The U-Haul pick up process on the website needs better on-boarding but this location was great.
David RThe total I paid for a 10’ truck for 24 hours was the same as what I paid for a 15’ truck for 72 hours from the location on Barlow.
LAUREN LThe person whom I picked up the Uhaul from told me, the truck is newer and has cruise control. The truck was newer but didn’t have cruise control. I drove from Calgary to Ottawa by pressing the gas non stop. My leg is hurting. Cruise control would have save a lot of gas and easier on the leg.
sarwar rMy rental location is changed and my whole booking got changed. I selected the different drop off location so that I don’t have to drive back to my pick up location. This was cost me more due to more mileages.
samir sEven though the owner was the only one working that morning, he was quick and efficient in getting our truck organized, and I was actually able to downsize from the original truck size I had reserved. Our gas tank for the new truck was supposed to be full, but unfortunately it was empty, possibly due to being ciphoned. The owner went above and beyond by coming out in the pouring rain to help us, adding $100 worth of gas to the truck, and updating my reservation accordingly. He was incredibly helpful and made what could have been a stressful situation much easier. I really appreciated his willingness to go the extra mile!

Susan WI was very happy with the service and the staff were very good to deal with. The truck had an exhaust leak that made it pretty loud but I feel it was a very recent occurrence that hadn’t been discovered yet as it got considerably louder as the day went on. I had a very positive experience with this rental otherwise.
Keith cThe equipment I ordered was not in the truck and had to go back for it. I called ahead and he had it ready for us but this was an inconvenience. I also had problems checking in on the app and had to talk to someone at the front. He was very helpful but I thought the app should have been easier and it wasn’t. Regardless, everything worked out.

Nancy NI refilled the fuel tank until the pump automatically stopped, and I provided the fuel receipt as evidence. Despite this, I was charged $20 for allegedly returning the vehicle with only 6/7 of the fuel level. This does not make sense, as the fuel was filled to the automatic shut-off point
Wai LI locked the keys in the truck. I dropped the contract off in the after hours lockbox informing them where the keys where. I was called the next morning and told there would be a $100 fee to get the keys. I asked if they had extra keys or a master key and was no just that one key? Who operates a fleet and doesn’t have but 1 key per unit? The charge shows as a cleaning fee on my final bill?

Emile AIf I was just rating the Flying J Southeast location I would have given 5 stars, however I got a total run around from U-Haul. U-Haul called me a day before my booking and asked if I would switch my pickup location to a further away location. I agreed and went to the new location for my 10am pickup. When I got there wasn’t anyone there and the office was closed. After calling the location number I was told that someone would be there in 10 minutes. When the person arrived he told me that the truck I rented was broken and they did not have a replacement at that location. I was told the U-Haul would be calling me to discuss my options. After another 10 minutes I got a text telling me that my new pickup location was now Flying J. U-Haul made my rental much more stressful then it needed to be!
