I was charged for equipment use of $14 extra which I didn't use anything but truck. I was charged $17.50 for fuel when gas gage never moved. I had truck less then 24 hours charged for full 24 hrs. I went 10 miles not 20 miles estimate. My quote for 24 hrs 20 miles was $79. So how do I get charged extra fees? Total charges were $86 somethingTina H.

Nice people easy drop off , But when I got my receipt emailed I had a $96 extra charge for missing blankets. I called and they couldn't help me. They followed the process and saw I rented 18 blankets and only returned 2. I explained I never got the 18 but they tried to fix but just gave me the 800 number and I spent an hour on the phone to get the charge refunded to me.Ronald S.

I drove from Rochester to pick up this full tow. When clearly there was other locations that was closer. I wasn't aware until on the hour of pick-up location this was a stressful move. My son inspected the tow to discover the tire pressure was low. Mind you, this tow is going from NY to GA very disturbing and stressfulVeronica S.

The location was fine and the staff was friendly and helpful completing the paperwork and the hooking the trailer up to my truck. The trailer however was not in the best shape, specifically the jack which was very hard to operate, it appeared to have been greased but was still functioning well. The tires on the trailer were also concerning, the tires on the drivers side were fine but the tires on the passenger side were well into their wear-bar indicating they should be replaced. I also don't believe the surge brake was functional on this trailer, I never felt it engage when slowing/ stopping the vehicle and trailer.Corey B.

Was charged 123.00 for a receiver because I forgot mine at home but the she brand name and everything that came with the receiver I can but at Walmart for 24.99, but being that I was 3 plus hours from home and didn't know if any place I could go to get one and still get the trailer I had no choice but to pay there priceYancey A.

A tire went flat on the trip. Turns out it the rubber burst at a plug used to fix a previous flat. Using repaired tires is very poor form I say. I don't know whose fault this is - the pickup location?John H.

Seems like cup holders are always grimy with uhaul rentals. Emphasis on giving attention to that area would really help. I also had to drive 2 hours round trip for my truck and could only get it after 10:30, so I had half a day to pack a 26' truck. No compensation offered.Andrew L.

I would have appreciated more notice that my trailer wasn't available anywhere near where I had reserved it. I had to drive 20 miles away to a location that opened an hour later. It really altered my schedule. The trailer I got was damaged when I picked up, so I hope there's no issues with U-Haul claiming it was me. The clerk told me that it was the person before me but due to lack of other trailers she out it back into service for me.Rory D.

1) Returning the rental after hours requires you to login to uhaul from your phone while you are at the return location so that your phones GPS location confirms that you have returned it to the correct location. You cannot complete the online return if you do not do this while still at the return location. This results in additional charges and in my case an hour and half call with uhaul customer service. Uhaul is fixing the issue but the hour and a half of on hold time negatively impacted my schedule. Please let your customers know that they need to go through the online return process before leaving the return location. 2) There is a $20 charge for returns made after hours. It is clearly listed at the end of the contract however I missed it and no one told me. Hours vary by location and as I found out can change based on individual holiday preferences and do not follow a consistent standard. Check the specific locations operating hours for your timeframe. 3) My reservation was made weeks in advance for a Friday pickup however I received a phone call on Thursday afternoon telling me that my pickup location changed to a location 30 miles from where I reserved to rental and that the new location would be open for only one hour on the Friday scheduled pickup day. I had to leave work on Thursday and adjust my entire schedule to pickup the rental a day early which is another factor to being charged extra which resulted in having to contact uhaul customer support which contributed to the hour and half call. 4) other than the messy logistics the equipment portion of the rental experience was great, the equipment worked perfectly and the people at the rental location were great, and uhaul said they have initiated a refund for the incorrect overcharges, hopefully this happens.Scott R.

We had paid for some equipment but it was not in the truck when we picked it up and we did not get the equipment because we picked the truck up before business hours.Charles M.

I was suppose to do pick up truck on line with my phone. I spent over an hour trying to figure out the links which kept me going in a circle. i almost canceled but when i called the office the man said they would be in the office so i was able to do pickup person-to-person. The man agreed that they had trouble w the links before. So They need to fix their links or not make phone pickup an option.JACQUELINE P.
But this survey is not asking how UHaul big office in regards to scheduling and app. We made our reservation with FLX Auto Group. But UHaul would call and schedule out rental at other locations for pick up. Second with the app and checking in the process took 30mins. We were told by UHaul we would receive the pass code box for the keys and be on our way. I will not be using Uhaul again but FLX Auto Group were awesome and patient with this very difficult process created by UHaul. I will rent from Penske from now on.jason D.
