No one was wearing masks. One guy comes walking up with a mask. But it is hanging around his neck. AND.........he has a gun on his side very visible . I will never ever use this place again. I felt very scared and couldn't wait to get out of there ! I said something to the clerk waiting on me about the gun , his response was. â€œ oh yea â€œ. I rented a 12ft pull behind trailer. When I got the trailer to my first location (10 miles) I noticed one of the tires needed air, was very low. Loaded trailer my drop off was 2 hours away I had to stop and air the tire. The tire was flat once I arrived. I was able to get the trailer to drop off location- thankful it was only a couple of miles from last stop.Samuel S.
I reserved a 20 foot truck. I got to the location to pick up the truck and learned they had no 20 foot trucks available. I was given a 26 foot truck. The reason I reserved the smaller truck is because my driveway slope is so steep a 26 foot truck would not make it up the hill. We had to park on the street and the movers had to walk up and down the steep sloped drive way. More time was spent doing this which in turn cost me more money.Alesia D.
The only issue I had was waiting for approval. I checked in online. It took 20 minutes to get cleared to leave. It counted against my 2 hour time frame. Your time should start when you leave the premises.Mary W.

The truck looked like it was in an accident the front bumper was pushed up and in and then they was a dent in the back that they tried to say we caused. That was not our fault it was already there. They tried to charge us $150. I called customer service to dispute it. I was very unhappy.Amber A.

Over all the places were great. But our pick up and drop off got changed several times. When I select a place to pick up and drop off there is a reason I do so. It is to keep mileage down. Plus I know where they are located. Try to keep drop offs and pick ups where scheduledAngelia C.

Trailer was not returned on time, but that is not the location's fault. The return process on the app for location does not work. I ended up on hold for customer service for 45 mins. When I reserved my trailer, I chose a pickup location 5 miles from my house, ended up having to drive 25 miles to get the trailer. Again not the locations fault, but Uhaul reservation fulfillment. To far out of the way from where I live. Also went to pick up the car tow trailer from a DIFFERENT location, and NO ONE was there!! Left messages on two different numbers and no one ever even called me back. Good thing we didn't HAVE to have it,Paula R.

Original reservation in Hoover, AL. Changed to Pelham without my knowledge. Arrived after a 4 hour trip from Atlanta, and Pelham had no truck for me. Then had to drive to Birmingham for a 26 foot when I had reserved a 10 foot. Lost hours and had to pay more in fuel for a truck way bigger than I needed. Awful experience. Will never rent from U-Haul again.Cheri P.

I had a number of issues, unfortunately. I made the reservation about a month ahead of time but on the day of my reservation I was informed that the 10ft truck was unavailable but that my reservation had been Moved and for a 26ft truck. I was mortified. I was going to drive a 15 hr trip in a practically empty truck. Regardless of traffic and construction, I was most concerned of being blown around for all 15+ (however long it would have taken me). The Trussville location was relatively nonchalant and there was no calming my worried and angry father. I had to grit my teeth, disrespect my father to calm him, and expressed how unsafe this trip was going to be for me. I wish I knew the name of the gentleman that walked in and told the guy to put the 10ft truck he had just brought in down for my rental. Saved the day!!! It was a shock because then the man behind the desk revealed (ever so nonchalant) that he was behind in checking in vehicles. The trouble didnt end there- none of my cards would go through. Very disconcerting. After a Number of phone calls, the situation was confirmed as being an issue on the merchants end. I am familiar with this kind of situation in my own previous employment with a different kind of business- sometimes the system goes down. But the man at the front continued to tell me it was My cards while also other families were clearly having similar issues. I was incredibly stressed and pressed for time. Well, the nameless gentleman who proved repeatedly to be my saving grace happened to be walking by outside and I decided it wouldnt hurt to put a bug in his ear about the situation- that clearly this was affecting more than just me. He immediately walked me through and was able to run my card successfully the first time. Not sure if he had to bypass something or what... I didnt ask... but I am so grateful!! Unfortunately, the truck itself was nasty and full of flies. Driving down the interstate with the windows down helped the stink and flies after a few hours. I guess that's just trucks for you. I was concerned by the whole trip that i may have put myself in harm's way and will be tested for Covid tomorrow. Thank you for getting me and my belongings to the northern border. But the customer service given to me by SEVERAL of your staff at Multiple locations in AL shouldnt have to rest on the back of one man in Trussvile.Samantha R.
