Hole was drilled into our gas tank prior to pick up. Picked up vehicle with 1/4 tank left and didn't notice the hole until I had filled up the gas tank and $53 worth of gasoline dripped out of the truck for two hours. I contacted Uhaul to be ignored for 3 hours and when the roadside assistance tech came to help, he did absolutely nothing besides look at our gas tank, say â€œgood luckâ€ and drive away. It then took 2 more hours for me to get into contact with Uhaul and force them to give us a replacement from a 24/7 location. We were then given the wrong vehicle and Uhaul was non-responsive for two hours. We finally got in contact with the owner of the facility and he was able to replace our vehicle and we unloaded and reloaded into our replacement truck(at 7:30 at night). Our move was supposed to begin at 12:00 and due to the overall negligence we lost a full day of travel, $200 in travel, and so much time dealing with anxiety and embarrassment while having to clean up spilled gasoline and hopelessly wait stranded while Uhaul provided no help. Our day ended at 2:30 the next morning while my husband had to report to his base at 5:00. I am overwhelmingly disappointed in all of the customer service that I experienced (or lack there of) and I am now concerned as to what to do for our second half of our military move in two months from Las Vegas to Prattville Alabama. I rely on this company to provide me with the ability to move my family and I through military moves but this experience has costed us $200 in groceries that were ruined, $53 in gasoline that was spilled throughout the gas station, and $400+ in reservations that didn't even provide the move in a timely manner as planned. I really hope to find a solution for this horrible experience that we received because it truly has caused such a disruption and added so much unnecessary stress to our already stressful move. We understand that accidents happen but none of what we experienced during that time was professional.Kaylee B.

I was promised a certain truck and given a smaller one with no extra discount I, and everyone else I've shared the experience with, would have expected. This caused me to do extra trips, and thus a longer day. The employee Jorge was great, he even supposedly called U-haul for a discount because of the inconvenience, which they denied. Overall, poor form by a huge company you'd expect more from. It's definitely not about a possible $10 discount at this point, it's the principle. Thx for reading.David R.
I went online and requested a storage unit and a truck. Since Uhual did not want to give me a truck at the same location as my storage unit i was unable to get a free month. This upset me as there were plenty of 15 foot trucks available at the site my storage unit is at. It makes no sense what so ever for Uhual to send a customer to a different location to pick up a truck from where their storage is. I could understand if there was not a truck available but the Uhual rep that gave me my storage unit was blown back by this as well. I guess this is a method you guys pull on paying customers t try amnd get more money out of them since returning a truck to a different location applies a fee.Blaze P.
