If I could give this zero stars I would! Inside of the cab was covered in mud. Truck barely ran - had a service engine light on the whole time. It was supposed to be an in-person pickup, but we got there and the place was locked up (including the gates being chained shut). Took me more than an hour and two calls to customer service to retrieve my truck. Self pickup process was tedious, missing critical information (like what to do with the lock on the back of the truck), wouldn't let me choose a drop off location closes to my home and required you to type in the same information multiple times and re-input lots of personal information, DL, etc. that was already submitted with the original authorization request.

No one showed up till 10.40 then had me relaying messages from sell person to another client, which got upset and left. Had no one to show us how to get it hooked up right, took us 1 hour. We figure it out on our on. Disappointed with u haul and place we pick up.

Waited over an hour for someone to show up to give me my truck. Showtime was 10:00 am and the Uhaul affiliate did not show up until 10:53. She related Uhaul never notified her of the change. My move was delayed considerably.

Truck was under powered very bad mileage 4.8 ? Super shitty especially when they said 12 miles per gallon I spent $242 in gas to drive 803 miles . Trailer light were non working , 2 hour wait time for repair tech 2.5 hours to fix put me very behind With leaving time

Stress I didn't ask for ,Iorder truck to move 3-4 bedroom home 24 ft ,What I recived was a 17 ft at different site that didn't have the extra things I asked for with orginal order ended up having to reserve another truck only 14ft availible needed only extra 3ft that I had orginaly asked for .So I had to pay for 2 trucks ,gas to trucks ,pay for insurance and millege on 2 trucks just because the original order was not availible like the computer site said it was. So ontop of losing wife to illness ,moving out of Modesto area home I had to deal with U-HAUL bad experience.

Drop off location was a Ford dealership. No U-Haul signage. I passed it up and had to telephone for exact location. Had to telephone again once I got their to find out where the contact person was.

We were given wrong information from the agent (Abby) that issued the truck contract for us. Misrepresented a refund on the extra day and the unused mileage which cost us $52.00 over with no refund as stated.

The actual UHaul website/server was down and so it actually took awhile for the pickup location to assign me a UHaul and deal with all the billing. They actually sent me to another pickup location that could set things up manually, but finally the website was working again so I went back. Perhaps all locations should be trained to manually assign UHauls.

There was some initial confusion at pick up time due to different info from telephone reservation. New employee, new computer software, previous user did not return truck we reserved . . . the process took an hour but eventually come out alright. The dash gauge for fuel economy evidently was broken -- never moved all day. Everything else seemed in good order.

It's very difficult to figure out where to drive into Heritage Ford, then park and find the U-Haul desk. There should be parking for the customers that's easy to find, etc., and then they should try to make it easier, and closer, to walk to the desk.

Windows on the Truck where very Dirty. I had to clean them up before driving on the trip. Plus the Female that waited on me was not dressed professionally for work in a public place. She was dressed more like a person at a Strip club.

This location was excellent. Unfortunatly when I had to drop off the u-haul in san jose i had to go to 3 different uhauls locations until they could receive my truck. The first place on blossom hill said they couldnt receive my truck because they didnt know how to use the computer system and fill out the paperwork! I called the modesto location and she took care of it and gave me a new location. I went there and they were to full so they sent me to another location! I finally left the truck there but not by already wasting 15 miles getting there!!!!

I ordered a truck on-line and expected to pick it up at 7AM at the primary u-haul location in Modesto. I was told to expect a phone call to confirm pickup time and location. I never received a phone call. I called u-haul and was told to pick up the truck at noon at Heritage Ford. I had movers coming to help me at 8AM. Noon did not work. I was able to contact u-haul and told I could pick up the truck at 8AM. I was at Heritage Ford at 8AM. Unfortunately, they did not open until 9AM. My moving day was made very difficult because of the awful communication of u-haul. I was not impressed.
