CLARK PI've been renting at Fast Gas & Propane for the past 4-5 years. We rent a truck for Relay For Life of the East Bay. The trucks are always clean and well maintained. The employees are alwasy helpful and very friendly!!

DAVID BI was ripped off. On August 8, 2026, I went to a U-Haul location in San Leandro, CA, and rented a truck. I drove it for 12 miles, yet I was required to put in 3.5 gallons of gas; it is not normal for a truck to consume that much fuel over just 12 miles. I feel frustrated because, out of the four people present at the store, no one helped me resolve the issue.

The guy at the counter didn’t explain anything well, I didn’t get clear instruction for the return, and the phone operator/helper gave me incorrect information on how the deposit is returned. david uThe back of the van wasn't clean. I recommend cleaning that area and the front cab with soap and water. A bucket of soapy water and a scrub brush is recommended for the rear interior portion of the van. The check out clerk was fair. When I returned the vehicle, I hadn't made it into the building yet and this strange guy came from who knows where and asked if I was returning a vehicle and he asked for the key. I asked him if he works at that facility. He said yes. I replied, "how do I know that you work here?" He got an attitude and walked towards the building in front of me without holding the door for me and I was behind him. He goes behind the counter. I get in line behind customers who were already in line. The check out clerk from the previous day remembered me and asked if I was returning the van. I replied yes. The check out clerk asked the guy with the attitude to check in the van and he refused to assist me all because I wouldn't give him the key to the van earlier. I do not know who's employed there or who could be a crook and take off in the vehicle. I acted in caution and he refused to service me and check in the vehicle. The rudeness wasn't called for. Customer service training looks good for that employee. The check out clerk from the day before helped check in the van.
Jualeah SI did not like that the van only had 1/8 of a tank of fuel. I then had to guess how much to put in. That sucks. Fill it up and I can replace what I use. Secondly the app would not work to upload any photos.

Rickie AThis place quoted me four hundred dollars if I kept the milage under two hundred miles , right Why did they Charge me another $200 when I kept the mileage under a 160 something miles, and then I filled the tank up back to where it was supposed to be 3/4 of a tank and they charge me $53 for f****** gas, I am beyond livid and I will be challenging that charge. This place is a joke. I would recommend any place other than this location. They will f*** y** over

CARLOS RThis was the worst experience with U-haul I have ever had. You make me want to get a truck so I never have to use your service again. Between multiple same day cancelations to a truck that shook like it might blow up when driven the speed limit. Then over 250 dollars later since I had to go much further from my home. All I can say is dont offer a sorry $ 50 credit because my time, my life cost more than $50 dollars.

Diane MWe reserved in Concord. They had a propane leak. We got routed to this location. They were friendly, helpful, efficient and probably the best Uhaul van I’ve ever rented because it only had 7000 miles. But, easy and effortless, checking which is what you need when you move.
Chad RWow what a better experience then the previous place I rented from. Since I needed a van fast, I wasn't able to reserve it via the app. The gentleman was very helpful and friendly. He explained and even when I called to modify my res a reservation, he was understanding. Highly recommend and will book again later today.

PAUL GThe truck was on empty pretty much and I had to stop for fuel right away, then while driving on the freeway it was hard to keep it in my lane the front of the truck kept swaying left and right we couldn't go over 45 miles an hour, the staff was very rude when asking about the fuel and again when I returned the vehicle. I was so upset by the time I finished using this vehicle. I was only able to make one trip when we had 2 trips planned, it was a waist of funds for the animal shelter and i will never use U haul again, I will be taking my business somewhere else as we use these trucks often. Jellys PI loved returning the truck to a gas station. Made it simple to top off fuel. When I picked up the truck the gas tank was full. I loved that! I think all rentals should be sent out with a full tank. Makes it easier upon return. No guess work on how much to top off a partial tank. (My experience with most of my other rentals.) Staff were courteous and efgicient. Kudos to them!
Tom MPick was easy, however, was not told about mileage limit and was charged more than quoted. Tried asking questions but the gentleman helping me didn’t seem interested in explaining anything. Just told me it is what it is.
