There's no lights in the parking lot so picking up a truck in the dark is very difficult. the lock I was told to use was not working properly and I had to mess with it in 25° weather for at least 20 minutes.

The headlights barely emitted another light to drive in town at night, no way would I take it onto the interstate. The windshield was cracked all the way across the top. The check engine light was on! The gear selector in the dash did not match what gear you were actually in. The pickup location was dark and at night didn't seem like a safe place. I intended to rent from a location in Chesterfield because that is close to my home. Your company instead sent me to the Lansing in Anderson on Main Street. I had to go there to log onto the app to get the vehicle, the next step told me to drive to where I wanted to rent from in Chesterfield. On my way there I get a call from uhaul out of Indianapolis setting off I have gotten my rental truck. I replied no that I am on my way to the second location. I am them told how wrong I am by your company, regardless of what the app told me. The entire conversation I was talked over and interrupted by your caller from Indianapolis. Check your recordings, it's all there! Never again!

The facility was closed so I used the mobile pick up. However, my ordered included moving blankets and those were not in the truck ready for me. So I had to call customer service and arrange to pickup blankets at another location which was inconvenient.

The renter was very kind and accommodating but the trailer that had been returned for us to rent had no taillights, at no fault of the vendor.. Understandably, we were downgraded to a smaller trailer. We just feel the rental price should have reflected the smaller trailer vs the slightly higher price of the larger one. Thank you!

First make sure the truck is cleaned or at least wiped down. The truck I rented was filthy on the inside. I had to place a plastic tarp on the seats just to sit on them. Second, take the big "Rent Me Sign" out of the window before you rent the truck. I have never rented any uhaul truck from anywhere that I had to take it out myself and put it in the back of the truck. Third, have your employees knowledgable about options. I am a penny pincher. So I am always looking for ways to safe some money. I expressed to your sales representative that I only needed to the truck truck for a couple of hours, but I put reserved it for 10 hours. The representative said "ok, if you keep it for 10 hours, we will be closed and you can return it by dropping the key through the hole in the door." Then she talked about insurance and had me initial and sign. What she should of said was "if you keep it for 10 hours, we will be closed and you can return it by dropping the key through the hole in the door, but there is a $20 after hours fee. Maybe it is just a location thing wether they charge you or not, but I never knew there was a fee for after hour drop off because I have never received one in the past (from other locations). The few times I have used your trucks in the past, I have always dropped them off when the location was closed and never received a fee before. All together this was a horrible experience renting a uhaul from this location. The $20 after hours return fee was just like a slap in the face after settling and looking past the deplorable condition the truck I rented was in. One would ask, why didn't I just ask for another truck? The answer to that is, that was the only one they had in the size I needed. Bottom line, it is worth the extra money in mileage to just go to a different location and rent a uhaul.

The girl and guy working in the office on March 18th were extremely rude. They treated me like I was an idiot and the man said rude things about me under his breath. This is my very first experience renting a vehicle of any type and I was very unhappy with the way I was treated by your employees. I know this is not the fault of Uhaul as a company, but you may want to reach out to whoever runs this particular store and tell them their employees need to be retrained in the art of customer service. I was impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the van I rented. I was able to move everything I needed to in one trip thanks to the use of this van. The ease of returning it using the app was very nice, however it was not made clear that using the app to pick up the vehicle was impossible if the store was open at time of pick up. I was then forced to waste time giving information to the rude girl inside that I had already entered into the app attempting to pick up the van. Overall this was a mediocre experience at best. If I ever need to rent from Uhaul again I'm definitely going to make sure it is not at the 515 Meridian St. Anderson Indiana location.

The van I rented was not defrosted at all. On top of that, this location charged me a $20 convience fee for not checking in on line. Sadly, I rent Uhauls at least 6 times a month andt I have never been charged by any other Uhaul location. They also charged me $16.88 for fuel and I put $25 dollars in the tank. I only drove 40 miles, so $25 is a sufficient amount. It's locations like this that make me reconsider ever using Uhaul again. Honestly, I don't understand why thwy would choose to treat a loyal customer this way.

The general condition of this location site is very unwelcoming. It's also an auto/truck repair shop with many disabled vehicles clogging up access and egress to the property. The U-Haul equipment was fine.

DID NOT KNOW I RENTED THE DOLLY OR PADS UNTILL I GOT MY INVOICE. 10.00 AND 10.00 I HAVE MY OWN DOLLY. AND WE PUT GAS BACK IN TRUCK UP TO WHERE WE TOOK TRUCK OFF LOT AT.CHARGED US 14.40 FOR GAS. WILL LOOK FOR OTHER PLACE TO RENT FROM NEXT TIME. WHEN WE RENTED FROM OTHER OWNER WE HAD NO PROBLEMS. GOOD BYE 5 AND MERIDIAN. TO MANY SURPRISES. U HAUL IS GOOD.

Extremely fast service. I was in and out within five minutes. It is a used car lot, so it isn't attractive, but I didn't care. It was open, they had 24-hour drop off, easy in and out, so it fit my needs perfectly.
