My UHaul location was not the original location of my scheduled pickup. Also, I got little assistance from the UHaul roadside and had to jump through a variety of hoops to handle an issue related to a misplaced key. I also had several additional charges added to my account that were never fully explained to me.Jauwan H.
Do not let this location rent out vehicles. First, the "representative" want there at the time I was to pick up my truck, so I had to wait twenty minutes for him to show up. The truck cab reeked of marijuana. The rep was using the back of the truck for personal storage, so I had to wait for him to clean it out. Overall, it was a poor experience.Jason B.

Truck was in bad disrepair, needed alignment, was swaying side to side, hesitating and driving poorly. Would not recommend this truck rental and deserve refund for experience of driving a damaged vehicle. Glad I had insurance because this truck was a hazard to drive.Barbara G.

Though the location is in a barber shop (and a good one at that), the service was great. The gentleman that handle the rental was friendly, as well as very competent in getting the rental underway. Just a tip, do the pre-checkin so you don't have to expose your private information.LILIA H.

Upon arriving to pick up the uhaul, I had to wait for the representative to come to the location. The representative never showed up, but called instead & spoke with me over the phone. I requested an appliance dolly online & blankets/covers. However, this location did not have neither items available for use. So, I was given someone's personal dolly, that had been painted brown. When I got to my destination to try to move my belongings. The dolly started to sweat/bleed brown paint due to the heat/humidity. So in the end I never used the dolly, because it was not safe to use it (it kept slipping out of my hand)!! This location has poor customer service skills & is an unclean establishment. I would not recommend this location to anyone period! I asked for a discount for the trouble I went through to get the trunk & for how inconvenient & inconsiderate this location was for not being properly equipped with the necessary equipment listed online. The gas in the truck wasn't even a half a tank when I picked up the truck. Upon returning the truck, there was more fuel put in then it was when I picked it up. This was a horrific experience & because of that, I am an unsatisfied customer...tierra G.

I was sent there for a truck, pads and a car dolly. They didn't have any of those things. Instead this guy was too busy cutting hair and selling drugs out of his barber shop. I had to sit there for 2 hours and call uhaul myself to get the situation semi figured out. It took me almost half a day to get to the uhaul, get everything I need from other uhauls and then get home. From start to finish this was the worst experience I've ever had with a company.robert B.

This location was 30min south of what I originally scheduled and in the heart of south side chicago. I did NOT feel safe whatsoever and there was nothing uhaul did to try and accommodate me. The doors were barred and locked and it was extremely unprofessional. No run down of the truck, no paperwork. Overall HORRIBLE and scary experience. I have also called to complain and haven't heard back from uhaul. I will not be using your services again.Natalie R.
The (physical) location was not as nice as some of the other locations I've been to, however, the agent was friendly and responsive. My negative experience had less to do with the location and more to do with u-haul's failure to ensure the location was able to service my reservation. I reserved 24 furniture pads, but the location did not have them when I arrived. I called the U-Haul customer service center to find a nearby location that could provide the furniture pads. Customer service sent me to the U-Haul Pershing Road location, however, when I arrived reps said that U-Haul had not transferred the furniture pad reservation to them and that they could only give me 12 pads. I spent half hour on the phone with U-Haul trying to find a solution before reps at the Pershing road location let me rent the full number of furniture pads. Later in the day, I went back to the original location to pick up the auto transporter. The location ended up not having the cord that hooks the auto transporter to the truck to work the lights. The found a cord at another location and went to pick it up, which went seamlessly, but added another half hour to a day already plagued by u-haul delays. A rep who manages their twitter account filed a Customer Action Complaint for me on Thursday. U-haul has yet to reply. ***If you have any issues, tweet at U-Haul. They respond much more quickly over twitter than they do over the phone.***Ashlie T.

Since the pickup location is a business within a business I think maybe U-haul could do more of the paperwork on their end so that all you have to do is show your driver's license and get your key and go. There was a system issue which didn't allow my process to go smoothly, but what can you do. Overall the agent (I didn't catch his name) was very nice,Janaire G.

Georges Barbershop was perfectly fine and very fast and professional but Uhaul on 71st cornell has by far thee worst customer service i have ever experienced. My truck rental that was shceduled in advance was not on time causing me to fall behind on my time to move. Then to make matters worse i was given false information about when a truck would be available and finally after 2 hours of sitting inside the uhaul store (71st cornell) i gave in and had to waste even more gas to drive to a different location using more of my personal gas as well as causing me to have to drive further and use more miles on the uhaul rental. I called customer service and spoke with a woman whom said her name was Jessica who was very rude and very unprofessional. She did not give me any type of information on what can be done as well as hung up on me after i had 3 seperate encounters with her over the phone. This is by far the worse customer service i have ever recieved in my life and i've used uhaul's rental services before but this will absolutely be the last time i ever do business with uhaul or any other of uhauls representatives. If i were to rate uhauls' customer service in the store as well as over the phone between 1-10 (1 being the lowest) i would give it a 0. I am very displeased with what i endured today.Keith S.
U haul told me this location opened at 8 which it didn't, I was supposed to pick my truck up from 78th and exchange and they switched me to 1220 69th location and they was supposed to give me a discount for. 89 cent a mile for coming out of my way and they didn'tkurt R.
