Very bad experience! I will never use this location and would caution others from using it as well! Stick with the Main UHaul and not the little variety stores. This place tried to over charge, was rude and had horrible customer service!martha F.

I was charged for fuel and the amount on the final bill is incorrect. He stated starting was between 3/4 and 7/8, and thats where I left it.. The final bill shows there was only 3/4 full. Not alot of money but very dishonest. Also called me at 5:30 looking for truck when I returned it at 3:26. I was also given a 10' truck instead of 15' and wasa told by nash rd. person that I would receive a $50 credit.Michael A.

When I arrived, he let me know ow he shouldn't of accepted my return because they are only a convenience store. I explained he is a uhaul location, and he had attitude. I was promised by a Uhaul representative on the phone that I would have a 50km discount when I brought the uhaul back (because I booked my truck at 1 location, and they called me last minute the evening before to advise I now have to travel an hour out of my way for the 10" truck I booked a month ago!!). I never got my discount Also; I was charged 3 days for having the truck when we only had it from 9:30am to 4:30pm on August 26th. The man at thestore told me there is no price difference. I thought it's $19.99 per day??? I was overcharged, and need money back. Almost $500 I was charged for 7 hours!?!?Kayla Q.

I actually waited to respond to this review, in the hopes that we can rectify our issue. My husband picked up on the moving truck from HASTY MARKET, in Hamilton, Ontario. The person issuing the truck to us, was on the phone getting instructions, therefore this process was long and the instructions were not clear. There was no mention of the gas. The truck was delivered to us on empty, there was not 1/4 tank. My husband went to the nearest gas station to put in gas. We delivered the truck back with an 1/8th of a tank. They charged us the $30,00 penalty charge and the additional gas. The estimated cost was $110 but I was charged $212. After receiving my bill, I took the liberty of calling Joe Butler, and left a msg but sadly did not get a response. Hence why I have left this review. I will not use U-Haul again or refer their business to any clients or family or friends.Edwin P.

I would not rent from uhaul again to rent a vehicle with proper ID n major crest card is sufficient but u need e-mail n there r people out there that don't have e-mail or sufisticated phones it was very in easy so thank u I got my job done but will not recommend uhaul at alldavid H.

Not double book a rental, I had booked the van until 2pm online and when I got my confirmation it said 11am. When I get to pick up the van they said it was not a mistake that someone booked at 11am. This is unacceptable.Scott W.

The attendant was courteous and it's clear Uhaul has a great set up. The van itself was clearly used as a work van or contractor van for the person before us. At the end of the day though, it served the purpose And the value of the service is great.nicola N.

Truck was dirty at time of pickup and had to get the U-Haul guy to clean it...not happy at all with this location... the guy seemed shady and had to pay cash because he said his machine for the rental was not working yet his regular debit machine was working...will never rent from this location again... already spoke with customer service about this location...and might not rent from U-Haul ever again because it was a nightmare from the beginningkyle W.

The truck arrived to us with less than a 1/4 of gas.. the tank should be at minimum half full. It is a real inconvenience to get gas as soon as you get the truck.. very unprofessional and unimpressedDakota G.
Very bad experience no invoice emailed to me the problem was he never put my email incorrectly every tho it was already in the system from last time and read it aloud to me and refused to give me a paper copy when I ask for one took cash and over charged me and would not refund me the remaining balance or give me a receipt , had to call customer service and was talking to a very good representative I would not recommend going to that location because he just acted like I was invisible when I asked for a receipt, very poor service and the truck was pretty much empty when I got in itCHRISTIANABRAHAM F.
The vehicle stunk of cigarette smoke and got worse when I used the heater. So I couldn't have the heat on for my move. I then had a sore throat the rest of the day because of my sensitivity to cigarettes. I told the employee of this problem when I returned the van and he said he would "tell the boss". The store we booked at on Monday at 9am didn't have our truck ready. They said to wait and come back at 10 or theyd call us when it arrived, which really sucked as we had paid movers there already (so there was $60 gone), well we got no call or answer when we tried to call, so at 1030 we drove by (has anyone seen today's gas prices? So glad we had to drive around for this! 🙄) and still no truck there. We continued to the Nash and Barton Uhaul spot where they told me they couldn't take my license because it was expired. Guess these guys don't know that all licenses that are "expired" actually aren't because Service Ontario has extended expiry until Dec 31st 2022 due to covid. So all this work and hired movers and wasted gas was all for nothing because apparently Uhaul does not follow provincial policies. I know they are the only ones as we had rented a car just a week before with no issues!! The kid at the nash/barton location was extremely rude and condescending. Pretty sure he wasn't even old enough to drive, himself. So we had to cancel everything and go hire someone to now drive the truck (more money wasted). At this point it was now 1130am and we didn't have enough time to move before we picked up our kids from school so had to set until the next day, losing out on our prorated last month's rent for the day ($40) We returned the following day to the hasty market as we did not want to have to deal with the rude kid at Nash, and picked up our truck to finally do our move. So no, not the best experience. A ton of gas wasted, time wasted and a hella lot of money wasted on the fact that not only the truck wasn't there to begin with but apparently they never got Service Ontario's memo that they don't want us updating our licenses at this time so legally my license was NOT expired!!! Never again! Despite the hasty market guy not calling us to tell us the truck wasn't coming on the first day, he was pleasant otherwise. It's Uhaul themselves that were pissed with! So much wasted money and time. We agreed that Budget will be our go-to next time! Screw that!!james P.

Upon arrival, I was advised that the interac machine was not working and that I had to pay cash. I was not prepared to pay cash but fortunately, I did have enough to cover the deposit of $150. There was no inspection of the vehicle at pickup. So I took it at face value that the gas tank was filled up slightly past the 1/2 way mark. I returned the vehicle with the gas tank filled up slightly past the 1/2 way mark only to be told that I was short on gas. I was charged $10 extra just for 1/8 of the gas and I think that this was because my deposit was $150 and the cost of the rental came up to slightly under. The attendant was friendly but I felt scammed unlike my previous experiences with Uhaul.hemwattie E.

The truck obviously had something wrong with it, probably hadn't been serviced in a while. Spent $120 on gas from hamilton to London and back which doesn't make sense. I used this same truck when moving from Brampton to Hamilton which is a similar distance and I paid nowhere near that amount. Very good overall experience, the gentleman at the counter was very helpful and he helped make the rental process easy. I was a little unsure of using the link to take a pic of my driver's license but he helped. Making the reservation process was also very easy. I needed to make a slight adjustment to my pick up time and the person on the phone was able help accomadate me.DIANE B.

The vehicle was dirty, the seats had good crumbs on them and spills in the cup holders. The dash had a layer of dirt and grime on it as well. The outside of the vehicle was dirty ( all pictures submitted on 24/7 App. No drop box for key so left it with the cashier at Hadty Market. Vehicles should be inspected and cleaned before being offered for rent. Worst rental experience I've had.MARIO C.

The vehicle was philthy, no window washer fluid, I had to stop at a gas station to wash inside & outside of windshield so I could see properly. It smelled like a wet dog in the cab. Truck was covered in mud on the inside. I had to wash out the trunk as I was moving furniture which still picked up some of the dirt that was left in there. Check in via phone took over 20 minutes, required FOUR different phone numbers, cargo van was parallel parked super tightly between a pole and another truck (impossible to repark ), mileage was wrong when we left but we couldn't submit the correct mileage (site wouldn't allow), the mileage issue was further a problem upon return since we were returning with lower mileage than when we left according to the recorded number. Van was also smelly, dusty, had small bits of trash.Peppino A.

Every time I rented a UHaul this year they counted my kilometers as miles, which wrongly brought my price up. It's seems an automatic thing they do to overcharge you. You think that they could have figured it out by now...SANTOS M.

Cargo space wasn't swept l and inside dash was dirty/coffee stained. I realized after searching through my emails that nothing provided contained info on the fuel gauge and how to self fill, so I had to guess. I only found info referencing the contract on how to gauge how much to fill but after looking through the contract, I don't believe it was clearly stated at all - more than likely because it's profitable to charge customers a premium on gas.William R.

This was an absolutely terrible rental experience. The clerk at the store attempted to charge my father in law an additional $250 for no reason whatsoever and was extremely rude to him. Also the dolly we rented was not with the truck so I will request a refund based on this.Grant Z.
