunctional hopefully you guys can improve it yeah poor guy I felt really bad for him because yeah there was no computer there's no keys got to do everything on my phone but he did excellent job I'm so happy that he took it all in stride and even though we were unable to get the truck at the time that we scheduled it was okay yeah I don't know what happened at that location but hopefully gets resolvedKENNETH T.
For whatever reason, it took over an hour to pick up the U-haul. I felt bad for the customer in front of us who was told someone would be there to attach the trailer to her hitch but no one was there to help her and she was essentially told it was her problem despite being sent to that location because there would be someone to help out. The "office" was a shed with no a/c and i had to stand in the blistering sun and after finally getting our keys, we were sent on a wild goose chance in the other parking lot. I tried every door there was and the key didn't open any of them. It turned out it was the Uhaul parked in front of the office. Not only that, it was blocked by another Uhaul and the person working there had a difficult time understanding that I couldn't get out of the parking lot with the Uhaul I rented because another one was blocking it. So this whole ordeal took an hour to deal with when it should have been a simple pick up but turned into a hot mess.Andrzej S.
I'm unimpressed with the drop off. I dropped the truck off was told all was good and to have a good day. The truck was supposed to be back at 4:30 PM I arrived at 4:36 PM and got charged for another day.. over 6 minutes ? Not to mention I got quoted and told around $150 when I did the contactless pick up and then was charged $203.. I am not impressed with the lack of communication and am completed appalled that you guys would charge someone for an entire day for being 6 minutes past the drop off time. I am not impressed & would appreciate being contacted to further discuss. Seems like Uhaul is just taking advantage of any bit of extra money they can get.Chelsea C.

The truck that was rented to us was crap. My daughter is a truck driver and she stated how bad it was to drive. While she was driving the truck down the freeway the window on the passenger side imploded hitting her with glass. It took over 5 hours for your roadside service to rescue her she couldn't drive the truck because glass was flying everywhere. Now today I get a bill for $500 because the window imploded. We did not damage the truck the window was faulty. She was on the freeway when it happened in the vehicle by herself and no one around. She could have had an accident because the explosion of the window could have caused her to react poorly. Luckily this didn't happen but she was hit with glass. I am so angry about receiving this bill I will be posting on the internet what a terrible company you are. I am considering speaking to a lawyer about this problem. We have pictures of this and we will be posting them also. When eee called for assistance from roadside assistance they even said it wasn't our fault.Linda G.

Absolute clusterfuck picking up the van and also dropping it off. Instructions were not clear and when we went to pick up nobody was there at 4:30 when I was told someone would be there unto 5pm. The keys were dropped in the lock box and I wasn't told how to retrieve them, a code or who to call. We wasted 45 minutes trying to figure this out. Was hung up on by a u-haul agent when I called to get help. Was charged for moving pads that were not in the van. The fuel was left on nearly empty. Never again will we rent from U-Haul. Couldn't get your website to recognize my location when attempting to drop off so wasted another 45 minutes fucking around with the site (following YOUR instructions). Ridiculous. I would like my refund for the moving pads!!!!!!Andrea R.
Absolutely terrible place. The lady there couldn't figure out how to run the system. When I returned the uhaul they tried to say I didn't put the correct amount of fuel back in either when I did. I went back for my refund 3 different times and the lady working there couldn't figure out how to give me my money back. I spent my refund on gas driving back and forth to try and get my money back haha Upon talking to the regional manager he went there and dealt with the problem. I made a reservation 1.5 weeks before before I needed the truck online. I chose a location with the 24/7 truck share which requires no other person for pick up and drop off, just your cellphone. I received at least 6 confirmation emails for my pick up date for 8am, but the morning of pick up when I went to get it at that time and tried to do the online pick up I got a message showing up saying I had to wait for the location to be open at 9am. I then tried to call uhaul and was put on hold and hung up on 3 times over that hour wait. When I returned at 9am to try the online pick up again only to have a message saying that a piece of equipment was unavailable and to go inside for assistance, there was no one at the location. I then called the number on the fence at the location where I talked to a woman who put me on hold so long it went to voice mail, when I hung up and called back. I then talked to another woman who also put me on hold three times only to be told that someone MIGHT be there AROUND 9:30ish and that there was NOTHING that she could do. While I was on hold with that person for the third time a man showed up in a uhaul pick up truck who asked if I was there for a truck, which I replied yes to, and he said he could help. He however didn't have keys for the locations "office" where all the keys for the trucks were and so then had to cut a key for my rental right there. (He was very helpful) When I returned the truck to that same location when I tried to do it online it told me to hit the return truck option of which there was none. And there was no on at the location either as it was already closed when the truck was returned. I have now received an email saying that I owe an additional $28 something for what I have no idea as it does not say and don't understand as I also left it with double the amount of gas in it than what was there when I picked it up! The truck was useful the experience was a nightmare and I am not happy with it in the slightest.GAIL C.

Be explicit that the rentals are not guaranteed! No where on my order confirmation does it say this and I was under the impression I had a confirmed reservation 3 months in advance only to be called by uhaul with 24 hours notice to advise me they couldn't fulfill my reservation. I have used uhaul for 15 years and never had such a horrible customer service/customer experience. I can confidently say that I will never use uhaul again, I won't recommend it to my friends or my worst enemy and I am filing a formal complaint. This specific uhaul location was very sketchy in an alley lot with someone living in a camper with garbage everywhere. But the main issue was I did not receive the truck I reserved a 26 foot truck but instead a much shorter 20 foot truck after being told I didn't even have a truck after I had reserved 6 weeks ahead of time. Come out to help the customer with parking, I had to back off the street directly into a very small lot by myself. Then unhook and move the trailer on the uneven ground in the parking lot with the help of my 8 year old. No one came to inspect the equipment after drop off. I was given no paperwork. Frankly I was wondering if I was really in the right spot and whether Uhaul corporate would believe me that I had dropped off the equipment. After dropping off the trailer I went back to the office.
