Van condition was terrible. There was garbage in the cup holders and a jacket behind the driver's seat. The cabin had a bucket from the previous use. It was stained smelly and disgusting. When I returned it I was charged a cleaning fee despite the vehicle being given in poor condition. I was told rhat i should have complained before i took the vehicle which means they dont check the vehicle or clean it but will still charge a cleanjng fee. Will not use this location again.

The van I rented was smelled like someone used it to move around livestock. It smelled god awful and wasn’t cleaned inside whatsoever. There was garbage and a rusty nail left in the cup holders, as well as dirt in the front and back.
BOBBY HI had to go to another U-Haul location because the truck I reserved was rented out for some reason. Lost time having to address and tbe truck I got was virtually on empty so I had to once again lose time filling up.

JULETTE Mthis location is very convenient to my home however, every time I go to pick up or return, there is always a very long wait The store owner will constantly take other clients in front of U-Haul clients and U-Haul clients will always be standing and waiting sometimes up to 45 minutes yesterday when I went to return the U-Haul initially, I explained to him that he had charged me too many kilometers. He said it wasn’t his job. I have to call U-Haul. I stood for an hour and 15 minutes arguing with this person so that he could check in the U-Haul and he refused to do so while I was in the store he then directed me to a QR code and told me that I could do it on my own. I attempted to do this as this was an infuriating Experience. The U-Haul app was not working to upload and close the account for my return, therefore still having to reserve back to the store owner to do this for me again he continue to refuse to do this for me and told me that you all is not his first business and not his first priority. This is becoming very frustrating as I know several people who are having the same experience with this specific store as mentioned it’s very convenient as it’s walking distance from my home however it would never be my first option to do this. I would rather drive to another location close by as the experience is much more friendlier and it’s the same situation where they are located inconvenience stores, and store owners still treat you as a customer.

But they playing each other. Customer service person told that site manager will contact me . Site rep/ owner told that nothing can be done from their end and U-Haul will contact will. They charged me unreasonable price . I never go there and recommend any one. But I will tell my friends not to go there . It’s a trap. Before payment they will offer an attractive rate . But one they get credit card information, they will charge huge amounts. Please reimburse my money. Please review my complaint. Please and Thank you

Had to wait 10 minutes inside before the agent helped me. Then he kept leaving to serve other shoppers. When I complained about how long it was taking he was very rude. Then after it took 35 minutes total to get checked out he had the nerve to tell me to bring it back on time because someone else had reserved it. Never again.

KENNETH AI rented a van for few hours on Sept 7 at the Daisy Mart in Pickering. The Van was very dirty, with stinks in the seats, cigarette buts in the door handle and rest of pets food all around the cabin. It smelt bad.

The website should be changed and advise your customers the vehicle is from Arizona and operates in miles.!!!! Other then that pleasant staff at location but U-Haul company needs to do better!!!
RICHARD NThe pick was changed 1 day before and was deliberately given 40kms away so that U-Haul can charge extra mileage. Very poor. If I knew that I had to go 40kms to pickup the truck, I would have gone for Home Depot’s truck. Will never recommend U-Haul to my friends
SAGAR MThe steering is very loose. The truck I rented is a dangerous vehicle. Major suspension and steering repairs are required. If this vehicle is involved in an accident in the near future, I will happily share my concerns with the police, in whatever country it occurs.

NHUT TTruck booked wasn't there. Guy said call uhaul it's not his problem, he also kept getting up while serving me to deal with convince store customers. The process was an hour long. Truck had foor all over seats.

Geoff SWent to pick up truck but the website was not working at Daisy Mart to complete the contract with UHaul. Store owner took a picture of credit card & drivers license to input later. after about an hour received a phone call from Daisy Mart the credit card was not working so I provided a second card. After that I received a call from UHaul that the contract was not completed because no payment had been completed. Provide my credit card number to UHaul that processed the payment successfully. Meanwhile Daisy Mart was advising me that the second credit card number provided also was not accepting the charge. All a bunch of Crap. Don't know what the issued was with Daisy Mart but a very poor client experience. All transactions should be processed by UHaul and not these other outlets. Rented a truck a while ago from a small outlets and very Bad experience there.

TRAVIS CStay away from this place if you want a smooth rental experience! I reserved a van 3 days prior to my pick up date, I wake up on pick up date (reserved for 1pm) and notice a signed contract in my email by some other customer with MY reservation ID # and MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED since it was picked up under my reservation. The store did not verify the driver name/credit card name, I don’t understand how this happens! It literally felt like identity theft since this random customer got our rental van, our card was charged, it was under our login/reservation so I had access to even return the truck that I didn’t even have, I have access to the receipt as if I rented the truck!!! The store clerk “apologized” and said he doesn’t know what happened and to wait till his son comes in to help further, so we returned to the store 2 hours later to figure this out, the son said we would be reimbursed the charges however the $140 was already pending on my card, so I had to wait a few business days for it to charge and then reimburse. We even called U-Haul customer service to complain and confirm we would be reimbursed since it wasn’t us who picked up the rental and the rep said yea the store confirmed reimbursement and he apologized and even said the area manager William Abram will contact us to follow up regarding this. Then since our van was already taken by someone else, we ended up taking a 10 foot cube truck to get our work done (this was now 4pm), I asked for a discount for all the hassle and he said he would give us the $16 insurance on them but he will reimburse the $16 on return. Since we wanted to make sure we were reimbursed the $16 we tried really hard to return the truck before 9pm as that’s the store closing time. We returned the truck at 8:30 only to find out the store was already closed!!!!! So we returned the next day to get our $16 back and there was another person working who had no idea of the situation or how to reimburse us the $16, I left my contact details along with the new reservation we did for the cube truck as the owner KNEW the situation and was to reimburse us and guess what? We never heard from them- no follow up no phone call no refund as well as not follow up or phone call from the area manager either. I was furious and complained to U-Haul, who did not even respond with words but rather just refunded, BUT REFUNDED THE CUSTOMER WHO INITIALLY TOOK MY RENTAL VAN (since after reimbursing my card, the store clerk took the customers credit card details to charge). I again was furious describing they refunded the wrong customer, the customer they refunded - those charges are VALID it’s the customer the store gave my reservation to!!! I then had to again, give our contract number, explain which credit card was to be reimbursed even though I already gave those details in my initial dispute! Again, I was sent a refund receipt with no acknowledgment on the situation from someone named Kelly Gedge from U-Haul. Avoid this nightmare!!!!!!!!
Sarabubla VIt was the worst experience I had with a U-Haul rental. 1. The local team didn't set up 24/7 pick-up. - He lied to my face, telling me that they don't do 24/7 pickups even though they have lock boxes outside for key pickups. 2. I originally booked the van from 5:30 AM - 11:30 AM. - since I had to wait for the store to open (at 8 AM) when they gave me the key, they told me I had to return the van at 11:30 AM. So my 6 hours of allocated time got reduced to 3 hours!!! 3. The van was extremely dirty. Construction materials dust - severely impacted my breathing. They didn't even bother cleaning. Please don't rent from this place.

The rate posted online is also different than what I was charged 0.69c/km versus 0.95c/km for a 9' van. I will not be recommending this service or location but mostly because the rate was different than advertised and I can't trust this service anymore. The van itself was in good condition, clean and drove well.
