Erica JacobsThe only issue I have with this experience is that we were overcharged for the mileage. I calculated out how far it was between locations, and the mileage on the odometer was 5 miles more than what was calculated. I realized during the drive that the odometer seemed to be cycling quickly, and after the calculations, I saw that my observation was correct. But the location was right near our home and next to a gas station for easy fueling before dropping it off.

I understand getting held up in traffic, but I was on a time schedule, and it worried me that no one was available to give me a key. I found the number on my phone and left a message. I was about to get a truck from another dealer when the phone rang. I appreciated the call back I got.

Christian YangIn the past, at a different location, when I returned a vehicle,after hours, I just drop it off and put the key in the dropbox. In this instance, although the person mentioned using my phone to return the vehicle. When I dropped the vehicle offafter hours at this location, locked it up and droped the key in the dropbox. It wasn't until I got in my car, and went to us my phone to advise them that the vehicle was returned that I became aware of the fact that it would be necessary for me to take multiple photos of the milage, full, interior, etc, etc, etc. Since the vehicle was already locked, most of the self-checkout could not be done. I approximated the milage and knew the full level, since I had just filled it up. It would have been benificai if that info had been related to me at pick-up.

Richard QuinnI had an appointment to pick up a truck at 9 AM. I was surprised to find out when I got there that the place doesn't open until 10. The truck had slightly over a quarter tank of gas. No one was present at 2 when I dropped the truck off. I would not use this facility in the future.

Ken StackhouseUpon pickup I had an issue with the trailer lighting that turned out to be a blown fuse. The blown fuse was identified and fixed at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Maple Shade at 121 E Kings Hwy, Maple Shade, NJ 08052. Those guys not only found the blown fuse but replaced it for me too.

TYRONE PERKINSI was moved to faiffax rd. location because location i first picked to rent vehicle no one was there. Wasted over 1.5 hours renting truck from U Haul totally unacceptable. I am not sure i can ever use U Haul again. Worse experience ever renting a vehicle.
John FrankowskiThey screwed up my contact. He asked me to pick it up a day early for free. Instead he started the contract that day. When I went to turn it in they charge me for an extra day because I didn't know he moved it up. Your system is broken. The customer signs then see the contract which is wrong.
Anthony WelkerThe place was nice and the attendant helpful. But the truck was not. The check engine light was on when I got in it . And I am appalled at the mileage and fuel claims. I drove it 52 miles, but was billed for over 100 miles. I was also billed for gasoline and should not have been.

Guadalupe RodriguezFor the second time in a row, the app was non-functional and I waited 30 min for the website to connect me with someone to actually be able to pick up my rental. The furniture pads that I ordered and was relying upon to keep my furniture safe in this move were not in the truck and customer support told me the location would handle it but the location said they were virtually only, and when pushed checked a shed and had no pads. This is on top of entering my one-way move 3 times into the website only to see that I was scheduled to drop off at the same location. I called customer service and tried to switch my drop off point, was told that was impossible but that I would not be charged the extra miles for having to return the truck to my former city instead of my new city. However, when I went to finalize my return, the website still had the extra charges I was assured weren't being assessed. I complained and disputed at that time, a week ago, and still have not heard back from customer service. I have now received an email and a text message demanding payment. When I tried to dispute again on the website as instructed, it would not let me submit the dispute without entering payment information. I am throughly dissatisfied with you services 2 consecutive times in a row and while I was happy to simply take my business elsewhere, I am now highly motivated to tell my experience to others. Especially since another customer was trying to pick up his rental and having the exact same issue I had previously where my reservation was confirmed but never made in your system. He'd been on the phone for 2 hours when I finally got myself checked out. I really do hope someone with the power to make systemic changes and culture shift actually reads these reviews. There are serious flaws with your technology and a distinct lack of help or responsiveness. Moves are extremely stressful and very expensive. Delays cost me money. Ruined furniture costs me money. It is unacceptable what myself and a fellow customer went through on the same day, and that I've been in his shoes before speaks volumes about the lack of care and concern the decision makers and leaders have with customer experience.

Julia CarletonI initially made my reservation for a different location and didn't receive notice until the night before that I'd have to travel 20 min. out of the way to the new location. When I called to try and change my reservation time, I was sent to voicemail. I left a message and never heard back. It has been more than 48 hours and still no response. I ended up changing my reservation online and thankfully it went through. When I picked up the truck, I chose the no-contact method and had trouble getting the key out of the lock box. The online instructions told me to go inside the location. When I knocked on the door (loudly), no one answered. I tried calling and was immediately sent to voicemail. After trying a few things, I was able to pry the lock open. Inside, the truck was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke. The next day, I called this location to see if I could extend the truck rental. Again, I was sent to voicemail and I did leave a message, asking them to call me back and let me know. Yet again, no one got back to me and I never heard back from them. I decided to play it safe and just return the truck on time and use my personal vehicle for multiple trips back and forth. I'm now in my new apartment and I still haven't heard back from this location. I would NEVER recommend this place or return. After all of this nonsense, I doubt U-Haul will be my first choice for truck rentals in the future.
Morgan PritchettI can't think of any improvements. The process was very quick and easy both in picking up a van and extending the rental period and quick assistance in returning the well maintained 9 foot cargo van. (They have larger moving trucks, too.)

Jacquelyn VerishU-Haul themselves nearly screwed up my entire experience. They changed my rental location and never notified me. If I hadn't checked it on a whim, I would have gone to the wrong place to get my trailer and never would have made it to where I was going in time. The new location was great and accommodating. I had no issue with them at all. But I'm very upset with U-Haul.
Raymond LopezUpon picking up the vehicle, the truck had a screw in the front tire causing it to lose air. The check engine light was on and the alignment of the vehicle was severely off causing the truck to shake violently upon reaching 68 MPH or more. When I went back in to the office to report the issues, I felt as though I was bothering them. I will give them credit as they called and had a repair service come to our house and replace the tire before our 450 mile trip. These issues should have been corrected prior to leasing the vehicle.
Brandon SharpsteenMake the gas charge known prior to signing up….I thought I saw something like it would be a premium per gallon, but instead it looks like I paid quadruple that amount if you include the gas service fee. In my mind that is completely unacceptable. I would have filled my tank if I was more aware of what exactly I would pay. Especially since I used about an eight of a tank, the amount I paid for fuel related services is criminal.

Kevin McLoughlinPhone told me to go to one car and I went through all the steps then the lockbox provided was a for a different van. That van said tire system needed to be assessed. Called and was on hold 40 mins. The rep sent me back to the other van. The van needed window washer fluid and the last person left tissues inside. Won't be using this location again.
Janay GambleWhen I made my reservation I was supposed to pick up the truck in Cinnaminson then I get a call telling me I had to pick it up in Edgewater Park. Fine that’s closer then I got a confirmation email telling me I had to go to Cherry Hill. Then I get there the guy wasn’t there I no code to open the lockbox to get the key to the truck. I had to wait for him to arrive 20 mins later. Driving all the way from Cherry Hill to Willingboro added additional mileage that I had to pay for and Uhaul also changed my drop off location from Hillside to Newark without asking.

Luis Palaciosthey need better wifi at the location, the check in was spotty and I am not sure the initial mileage was ever correctly recorded or the amount of gas that was in the tank which was slightly below 1/2 a tank. Just want to make sure I am being charged the appropriate amount.

Karen Nevins-GoldmanYou make it too hard to do business with you your policies suck especially on a one-way car transport Reno you make me the customer do you haul job the local manager in the lower Bucks area that handles transport rentals said they didn’t have any one-way rentals so I decided to scrap the idea of transporting a vehicle even though they did have transport trailers available they would not rent them one way and there was no compromise after deciding to cancel my trip someone called me on Wednesday, 4 June and said they had a one-way rental trailer if I wanted it but I had to travel 45 minutes from my location To pick it up I believe I’m doing U-Haul‘s job at this point so I go to the location that they have designated they call it a local neighborhood U-Haul agent very hard to find the place no U-Haul sign it’s off the beaten path Although the guy was a nice guy he’s in the cleaning business buddy Ranch U-Haul equipment on the side took me at least an hour to find him your auto transport trailers are very unstable I painstakingly made every effort to ensure the stability of the trailer including not over Loading it and not exceeding the speed limit recommend it on the trailer when traveling if you had a dip in the road or when a large tractor and trailer would pass you even at 55 or below the trailer had a tendency to start to whip I’ve used other car trailers in the past and I have gone faster than 55 maintaining the speed limit on highways as indicated some places allow you to do 70 And well towing a vehicle I always keep it 5 miles an hour below the speed limit but with your auto transport doing 55 and below in the cases I just stayed it your transporter does not perform well I believe you should investigate and re-think or redo your auto transfer trailers for improved safe travel.
