They were not there when we arrived. Although I had asked for in person pick up and their hours showed them as open, the only way we could actually pick up the truck was to contact a u-haul representative and have them remotely change the pick up to “online”. Luckily, this business had set it up for this and the key was in the lock box. I would have appreciated it if they had reached out to me with this change to avoid the time delay of figuring it out upon pick up. The person we spoke to from u haul was amazing and able to help us completely.

I had to back the trailer in with no assistance or offer of assistance. Then had to disconnect it, there were plenty of employees so it wasn't a lack of help just no interest in helping!

The location I HAD to get the truck from was fine....But it was not the location I contracted for. After I contracted for the rental I received an email from haul saying the location for pick up had changed to one approximately 15 miles away - I wonder if that was so I would have to pay for more mileage???

do not advertise 19.95 when you charge a fortune for mileage to use a haul for an hour to pick up one sofa should not have cost me 81.00 your staff took forever to get me processed they use an old ipad instead of a fast running computer very unprofessional mannerisms will pay a private service before i ever use uhaul again!!!

Employees not wearing masks in confined space. No indication the van was sanitized. I brought my own sanitary wipes. Guy was snarky when I balked at $8 in gas for 17 miles. 100% markup? Not told price in advance otherwise i would've topped it off. "So you didn't use any gas? " he asked. Then told me i can take it to gas station. I live 25 houses away from this business and I will NOT use them again.

My pick up place kept getting changed and it was not at the designated location when I went to pick it up. I even got a notification right as I was picking up the truck that it was at a location in Amherst. Thanks to Robert at Dave's Auto, I was finally able to pick it up Saturday morning (7/20/19). He made a special trip in so that I could pick up my truck.

This experience was a nightmare. I scheduled my pickup over the phone. I requested an appliance dolly and a 20 foot truck. I was told everything would be ready for me. I got a call about 4 hours later saying that they cant give me the truck I requested even though thay had already told me it would be ready. So they made me drive MUCH further out of my way to a totally different location costing me more in gas and mileage. The dolly I requested was not in the truck even though I paid for it. I was VERY upset about the entire situation. The whole experience was terrible and I never want to put myself through that again.

It makes it so much easier when what you are renting is all at one location. I had to go to different locations to get the rental equipment I needed. Very irritating. Doing this put on extra mileage to the truck I rented, causing additional time needed to fully complete my rental.

Worst rental I have ever had was laughed at embarrassed degraded. Had to wait till 2 pm to receive my rental because the guy wasn't there they gave me a broken truck had to end up parking it for hours in the pooring rain on the side of the road called customer service spent 30 mins talking to some guy he laughed at me talked to another person spent 50 mins on the phone got nowere she said she was talking to all these people road side assistance a manager and someone else 50 mins later I finally get transferred to a manager she tell Mr there's nothing I can do for you gives me additude....they gave me a bad truck all I wanted Todo was take the truck they gave me a either replace it or drop it off not at the same location I picked it up at because it was breaking down on me and I didn't want to get stuck in the country I'm the pooring ran sitting on the side of the road I will never come here again everyone stay away 3HRS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ALMOST 4... 1 45 MINS ON THE PHONE A BROKEN TRUCK NON COMPLETED JOB ..AND THEN IT WAS MY FAULT STAY AWAY FROM UHUAL

David's Star Automotive worked hard to fix an issue we had and I left very happy. The truck we had reserved was not returned when it was supposed to be, and Davids gave me a larger truck at the same cost to make up for it. I would go back to them again and recommend them to anyone.

I have pictures to prove..... contract stated 1/4 tank of gas at the exact mileage on speedometer and contract. However, it was barely above empty. We had to go and get gas BEGORE we left the street. Told attendant and gave her copy of pictures. All she kept saying is that they aren't allowed to go get gas for the trucks. If they handle gas in this manner, it makes me wonder how poorly they upkeep other things like oil, tires, maintenance, etc. One of the poorest experiences we have had with Uhaul. Extremely concerned on the condition of your rentals and will be from here on out. Are you really watching for our safety as the signs in the truck rentals say? Today, it blatantly smacked us on the face. Shame on you to take safety so lightly. On a Positive note: Anna the attendant was courteous.

I called the day before to make arrangements. Working under a time pressure schedule. We arrived early(before your business opened) for pick up and to handle details and were on our way within 5 minutes of our scheduled truck ready time. Phone and in person employees courteous, helpful and pleasant. Returned the vehicle after your business closure time as arranged and had an email response from you the next morning within a half hour of your opening so that we knew you had the truck. Also informed in advance that we would get a larger truck at the price of the smaller we requested at the same price as smaller truck as a smaller truck was not available. I've always had a great experience using uhaul. This specific one was terrible. First, I requested a 20 foot truck with a truck tow trailer a week before my move from the Niagara falls Blvd location. Got a call from dispatch that they had to change my location to a Kenmore one because it was larger and I would have a better chance of getting what I needed. Not ideal, that would mean more mileage price but ok. I can accept that if I could get the truck I needed. They said I'd get a call the following Wednesday to confirm this. I did get a call last Wednesday and they said the location had to be changed again to the 1400 Genesee location to get the trailer and the truck size they had wasn't the 20 foot truck I needed it was only 17 foot. I was a bit tight with money from Christmas so it wasn't financially realistic for me to get a truck from one location and drive to another for the trailer to then go to my house and move everything..go to the NEW location and then bring the truck to uhaul after...not for $.99/mile. So I said fine and went on Saturday to pick up the truck. There were a few people waiting in line and the staff seemed nice enough. Got the truck, we moved and we brought it back to a uhaul dealer close to me which wasn't the pick up destination. I was COMPLETELY UNAWARE there's a difference between in town and one way options. No one at the pick up location explained this to me and the manager is the one who set up the contract for me. I specifically mentioned the location we were moving from and the ending location for us. I also mentioned that I would be bringing the truck back to wherever was closest to me which happened to be the Hopkins rd location. I thought, why pay for 7 more miles when I can pay for 1?? When I said what my plan was no one mentioned that they decided to set me up for in town uhaul and what that meant for my described plan. In other words, if I brought the truck to a drop off other then where I picked it up they would charge me an over $200 fee because I dropped it off about 6 miles away! When I saw the primisary note in my e mail the very next day I called the drop off location and they told me to call Genesee location who then explained what and why I was being charged and to apologize for NOT EXPLAINING THE DIFFERENCE IN THE FIRST PLACE TO ME!! I was told to call the Hopkins store and see if they would reverse the contract and open it up again so I could drive that truck back to the Genesee store and they would cancel the charge. The manager then explained to me that the truck we rented specifically belonged to his store and they have trucks for in town only rentals and trucks for one way rentals. This truck was a in town rental to which he again apologized for not explaining that to me when initially signing me up. I hung up and called back the Hopkins location and explained the conversation with the woman who answered the phone. She spoke to her manager who got on the phone with me and she said, "I'm sorr

It took way too long to get the vehicle. The clerk couldn't figure out the transaction to the computer. He had to get help from someone else. The return process was terribly painstakingly long. The same guy couldn't how to figure out how to issue a receipt. He apologized ten times but I would rather have had a timely transaction. Way too long!

This location was the only good thing we dealt with U-Haul last week , the Orchard Park store was very rude and ridiculous , honestly the manager needs training on customer assistance, the customer service reps that we talked to ,all but one were not helpful at all

Uhaul some how charged me for 2.2 gallons of gas when I only drove 5.5 miles. Makes no sense, it wasn't running idle either. Also, i must've missed this in fine print, it's $.99/mi on weekends but they advertised $.79/mi. The people at pickup location were wonderful, no issues with the location just uhaul its self.

Everything about the rental experience was excellent. Was in and out of the office on the day of renting quickly - and drop off can be done after hours. I highly recommend using the Hopkins Rd UHaul at Dave Star Automotive - fast, friendly service and close the Route 5 and the I 190 in Buffalo for easy access from anywhere.

No problems with clerk, but my credit card was not accepted and it is a valid Mastercard. It made the whole experience awful and cost me money cause I loaded my card at the clerks request and then it would not go through. I then had to take the cash off and pay in cash. There was no one he could call to resolve it. I will not be renting a U Haul again, I will go to another company where my Credit Card is accepted.
