Originally the drop-off was 290 Edwards St Cleveland, TN. Drove to the location and decided to find another due to the location and the crappy shed for an office. This location is a disgrace for a company like U-Haul.STEVEN F.

The location not clearly marked nor easily identifiable as a uhaul location. The staff are not good at communicating and are not friendly. The trucks were extremely dirty in the cab and smelled horribly of smoke.John C.

Inside of truck was swept out but not clean. Homeless man and his dog used the truck to sleep. The truck has urine inside and not swept out. The man also had put a smear of feces around the passenger door. Not sure if it was his or the dog. There were 2 piles of feces on both sides of the truck. I also had to spray for roaches found in the truck. The person in charge of the rental was notified but did nothing. Her comments is we have had problems with the homeless. This was very disappointing as I expected much better from a U-Haul rental. I was also promised a 10% discount and furniture pads at $10 a dozen. She said I would have to go through U-Hal to get the discount and $10 per dozen pads. I had no choice but to take it as I had people waiting to load my furniture. I do expect a call for adjustments on the charges from U-Haul.Jim Y.
On Wednesday I went online reserved our truck for Saturday. On Friday about 5:30-6pm I got a call saying there were NO trucks available in our town or the next town over! She did offer me a truck at a different location for Sunday at 9am. I rearranged everything for Sunday pick up. Today (Sunday) we went to get the truck and no one showed up to give us the truck! I called uhaul again! She said there was a truck available at our original pick up and she put us down for it. I should have never been allowed to reserve a truck that wasn't available to start. This was very unprofessional! I've used uhaul before and been very satisfied.Johnny G.

I have been sent 2 emails saying I owe money and when I returned the uhaul the man at the counter said I owed 400$ when I stated there's no way because I paid 200 when i got the uhual his response was do you have paperwork. Was ran out of a gas station. When I arrived there was a homeless population hanging out outside. When I went inside I had to wait for the attendant to go back and forth between myself doing uhaul and the gas station patrons. There was no vehicle inspection conducted by the attendee due to her being the only emoyee. There was trash and socks inside the back of one truck and inside the cab. The other truck also had trash inside cab and wasn't clean. I was also overcharged and haven't received any money back. The amount was supposed to be $115 plus taxes and insurance which equated to over $200. Then I was charged $12 for "mileage" on top of the amount already paid. The attendee said I wouldn't be charged for a hand truck because she didn't know if there was any in the trucks. This was the worst ubaul facility I have been to. Although the attendee was nice, she was not able to be efficient.Justin C.

Charged my credit card for mileage and gas even though we put gas in it when we got there and they checked it in than Later after we left we get emailed saying we were charged $32 for gas. Had to go back several times for them to check the uhaul in due To not having actual paper work only had it on email. I work in customer Service and this is not how I would treat someone.Bailey M.

I've had 2 knee reconstructions and when I got the truck to the garage to load it didn't have a ramp. Spent 2 1/2 hours on phone and by the time I was approved to change I didn't have time to go back and get the other truck.Aaron R.

U-haul online check in took half an hour to work, and then I still had to go into the store, whose internet was down. What's the point? And for the truck return, the website told me to use the key dropbox, but there wasn't one. I had to go back in the store and complete check in the old way.Brian F.

The truck was dirty and in bad shape when received. There were scratches, dents, stains, and a 3/4 tank of gas. We were very unhappy with location because there were people laying behind the building very obviously on something, homeless people sitting on the uhauls, and people trying to trick the cashier into selling them cigarettes under age. It was a very bad experience to say the least. When we got there, they didn't even have the truck we reserved and we did not get the $50 reservation guarantee refund... It was a fight to get the same price on the one up than the one we got and they were asking us to drive an extra hour to a different location and spend more mileage, then to just give us the next size up from the one we reserved.Corbin P.

It's a convenience store/gas station so there is a lot of traffic. It was one guy working the store so was multitasking. I got friendly service and I appreciated the pleasant conversation with the gentleman attending me. I only wish I could have gotten exclusive service, but I understand the gentleman was in charge of the whole gas station by himself. Thank you U-Haul for great rates and making my move possible. This is a convenience store which is clearly the priority. UHaul is poorly staffed and the lady said that she can not leave the store because the UHaul rentals were a convenience for the customer. Had issues hooking up the trailer and the lights didn't work Either. Employee did not care about the trash that was in the trailer and handed me a trash bag. She blamed it on homeless people living in it. I was totally inexperienced in hooking up a trailer and need the assistance of another customer to get help. Avoid this place!Joseph W.

When I went to pick up the 10 ft truck on Dalton Pike I was told the truck could not be rented - stuck in a ditch. Had to go to another location, Inman St., and get a 15 ft truck. No one advised me that the 10 ft truck couldn't be rented. The people at U-Haul 800 number are very disconnected and impersonal. I was not happy with the total experience.Jane H.

This location was beyond horrible with no real customer service!! It is part of a gas station/convenience store and the clerk kept walking away from me to help other customers. After a good 30 minutes she handed me my receipt and told me to go find my trailer. I asked where I would find it and she said 'in front, out back, I don't know'. I asked if there was someone who could assist me if I needed help hooking up and she said 'No. We are just a gas station'. I thought they were also a Uhaul facility?? So we find the trailer behind the building and lift it to connect to my tow hitch, and while we are connecting, a homeless man is removing all of his things from the trailer, where he had been staying. I felt bad evicting him, but he was gracious and even assisted us with our hookup. Then we realized there was no connector to hook up electrical. I pulled around to the front and went in to ask for one and the same clerk told me I would have to unhook and go buy one at an auto parts store. I asked if it wasn't supposed to be included with the rental and she said it was too bad, but they don't have any. So I unhooked in front of her gas station and left to go buy the electrical connector. When I returned to hook up again to the trailer, the evicted tenant came over to make sure I got it all hooked up correctly and to make sure my lights were working. This homeless man was the best service I had there, and yet he refused the tip I offered him. This location is otherwise horrible and clearly they don't care at all about their Uhaul customers. I will never recommend them, and honestly I would suggest Uhaul remove their association with this facility.Sara M.
