I did not have an issue with the person behind the counter, however having my rental moved to the other side of Edmonton and then having to wait two hours because your system was down is unacceptable. When moving time is important and today’s experience was far below expectations.

There was nobody on site when I dropped off the rental so I cannot provide appropriate feedback on this location. I left the key in the box as nobody was there. The next day I received a bill from U-Haul charging me $120 for 3 days extra on the rental, despite me being quoted for 2 extra days and already paying for these extra days when I picked up the rental at the other location. I had to call U-Haul to advise them that they double charged me, plus charged me for the wrong number of days, and I am now waiting 3-5 business days to get my refund. I can't speak to this process yet as I have not received my refund at the time of writing my feedback.

Truck was pretty dusty and dirty, could have been cleaner. I rented a truck a year ago out in BC; and it was much cleaner that the one I just had.

Disappointing administrative performance- two days before pickup they switched me to a different outlet 30 km away. Then, when I returned the trailer, they stated that location was no longer used for U-Haul and wanted it left 200 km away. With the high price of gas an extra 500 km and time involved makes the service virtually useless.

Have the equipment at the location it was booked for pick up. I was sent to 3 different locations before I picked up the unit I booked. Not to mention it was the next day…. All this driving, wasted time on the phone and my schedule set back. This was the worst service I have ever paid for. The one positive was the fellow who helped me drop the unit off he was very helpful and nice.

Pick us was easy at counter as my driver had rented before so in system. We were unable to do the drop-off on-line - screen came up as Error. No Wi-fi near west end where trucks stored, good near office but still error reading. Had to wait until receipt next morning for confirmation. All was good at that point but frustrating at the time.

Have the gas tank filled. Clean at least the windows. If you are parking longer than a day get a ride there, or your vehicle will be towed.

I had an appointment to pick up my U-Haul at 8:30 am. When I arrived, the storefront was closed and there was no employee present. I called the phone number on the sign that said to call if you need “immediate assistance.” I called the number 9 times with no response. I then had to call the customer support number for U-Haul and explain my situation. They were able to reach the area manager but by that time, the employee had arrived—15 minutes late. I went out to my U-Haul and found that the vehicle would not start. I went back in and thankfully got a new truck quickly. This one l, however, was missing a much needed ice scraper and had low tire pressure. I’ve typically had good experience renting a U-Haul but am considering alternatives for next time I move.

The individual working at the cold shot location in Sherwood park, is a complete knob. I don't have a credit card, so I paid the $150 deposit on my debt card. Once I returned the truck, I tried using the self return online site, which didn't work properly. Ended up calling in to return it. For some reason it closes at 230pm. I returned the next day to get my deposit back and the guy couldn't figure out how to do it. He then continued to tell me to use a credit card, again, I don't have one. After 45 min of waiting he finally got the refund done the proceeded to slam the receipt on the counter top. Garbage service.

The attendant was very friendly and helpful. I had not used this location previously so I was a bit confused and surprised that the location doesn't have an office and the attendant was working from a company vehicle. It's fine, just odd.

Tire was flat on trailer. Tie down chain is broken off frame and missing hook. I should have looked the trailer rover closer before leaving u-haul. Booking, pick up and self drop off was easy.

The gentleman behind the counter after I picked up the truck the next day phoned me and was very assertive on the phone. Asked me why I never called to cancel my pick up. I told him I picked it up last night. He said no you couldn’t have I said yes, I did which I did. I was also very upset that they didn’t have my truck at the 51 Avenue location for that day as I have booked it two weeks prior but the gentleman that I booked in with put the time for 11:45 PM instead of a.m. then I have to go to Sherwood Park. It took me three extra hours to do all of this when I had four people waiting for me paying $30 an hour each I sent an email about this the day it happened and I’ve had no reply

Reserved vehicle at location, asked if i could drop off vehicle at a different location, and confirmed with worker that that was okay. did not get email confirmation from uhaul. Got charged more than what was intended because worker did not do his job correctly and i had to pay more than what was required because of the workers mistakes. “Mistakes being that the worked did not put in the contract that vehicle was getting dropped off at a different location”. Got a hostile phone call the next day from the workers at the pick up location. Truck had less fuel in it than what was stated.

Gentlemen running had very limited English so was hard to understand what was going on as he seemed lost. Was apariently unable to give me a copy of the contract, tried to ask questions about key return and was just told its good and then was brushed off. Not professional and not informative.

The cashier was awesome. Knew his stuff. He was extremely knowledgeable about the unit. He spoke Fluent English, he had the answers to the questions a person was going to ask before asked.. The whole Process was quick, efficient. I was in and out with truck in 6 min . Thank u

I was charged more then rental and uhaul arranged different location because their truck was broken I paid for rental for ten hours and paid extra for after hours fee plus I was not advised of deposit and filled tank but was charged for miles not kilometers and I defiantly did not use that amount of miles plus you’re app never allowed me to hire professional movers so I had to pay third party at double price I will not use services again

System was down so had to re-enter all info and was extremely slow. Truck wasn’t swept out units fairing all beaten up nor had it been washed in months. The requested dolly and moving pads are not available at this location. I frequent this location as it’s in a truck stop( I drive semi for work) and have never seen a dolly or pads there.

The gentleman works was 5 Stars! Downfall was the trailer was frozen in and the employee did not have the proper equipment to help him out, this is the fault of Uhaul themselves, not his. I could see his frustration. He was quick to get me a different trailer but if there wasn’t one available that would’ve absolutely messed up my day/week depending on when I could get a new trailer. I rent 10-15 trailers a year and book help based on these days so if one isn’t available it really upsets my business.

Your truck is not equip with winter tire. Especially this season, you know people will load a lot of things on the truck or tow something. I got stuck after loading my things, after unloading, going to return the truck 3 times in one day!.... Not good experience my friend!

Hours of operation are only until 2:30 pm M-F, quite short if someone has to drive a great distance, unload and take vehicle back in time or risk having to spend overnight so that they can take it back for 9am opening time Suggest.an after hours key drop (since this counter is located in a 24 hr gas station complex) along with a date/time stamped filled out paper attached to the keys testifying the details of the drop off. Better solution would be to be open until 4pm or 6pm.

Real review is for U-HAUL MOVING & STORAGE AT 17TH ST 7403 17TH ST NW EDMONTON, AB T6P1P1 (780) 944-0061 Was terrible! Booked a car hauler 3 days in advance and when I arrived to pick it up its was still attached to another truck and covered in frozen road slush. So bad that they couldn’t unhook it from the truck. The. The truck it was still attached to wouldn’t start. So they just said go to another location and get one. Terrible customer service!!! Guy working at coldshot Sherwood park didn’t seem to know how to use the computer to get the reservation

Reserved several days before pickup dolly and blankets. None were available at time of pickup. Truck windshield was covered with .5 inch ice. No scraper available.
