For me, the location was far away (not convenient) and dark at night. It was closed (I used the truck on a Sunday) and it looked clean and well-run, but I can't speak directly to that. As far as the remote check-in using the app...apparently there is a known issue when using Chrome with the location settings. My phone wouldn't recognize location (a requirement) even though location appeared "On". I had to use the browser Edge. I called and was on hold for 30 min and got transferred to tech support where I had to hold extensively as well. I figured out using a different browser on my own, but the tech support rep knew how to fix the Chrome issue but I was too deep into the process with Edge. This needs to be addressed. It was neither easy nor convenient.Sharyn G.
I actually made the reservation at a different location. When I arrived to pick it up, they didn't have a unit there. They said UHaul screwed up with the scheduling and didn't notify me that it wasn't available. The clerk had to find me another unit. Luckily it was available at East Cherokee. They were great there, but stated they have the same problems with UHaul as well. Fix your scheduling problems!John C.

Problems were not necessarily the location's fault. The Uhaul app was very laggy, and would not let me complete the return process. Waited on hold for 45 minutes to complete return process instead. Very frustrating.Kayla W.

The truck had a rivet missing on a panel of the floor board which we fell into several times trying to load the truck. And the tail lights were not working which we only discovered upon driving at night. Impure based the insurance on the truck, but needed insurance onkur safety renting the truck. Also, I was I we charged for a 2 furniture dollies when I only rented one furniture dollie and only had one furniture dollie in hand at the time of rentalCharlotte T.

It would be great if the trailer had a trailer Jack to raise and lower the trailer when hooking up to my truck. That trailer ain't the lightest thing to hook up by yourself. Just a thought.Richard C.

Uhaul customer service line had numerous problems booking and maintaining my rental. Their external messaging system failed numerous times when booking: the text message and email promised to. me arrived hours after the reservation was made, making it very difficult to coordinate location. When I arrived at the location, the type of vehicle I had on reserve was not present. Due to this, I discovered that my initial reservation was canceled at the original location and booked elsewhere without notification. Thankfully, the worker at the store location was able to change my reservation to a vehicle they had on site. During the rental period, which was initially placed for four (4) hours, it became apparent that I would need to extend my rental time by an additional 36 hours. The price I was quoted for this extension over the phone was $44.00 in addition to what I had already paid. When the bill came due after returning the vehicle on time, the rental period was revealed to be $79.00 per day and extended to two (2) days instead of 36 hours. Now, I would imagine it would have been prorated since they were able to process my initial booking for four (4) hours. Instead I paid, in total, for 52 hours of use at a higher rate than was quoted to me over the phone when I called for the extension. This entire experience was exhausting and disappointing. When returning the vehicle, there was a check-box available entitled "I do not agree or understand these charges," which I checked with a note that I would like to be contacted immediately. They promised a response within 48 hours of receipt. It has now been 72+ hours and I have not received a call from a Uhaul representative to discuss these charges. Due to this experience, I am disinclined to use Uhaul for my future moves. To the customer service specialist reading this review, please reach out immediately to assist with a resolution.ZACHARY S.

The lady at this location was so extremely helpful. I ended up booking storage here because it is ultimately closest to my house. Unfortunately it is not a uhaul storage facility, despite being a truck rental and return location. So I missed out on my one month free. But it is a super nice facility with reasonable rates. I tried to return my truck using the app/phone check in but was unable to figure out how to adjust my return venue, since I returned it to a different location than what I had originally planned. Luckily, the lady had explained to me that I could drop it there when I finished unloading and what I needed to do on order to drop it off.Tracy F.

Both the women employees were very friendly and tried to be helpful. I wish I had been with made aware that the truck was not cleaned before me, because I was concerned that I would get charged bring it back in that condition. They put my mind at ease once I returned it thankfully, because there was just no time to clean it before my rental. everything else went smoothly... it's always a nice surprise to find out you owe a lot less - because there was a small mixup on whether I was returning the truck to the original location or not - so that made me happier! This was my first experience with Uhaul. So I learned I should always take a picture of the inside and outside. I would recommend them to anyone, especially if trying to save money. Much cheaper for a move that is more than a few miles distance. I used Home Depot in past for a short move within a few miles, because their charge is $19.99 an hour for flatbed truck! My complaint is with the online ordering experience. I needed to make 1 trip but ended up making 2 trips with the UHaul plus 4 others in SUV / truck. 15' is listed as being capable of moving a 2 to 3 bedroom house. My house I needed to move was only a 2 bedroom and the truck was way too small! I would've been happy to get a 20' or 26' in order to make the move in only 1 trip. East Cherokee Storage was excellent, but Uhaul needs to update truck descriptions.Justin B.
