Actually it charged me 24miles more. When I received truck, the guy didn't check mileage with me, Therefore I told myself it is better to take a picture to avoid wrong mileage calculation since he really charge mileage expensive. Once I am back to return the truck, his system records is not same as my picture. I explained to him but he ignored my any explanation. Even I showed him the picture timestamp which shows the morning when I received the truck.Liqun L.

Person is kind of demanding for things. He mentioned if blankets not folded back and put in back again there was extra charge. Never been told this in any other location. Equipment is definitely not really maintained by location, persons warms if not clean at come back there is a 25$ penalty. Truck handbrake release gets stuck.ABEL F.

Convenient and an easy rental process in place. The information provided was accurate and the pick-up and delivery of the vehicule just as confirmed. The initial requirement was to get hold of the vehicule in Laval, however there was no availability and had to drive to Dollard-des-Ormeaux to pick-up the vehicule. The owner of the establishment was very unpleasant complaining a lot because there was no space to park the truck and trailer. Even though I told him that Uhaul had called me and told me that would be the drop off location, he didn't stop complaining to me. He refused to make an inspection with me to check the truck. Uhaul charged me a cleaning fee, but I already took the truck without being clean. They also charged me more for gas because they registered the gas gauge above the real one, even though I have photos to prove it.Alex C.

The fellow was totally unprofessional. Calling me â€œmy friendâ€. Not letting me review the rental contractâ€¦ Imposing a return time of 6:45PM stating he was closing at 7PM (when in fact the rate would have been the same for a 24h period). Being rude and not accommodating. And â€œrentingâ€ unhautorized equipment straps at 5$â€¦alex C.

We brought back the truck clean and put back same amount of gasoline there was initially. Had to argue with the guy so he doesn't charge 30$ extra for gas because he said there was a bit missing. Luckily we had pictures as proofkassandra C.
I wont rent a van again from Uhaul as it charged me 81 $ for total 20 km driving and moving a double bed. There is 20 $ unexpected extra charge called "charge for returning the van after the openning time of the store", but I returned the van 1 h before the return time in my contract. I emailed them about this problem but no response yet. Before I thought about Uhaul as an affordable and hassle free moving option but not anymore. Be careful with the charges and your contract if you want to use it.Sanaz S.
The whole experience was horrible. I received a quote, I picked up my vehicle with an estimate which exceeded both amount of mileage and time and I ended up paying far more. Was unable to do a mobile pickup, had to wait 45 minutes for someone to show up and customer service was not helpful. Overall very disappointing.Maria V.

The gas gauge on this vehicle did not function correctly and resulted in me filling way too much fuel upon the return of the vehicle. I have photographs proving that the gauge didn't move, but U-Haul want nothing to hear about it, they do not care. I spoke to the franchisee owner and U-Haul customer service and they both say the same thing which is that they are not responsible for overfilling the tank. I told them my dispute is not the fill but the defective gauge. I would like someone to call me back. Someone owes me for a half tank!Derek B.

There were coffee stains in the cockpit. The owner was racist, generalized my birthplace just by my surname( exact words : "are you from UP or Bihar(poorer and crime ridden place in India)?" also told me about the child marriage documentary he saw on BBC about India and used abusive language while describing the things he saw on TV.Bhupinder Y.

I will say the renting of the truck went well, I did that by phone and when we went to pick it up were helped over an ubove. Our experience with the storage unit however was another matter, the location on Brunswick lost/gave away our reservation and we ended being stuck outside in the snow having to rent a smaller unit.(luckily everything fit just! No room for anything else) I called the manager and was told the system isn't working properly.... well that is not our fault fix your service so you don't have that complete mess that happened. I wasn't given any help or special pricing just said we could go to another location! Excuse me you gave away our reservation you fix it and make it right, don't send us somewhere else that is not convenient for your costumers! Not impressed with Uhaul storage, what is worse is when i rented the truck i reserved the storage at the same time to make this smooth and facilitate our needs. So maybe Uhaul should just stick with trucks they seems good with that.Eileen L.

I had reserved a furniture dolly more than 2 weeks prior and the agent at this location said that he doesn't have one. I had to go to 65 Brunswick Ave. to pick one up. The rest was okay.Pietro N.
Be more transparent. e.g. I was told cargo van only available at 10am but needed one for 9am so had to cancel plans, then when I got there cargo van available had no functioning turning signals in rear, I had no choice but to take it as plans would have been costly to change again.
