The woman working on Friday when we picked up the truck put in a note that we could drop off by 11:45pm on Sunday and not get charged extra but we did anyway. Also our drop of location was changed after we picked up our truck.

The location was nice (new) and the staff was friendly. I did, however, have an issue but do not think it was the result of the staff at this location. I reserved a truck, two furniture dollies, and 12 furniture blankets. Upon arrival, the truck was available but the dollies and blankets were not. They did have one dolly but would not rent it to us as we were going from AL to FL. It was for local moves only. This meant we had to drive around the Madison/Huntsville area to find/purchase dollies for this move. Since we flew in from FL and took an Uber to the U-Haul location, the truck was our only mode of transportation. This complicated things and delayed the start of our loading/travel by two hours. Since the blankets were not available, we had to use other things to cover/pad the furniture. No one notified us in advance of the missing equipment so we had to make adjustments upon our arrival. I've rented from U-Haul a number of times and never had this type of complication. I hope that should I rent equipment again, I avoid a repeat of this situation.

The smell of either cheap perfume or air freshener was terrible. It gave me an allergic reaction. I nearly lost the ability to drive due to vertigo from that scent

The uhaul app would not work on new Samsung phone for truck return. The wait time for initial approval on the app was about 15 minutes, need to be more responsive to customers on a busy move day.

No issues, but the truck struggled on the hills and there were leaks of some type of fluid that stained my driveway. The staff was absolutely amazing!

The inside wasn’t “too” dirty, but it could have been wiped down after the last use. The dash was pretty dusty.

We needed a short term storage facility and this was the perfect solution, from our interaction over the phone to our contract signing in the office, everyone was professional and prompt. Highly recommend this facility, clean, good lighting as I often was at the facility in the evenings.

My storage was broken into and I never received information as to who it was! They literally destroyed my storage and I truly believe it was someone who previously worked there because how else would the person get in the gate! I was originally told it was only my storage, the officer who came to do the report stated he was told it was more than 1 storage! They didn’t tailgate behind anyone to get on from what the cameras showed them! Just disappointed about that process overall 😢

I would not recommend the W Meghan location in Gadsden, AL to anyone! The Madison location was perfect, friendly and very clean. The employees were incredibly helpful.

I very much liked everything about the facility except the location. It was about a half hour through heavy traffic to my house. I found a new covered secure facility for my RV closer to my location.

Truck was dirty. Moving accessories that were ordered were not provided. Called customer service and was not helpful. Had to drive to separate U-Haul vendor to get accessories

Truck had considerable amount of damage on exterior that was not properly documented prior to pick-up. Uploaded a number of photos during check in. Transmission has some serious issues as it would not shift properly and would hang up in a lower gear that what it should be during braking. Air conditioner was intermittent in its operation and radio would not work properly. This truck need some serious work before being rented again. No issues with the staff at the location. They were friendly during return process and were informed of the issues I had with the truck. Very helpful.

I highly recommend Gutherie's storage-72. Best rates around the area. I rented A storage unit, A car hauler and A car dollie, All at the best rates I found. I mostly dealt with Tiffany and she was great everytime.

The only complaint I have is I was charged a gas fee at return when I put gas in before I returned. The website was acting funny during the pre check in the day before. Otherwise, it was a good experience and would definitely use again.

There were 4 new trucks and we got the one that was very old and difficult to use. The online process was difficult. I tried to find out how much the extension was going to be multiple times and couldn’t get the information, so it was way more than expected.

Showroom Detailing on At 647 Nance Road, Huntsville, Alabama is the location I originally reserved the trailer from. However I show up at 9am 11/12 to pick up the trailer and no one was there. Showroom Detailing has no business renting U-Haul equipment, if that’s how they are going to run it. Thankfully Guthrie’s Self Storage had a trailer available and was able to save the day. Guthrie’s employees were very friendly and provided great assistance.

Needed to downsize to a smaller unit and we had to change to a different location and vendor as this location would not price match. We are saving $35 a month to be at a different location but it would have been more convenient to stay with Guthrie’s

I have used climate controlled and non-climate controlled units at Guthrie’s and highly recommend them to anyone with storage needs. Facility is clean and well maintained, and the staff is exceptional.

The staff working here were SO great. They were so friendly, so helpful, and personable. They made the whole move-in, and move-out processes super smooth & easy. I didn't have any questions cause they were thorough. But i really liked how nice they were. I went in there in pajamas, frazzled and frustrated from moving and everything. I know i looked and acted crazy. They didnt look at me like i was crazy or treat me any differently. The place i was at before this one did, so it just made me feel good to be treated better. Thanks for all your help ladies. Yall rock. I will definitely use this facility again when i need to.

I’ve used a lot of storage facilities over the years for various reasons, and Guthries is by far the best! Friendly staff, great facilities, excellent rates and they really really do make the move in and move out process super easy. They’re so accommodating and if I ever need a storage facility again - it will be Guthries.
