We were provided with an unsafe uhaul whose breaks and steering wheel went out on the highway in rural Kentucky. The breaks stopped working while driving on the highway, and the steering wheel locked up. After messaging with uhaul about 2 gay men feeling uncomfortable about safety, as we were broken down in a gas station with swastika's carved into the walls, no action was taken and we had to work with local law enforcement to ensure our safety. I've requested a full refund for uhaul nearly killing us with providing us with an unsafe vehicle without a proper functioning power steering pump that would have been avoided if there was a proper inspection, and then uhaul leaving us stranded for hours without resolution.
