I was over charged for the rental I was charged $52 when I picked up the unit and that amount was supposed to be adjusted once mileage etc was assessed when I returned rental. Was charged an additional $92 when I returned it. 60 Kms. Gas was topped up the where it was when I rented it and still no refundsam D.

The drop off location was also a convenient store. They refused to give me deposit back. Which was a struggle to get back. As she claimed it would "go into my bank account " refused to put it directly back onto my debit or cash. After 30 mins they finally reimbursed but of course took $33 for gas fee when the gage didn't move. In the past I ONLY rented from Uhaul however, I WILL NEVER rent again!SONIA D.
While I was at this location disputing the additional charges for fuel and a dolly I didn't receive another customer called in charge complaining of the same problem. Fuel level was incorrect to start with and then after filling up still being charged for gas. I have never had such a bad experience renting a truck in 15 years I will never go back there.Chantale C.
When I picked up the truck there was less than a quarter tank of fuel in it. Would have been nice to start my day with a full tank instead of going straight to the gad station.....Colin S.

Give yourself a one hour buffer at this location. Not a convenient location when your original location request was for downtown Kitchener - not this location's fault, but a point I wanted to make. Dolly I ordered online with the truck was not in the truck. U-Haul reimbursed me for this, unfortunately I don't get reimbursed for the inconvenience of having to go to another location and rent another dolly. Luckily that location was right across from my building. Dealing with this location was a bit frustrating as I did the online check-in but still had to go through a bit of a waiting process when I showed up to get the truck. Furthermore, if there are any issues, and you have to go back into the store, there are numerous people there early in the morning waiting to check lottery tickets and scratch tickets. This means you have to wait until they are dealt with, so the process is slow. This can be incredibly frustrating if you are on a tight schedule. Truck was not very clean, and definitely didn't appear to be disinfected or anything. There was garbage left behind from the last user. Wheel alignment was off, and the truck had severe exhaust issues, I raised these concerns with U-Haul directly.JASON S.
On August 24, 2020, I reserved a 15' truck for September 5, 2020. I went to Sunny Hill Gas and Smokes at 139 Queen Street West in Cambridge, Ontario, to pick up the truck but I was told that the truck was not available. They told me that they would give me a $50.00 credit for their mistake. They told me that I could pick up the truck at 215 Beverly Street in Cambridge. As I was leaving the U-Haul location and going onto the street, a dolly flew out of the back of the truck. Someone behind me stole it and left. My wife informed the location about the dolly. They said they forgot to secure the back of the truck. After returning the truck to the same location, I was told to check my U-Haul account for the balance. I was shocked to find a total balance of $71.99 and $30.26. Was the $50.00 credit included? Also, was I charged for a replacement dolly, which I was not responsible for? Cashier was not properly trained and didn't know what to do. Allowed me to leave with the truck without giving me a paper showing the mileage and gas level as it's custom on other uhaul locations. I knew that wouldn't end up well so I took a picture of the dash and asked her to write it down but he cashier didn't seem to care. Later when I returned the truck the new cashier was slightly more competent and realized that the morning cashier that released the truck to me did not do a proper job and didn't send me an email with the details. Luckily I had taken pictures of the dash before leaving and after arriving, they were charging me extra for less gas on the tank but I disputed it and with a call to uhaul customer support it was fixed.Jose I.
I received a confirmation email saying I could pick my truck up at 8:00 a.m this morning. When I arrived the store was closed. They did not arrive until after 9:00 a.m. This was VERY inconvenient for me as I was paying 2 people to help me move. There was 2 hours I had to pay them for sitting waiting for the store to open. Then we found out that the middle seat belt didn't work, so one of the guys had to drive our personal car as well. All in all this was not a great experience for me.Chadd H.
