I had an issue with one of the trucks, but i was taken care of well, with some effort on my part. The reason why i still rank this location above avarage is because of the service provided when the breakdown occurred and for the large discout i was given for my inconvenience.

When I arrived from Calgary to pick up truck and trailer, the guy was waiting for me so I can help him load the trailer on the truck!! I have to pay in full AND help the staff do their jobs? Then the trailer was parked in a very tight spot it took us half an hour to take it out outside in the cold. I then realized that one of the straps was not in a good condition to strap down a vehicle that i wanted to tow to Calgary, it had a cut in it. it just wasn’t safe enough for me to use. I realize this after the uhaul agent closed so I had to go back to Calgary without the vehicle I wanted to buy. It was just a terrible experience. Gas alone cost me a 120. Never will I ever use uhaul.

The cabin of the truck was absolutely filthy. I felt like I needed to shower after driving it. The low rating for the location is because there is no signage on the building for U-Haul other than a small piece of paper taped to one of the exterior doors. The U-Haul rep was nice.

The tires on the truck were terrible. It had snowed the night before and the truck had very poor traction. I was sliding on regular roads. I was unable to make it up a very small incline driveway without taking a long run up to build speed. I got stuck in a small amount of snow while trying to turn around. Your trucks should really have tires appropriate to Alberta winters during times of the year when snow is a possibility.

Very unimpressed! Had a storage rental at 218st west end. The gentleman there was super helpful and i would recommend THAT place,not this one! Am very annoyed after driving 11hrs,packing and unpacking that uhaul DEMENDED that i deliver the trailer to the other side of the bloody city. I live west side so i had to drive there AND back after. Very pissed off actually! My business is hotshot delivery so i SHOULD have written up a bill for delivery and left it with the oh so unhelpful man at your "GSKSC Group Inc" i would like to request a call back from someone who can reimburse me for my travels. I also dropped the trailer off a day or two ahead of time allowing more then enough for a uhaul employee to move the uhaul to another location. Yes i was told someone was in line to pick it up BUT I WAS DAYS EARLY SO THAT SHOULDNT OF MATTERED. was pleased with overall experience but have a real bad taste in my mouth after being your "free" delivery boy??. If i dont get a call from someone about this issue i will absolutely add my comment about the delivery issue to every uhaul review in edmonton that i can possibly find.

Booked for pick up at 9am..waited for 1.5 hrs before we got our rental. Had to pay additional charges to our move in monitor as this screwed up our moving schedule.

Originally booked a trailer for pick up at a much closer location for me. Was notified the day before they no longer had a trailer for me but sent me to this alternate location. Was in a bind and needed the trailer. Had to now drive 45 minutes to pick it up, and another to return. Not all the lights worked and the electrical plug was corroded. Overall a poor experience with uhaul in general. Would not be recommending to anyone I know.

This location is terrible, the owner is a cheater, he gave us a 15 feet truck with 1/4 gas, we used it for delivery some beer, just 2 hours from taking the car to return the car, total we drove around 50 kms, we did refilled the gas to 1/4 before return the car and we kept the gas received, second day I found my credit card was charged $63.73, called him and he said he refilled the gas for us and billed to my credit card, how can he do that? I will report this issue to police and my credit card company. It is a big cheating!

The truck came with 1/4 tank of gas to start when I had a longer trip to make. Therefore I had to fill it up more than I would have needed too just to make sure I could get to my new place. So I spent more money then I needed too.

Everything was great, the person who I dealt with was good but only the one thing he did wrong is he didn't ask me for the coverage which I never wanted if it's optional. I was over my work related call so didn't notice that he charged me $15 but still it was his job to offer me the coverage not just to add on his own.

There broken mirror shards in the box, and the cab was covered in dog hair. Check-in took 40 minutes even after doing the online check in the morning of. I was surprised we had to pay for kilometres upfront. I definitely over-estimated the driving and therefore overpaid.

The online booking system was terrible. On the website I booked a truck to be picked up at the Parsons Road location at 9-10am Saturday, and when the confirmation email arrived the next morning it said I had been booked for 4:30pm-5:30pm. What? So I called up the number and said I needed the truck for 9am, the guy made the change to the times and I hung up. But then another confirmation email arrived saying I was now booked in at 9am Saturday for EIGHT HOURS, which is clearly also not right as I only needed it for 1 hour, to pick up a single table. So I called back AGAIN and said I only needed the truck for 1 hour. Again, the guy apologized and said he fixed it. But I never got another confirmation email. When I went to pick up the truck this morning I realized that without it being called out clearly, my pick up location had been changed to 34A avenue instead of Parson's Road which I had requested - looks like the website did this in addition to screwing up my times. So I had to drive out of my way to an inconvenient location with very poor signage to pick up the truck, then when I got it the guy said my fuel was at half full but when I actually started up the truck it was clearly less than half a tank. I ended up putting in $5 gas before returning it just to avoid arguments, which only brought it up to the half tank that it should have been at initially -- I only drove it 16km, I definitely didn't use nearly that much gas. Overall, terrible experience, the website booking screwing up both my time and pickup location was very annoying, and I will probably not use U-haul again.

Your website shows many pickup locations but it took me 5 or 6 different phone calls before I finally got the booking line. One location tole me they are no longer a U-haul outlet! The booking agent knew nothing about our city of Edmonton and told me there were only 2 pickup locations in our city. After we finally found it and found the location it worked very well.

There needs to be a large sign indicating where the office is. Only has a small 8 1/2” x 11” paper on a door. Hard for us older people to see from our vehicle. Lol

We had set it for the self pickup. However, we couldn’t do this as the number on our reservation didn’t match the actual van that was there for us. The employee inside helped us out so it was fine. The van had garbage left in it, reeked of cigarettes, and had some signs of cigarette ash on the ceiling.

Rental was promised for 4:30 PM; received truck at 6:00 PM. This was a very long distance travel without cruise control. Wipers needed replaced and truck had an exhaust leak without sound insulation in the cab. We had a language barrier. Did speak English with heavy accent making communication difficult.

The office is not in the best location for customers to find but the overall experience was great. The owner/operator has great customer service and he represents U-haul very well. I would definitely go back to him for another rental. For me It’s not about the office and how it looks, it’s about customer service and this person has it.

The UHaul I rented had a dead battery. It was started by the office person and came with a booster box but I had to hook it up to charger at home to keep it running.I think that there should be a better maintenance program in place.

I had ordered and prepaid via your online service. I needed a pick up time of 4pm, therefore I picked a “preferred” location that closed late enough. Instead, I had to pick up from another location (which is fine ... I understand how that can be necessary) but that location’s hours closed at 2pm. There was no way I could drop the truck off before 4pm the next day, which puts me in a position of having to pay for another day’s rental. (Fortunately the drop off location did not bill me the extra day.) HOWEVER .... my biggest concern is that, despite my ordering and prepaying online, the gentleman at this location billed me an additional $8.10 WITHOUT telling me so and without giving me a receipt. The only way I knew about the charge is that my credit card conpany sent me verification of the approved payment. Otherwise, I would not likely have known about this charge. I would like to know what the charge was for and why it was such a secret.

The truck was clean and well maintained but the gas tank was only a quarter full. This presents a problem when returning. Was forced to estimate the gas to return to same level. As a result it cost me more for gas than should have (12 litres to go 27kms).
