It was convenient for me but they had the mileage recorded wrong which led to a long drop off straightening it out. Also, of course, you can’t expect a uhaul pick up site to be pristine but if someone would spruce up the parking lot there it would be good.

Overall, U-Haul is great! The only thing I wish this company would change is to add the service of driving a truck for a customer -- just charge a fee for it.

Location is the operative word. Market street in Wilmington is the second worse congested road in the city (behind S. College). Trying to turn left into the parking lot, with on-coming traffic not ceasing. I thought that after 4 minutes waiting for a break in the traffic pattern I would have to chance a collision. 15 foot plus trucks do not have quick starts to make a small turn into a small parking lot.

Location 8550 was great! Detailed and very helpful. People had a great attitude! App on the other hand is sub-par. A mobile app that can only allow returning info from the location parking lot without manual entry means that the customer has to stay in the parking lot to complete. Fix it!

When we arrived to pick up the UHUAL we didn’t not have the appliances we ordered inside the truck and the store closed for lunch and told us to come back. When we waited 30 minutes to get the appliances we ordered the provider told us that they usually didn’t do overnight rentals and to try to have the truck back the next day. When dropping off the UHUAL we were greeted by the same rude employee and he said I thought you were bringing this back earlier. We dropped the UHUAL off when were supposed to but he wanted back on his time. I will NEVER return to that store to use a UHUAL again.

The pick-up location "The Furniture Outlet of Wilmington", was some of the best service I've ever had. He was polite and friendly and helped us find the uhaul truck that we needed. I will say again, SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD!!!!

Every time I've been to this location to pick up a U-Haul, I feel like I'm inconveniencing the people that work there. The store is mostly empty and finding the people that work there can be difficult. They have good hours and that's the only reason I pick up from there. It's ironic because they have a sign that states grouchy people pay extra.

Drop off was easy. Didn't have to fill out the information online, the guy took care of it all. I am not pleased with getting charged for extra miles. We traveled from hubert to wilmington and to be charged 130$ for a uhaul is insane. I thought I would spend 104 because that was the total when I reserved my truck. I paid $113 due to tax and then for another $13 to come out for extra miles. It was unnecessary. I just moved and I only had $20 in my account. Not happy about that. You should not put a limit on miles if people are traveling far !!

Extremely shady business that is obviously profiting off charging people "damage" fees. I returned a truck and was charged in excess of $150 for a "dent" that is not visible nor can be felt, no paint damage, and does not interfere with the operation nor appearance of the truck. I should have known I was being set when he mentioned the truck being "new" and being careful with the doors 6 times over. I return the truck, and I'm charged 160 for door damage- coincidence? The truck next to mine upon return the next morning was riddled with stickers to indicate damage with no damage whatsoever. Uhaul needs to pull their services out of this place.

Please make sure that the mileage charges make sense. I was charge almost another 100 for mileage and never left my city limits. We drive a 9 mile distance from our old residence to our new and made that trip 4 times maxed meaning no more than 36 to 40 miles of usage and was charged for over 80 miles.

I rented a van to move from my house to a new townhome. Not only did I not get the type of van pictured, I got one of the most beat up, dented, and scrapped up Uhaul van I've ever seen in my life. Barely half of the dents and scratches were marked with the "x" stickers, and the guy renting it to me told me it was my job to take pictures of all the other damages?!? That's absolutely ridiculous. I should not have to do HIS JOB FOR HIM. Now that I've returned the van in the exact same condition as it left, Uhaul is charging me for a dent that was already there??? This is nothing more than me being scammed out of my money for using a very dinged up van. The guy was telling me I dented the inside of the van when my mattress was along the was that was dented. There's no way possible that something as soft as my mattress would've dented a metal van. Furthermore, there were wooden guards along the inside of the van. How would my mattress bypass those wooden guards and place a dent in a metal van? Again this is absolutely ridiculous that I'm being charged for damages on a van that was already so very damaged, which also tells me that Uhaul doesn't take the liberty to get their Vans fixed when they are damaged. Is this so you can keep charging other renters more money?? Because you dont use that money to get the van fixed. I feel absolutely cheated out of my money and I will NEVER in my life use Uhaul again and I will strongly advise anyone else to never use uhaul again.
