My overall UHaul experience was terrible. The original location I reserved the truck for didn't have one available and they never contacted me prior to me trying to pick the truck up. I had no car to get to the new uhaul location which was 15 minutes away. I was an hour and a half over schedule by the time I finally got the truck. I had to get a Lyft out of pocket because of this. I rent trucks frequently and because I can't trust a truck will be available when I scheduled it a week prior, Uhaul will be on the last of my list.Shaun L.

It was 2 screws in truck and they changed a $27 cleaning fee . I thought this was excessive and bad Business ! I will not return ever this is how you make your money I won't nothing to do with your company again and I Advise not to use them again!Christopher B.

I am currently disputing the charges. The guy that rented it to me had the odometer turned off. The only reading for me to see was the gas to mile screen. He is charging me for 125 miles!Maurice T.
My location was changed even though the website said the vehicle was available. My pick up time was 9 am but the location did not open until 10. I was on the phone for 45 minutes getting checked in to obtain a key in the lock box system. Gentlemen took my key when I return and did not let me put in the lock box. I was not sure he was an applicable rep since he had no clothing to denote that he work at the company.TIM R.

I called Genesis Auto Sales to rent a U-Haul truck that I needed asap. I spoke to a nice young man named Damonte. He understood my situation and was able to accommodate all my needs in an efficient and timely manner. He also mapped out my mileage and estimated my costs for me, which was on point. The only place in Cincinnati where I used my debit card before it was jacked was this drop off location. Then the card number was used at a beauty supply shop. So someone here stole my card number. Nice. Sorry it took so long to reply. Just cleaning out my email...James D.

The lady that helped us was very nice. However the truck cab was very dirty. There was a huge sticky puddle of something in the passenger floor , there was white residue in the cup holders, additional white residue in the tray behind the cup holders, it did not look like it had been vacuumed,and the seatbelt stunk of body odor and cigarrette smoke from the previous person which was extremely hard to have to smell for my entire trip. When the truck was pulled up for me, the air was already blowing in the truck. When I left the pick up site, I realized that the truck was not cooling off so I called back to tell them that I couldn't get it to cool. She said to bring it back. When I got there someone went out and showed me that I just needed to switch to the snowflake sign on the knob for A/C so that was my fault that I didn't check out the knobs that I assumed were set correctly by the people when they pulled it up. However as I was driving back to get the air conditioner checked, she started trying to find me a new truck so evidently that canceled my original contract. When I left with the same truck that I started with and then tried to drop it off in Athens after cleaning up all the mess inside from the previous person, I found out that they had no contract on me. It it took the man in Athens drop off spot 45 minutes and talking with 6 different u-haul people to get my contract finally done and my vehicle turned in. This was a huge waste of time for me on a day that we were pressed for time with move in stuff and didn't have that extra time to be taking care of contract issues. Where to park the truck was a little confusing. First I parked on one side of the building, then saw a sign to park on the other side. When I dropped it off, one of the employees outside loading tires into some other trucks told me to just leave it and they'd take care of it. But then for two days I got emails and calls telling me I hadn't returned the truck. It eventually got sorted out, but they didn't "take care of it" in a timely way.Keith R.

It was a junkyard next to a barbed wire fence and a dog barking on the other side. Also this was the second location I had to drive to because the first location never had the truck delivered. THEN I had to drive to a regional facility to pick up the appliance dolly I requested. Bad service and bad location. Fortunately, Uhaul did comp some of the price of the truck and the phone reps were nice, but the locations and situation still sucked.Bradley C.

I booked online so we could pick up what we needed conveniently. But, the dealer did not have a truck and we were referred to one farther away. They were great, but it didn't make sense to pick a dealer of choice in advance and then have no truck available. Couldn't they just transfer the truck to the requested dealer given that the reservation was made a week in advanceRobert B.

This is the Second U-Haul Location which did NOT SCREW DOWN THE HITCH for the Auto-Hauler. This happened in Kansas when I picked one up to move to Cincinnati. Luckily the Auto-Hauler stayed on my RV/Motorhome while driving to get my Car. But This time and Last Time as soon as I tried to Load the Car the Trailer POPPED OFF my Hitch. I could see that the Screw Down Handle was NOT SCREWED DOWN AT ALL. It could not have unscrewed itself all the way in less than 10 miles in either case.Larry P.

The truck was given to me at 1/4 tank of fuel. I know i must pay for the fuel i use, before or after my rental. I had to alter my plans to include a pre-trasit fuel up. This didn't cause me a problem, but it may cause future customers an inconvenience that would cause them not to return.Thomas W.

I examined the trailer the week before we picked it up. one of the chains was damaged and only held together by a pad lock that was not even locked. The trailer had 2 holes in the top that were patched. We brought this to Tristate's attention before we picked up the trailer. U-HAUL was notified. The chain was replaced and we were told the patches were good. One of the patches leaked in the rain on the way up. We had to create a makeshift patch using a plastic bag and duct tape in the middle of the night after driving 9 hours to our destination. Several of the boxes got wet and had to be moved. Overall I am disappointed that U-HAUL would have rented this damaged equipment. Crystal at Tristate was very friendly and helpful.JOEL P.

The adapter for my vehicle was not included with the trailer i ordered. I had to drive to a firestone near by and buy the right adapter so the lights on the trailer would work. It was unsafe and unprofessional. Also they didnt give me a furniture dolly and still charged me for it.ROBERT L.

They need to be more clear when telling someone what is needed to come pick for pick up. Be more prompt with check-in. Don't call customer asking for their whereabouts when they are coming in to pay--that's rude.becky P.
