The owners at the store were very very sweet and helpful. On the other hand, uhaul needs to be more organized.. uhaul called me in the morning saying they changed my reservation location for some reason, so we went to the changed location, we got there, there was no one there or not even a good number to contact. Luckily, the owners at the Cottage Grove location had called me asking me about my reservation and why I didn't make it, well I told them what had happened and that they called me saying they changed my reservation location and they told me they would hold a truck for me if I wanted to go back, bc they were just as confused as to why uhaul changed my location in the first place, so we had to drive all the way back to the original location. Thank goodness they helped me out and were very sweet but like I said, uhaul needs to be more organized. I stayed on the phone for 30 min on customer service to not even be answered.GERARDO J.
What could be improved about the location is that they have a bigger sign that let's customers know where they are at. Also, they need to update their system with the correct location address since they have moved from the address that they have in the system.SONDRA B.

I ordered two dollys, and blankets several days before only to be told on the moving day that they didn't have any of that. That was unprofessional. I didn't have time to try and get another truck. Also I was charged for gas even though I returned the truck with the exact same amount it was given to me. The address online is NOT the correct address. I will be posting online about that location with hopes of raising enough awareness to close it down.Kevin S.

Pick up was pretty easy and one staff member was quite helpful. However, the return process was horrible. No one was around to help, the lot where the trailer was supposed to be dropped off was full of snow. It was not plowed what so ever. Our car got stuck and the trailer that needed to be returned. Drop off took over an hour after trying to get unstuck. Unacceptable. When I mentioned it to the store owner that the lot needs to be plowed, she yelled that it's not their lot. Hello U-Haul, My name is Bryant Riley. I ordered a 10ft U-Haul moving truck to drive from Philadelphia to Chicago. My return date for the vehicle was scheduled for Wednesday, October 21st at 7:00AM. I attempted to return the moving truck at 7:00AM on October 21st at 7843 S Exchange Ave, Chicago, IL 60649, but the gate was locked, which meant that I could not turn in the truck. I then gave U-Haul a call at 7:33AM after giving up with trying to open the gate and locate the drop box to turn in my U-Haul keys. After speaking with the first customer service representative, we agreed to change the return location to 8209 S Cottage Grove Ave Chicago, IL 60619. The representative also agreed to compensate me $25 for my inconvenience. When I arrived at the second return location (8209 S Cottage Grove Ave Chicago, IL 60619), the drop box was compromised and not secure, which meant that I could not return my key. I gave another call to U-Haul customer service at 8:09AM. The customer service representative told me that my only option was to try a third return location. Traveling to a third location would have made me late for work. I also asked the representative for other alternative solutions and she firmly told me that my only option was to travel to another location. I then called customer service for the third time at 8:22AM, and I reached the first customer service representative that I originally spoke with, and we agreed to leave my keys in the truck, lock the doors, and take pictures of the truck. This last phone call to U-Haul lasted 28 minutes. I was late to work this morning due to this inconvenience, and my return process took an one hour and fifty minutes. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. U-Haul has to do a better job of verifying return locations for customers that want to return vehicles outside of business hours. I have proof of every call that I made to U-Haul this morning: 7:33AM (lasted 14 minutes) 8:09AM (lasted 13 minutes) 8:22AM (lasted 28 minutes) I also have pictures of the unsecure drop box at the Cottage Grove location. I would like to speak with someone from corporate customer service regarding this experience, and I would like to be fairly reimburse for this inconvenience. I'd rather go to Uhaul not a side dealer. Uhaul need to have power windows and power door locks in their vehicles and cruise control for long distance moving.Candice B.

Truck has problems when pushing on the gas paddle. On expressway when truck reached 60 mph the steering-wheel was extremely difficult to control. The truck was swerving over to the other lanes and the cars around me beeped at me. I made it to my location buy on the way back i had to take the side streets. there was blood on the ceiling, the overall truck was filthy and smelly. I have rented UHaul trucks before and hold UHaul in high regards. This truck was the truck from Hell.ROSA P.
