I got there, the server (in the restaurant) took, my phone number and a photocopy or my drivers license and of my credit card (How can I be sure that this copy will be destroyed properly?!) and haded me the keys. That’s it, no questions about the mileage I was going to do, no signature needed, etc. I never got a contract…. Just got charged on my credit card. I rented the truck at 10:40 in the morning and the sms I got said I rented it at 2:45 am… and that I had until 2:45am the next day to bring it back. I never got a message for the link to return the truck. The truck was shaking like crazy. I thought I had a flat but I checked all the tires and everything was fine. At one point, the truck console made a weird sound. When I brought back the truck,

Richard TTrailer was stuck in the ice in the parking lot and I had to chop it out myself. Trailer had a significant pile of frozen snow in it, which I removed myself, and then there was an amount of frozen horse manure under the snow. The right side tail light did not function at all.
William FPeople can barely speak English to start. Trailer was surrounded with snow. After payment, we were told light weren’t working on trailer and when we checked, they were working fine either plus, we had a hard time bringing trailer back as it wasn’t properly entered into the system. 2nd time I try from that place and it’s worse every time. No longer going there.

RENEE LNous avions réservé à Gatineau pour 9hr. Faisant un aller retour de Montréal . Ils nous ont envoyé à Vars chercher notre camion et à 11 hr.Un 2 hr a été perdu sans compter le stress vécu pour arriver à Montréal à temps à notre entrepôt. Pour le reste c’était bien.
pierrette oI made my reservation on May 3 and on June 22nd Im told there are no trucks in the city. I had to organize a ride at the last minute. Also, I reserved 2 dollies but the new pick-up location had zero. I had to go get my own dollies as well. Customer service said they would add a 150$ refund on the price of the rental but I have not seen it yet.
Angus KThis pick up location opens at 8am, yet the website lists it as 1030am. This should be corrected.
Brian CI would get the truck personally rather than rent it on-line, and when comparing that type of pricing, you might find another company to be more capable of making your move easier and better.
Brent SMy experience this time was quite wonderful! All the people I dealt with were friendly and efficient. I am very pleased because I had a very bad experience at the u-haul on Immes 2 years ago and swore I would never use your service again, but this experience changed everything! In the future, I will simply avoid the Innes location. Thank you!

NICK CWas served right away, truck was there and ready for pick up on the date I reserved. I always have a good experience with Uhaul, and always got the Uhaul from the same location. Not to mention, I think Uhaul is very reasonable in pricing.

Michael RI had signed up for self pickup using my mobile device. The morning of the pickup, I could not do so. Called Uhaul and after 25 minutes on the phone, was told that the service was not available at that location. I had to go to a local Inn to meet someone. A bit of a rough start to an otherwise good move.
Roger MI found it a little strange that I had to take a photo of the mileage and fuel gauge to show the attendant, rather than it being personally verified by a U-Haul employee.
Alex CThe district manager changed my booking without asking me. I received a smaller trailer. This was difficult to work with as I had to then do many trips instead of one. This cost more gas and more if everyone’s time. The actual employees at KC were great. I sent an email to complain about my trailer not being there and never received a response so far.

Derek RI booked a 15ft truck, show up and there's no truck, I'm offered a 20ft the a 26 then she settles on a 20. I wanted to be on the road for 9am , I was there at 850 with a reservation. I left at 945, I rent a truck every month and every time it's a pain. If it was the first time I would not care but every time I rent a truck you would honestly think it was their first time doing it.

Jim CRenting uhaul equipment is not a common conversation piece, therefore recommenation to a friend does not apply. I did to and provide a review on google maps as well. Could of received 5 stars is 1 - the equipment was easier to find. I found the plate did not match the tracking number, this took me 5 minutes to figure out (it was cold and icy outside) 2 - after hour return process should be better labelled, or brought to my attention (I know, I'm a princess) 3 - Took me a few minutes to figure out the hitch attachment method where you turn to attach. Good thing for youtube :) 4 - (going above and beyond here) - Being told the trailer adds ~20% fuel usage to a trip on a 4 cylinder SUV. See? Everybody has to complain. See you again next year.
Richard MVehicle should be equipped with seasonal items. In this case a snow brush would've been nice. One of the reverse lamps was inop. Overall very satisfied.
Stephane DWe are very satisfied with the uhaul in Vars Ontario. Excellent service. We are just disappointed that the uhaul in Bourget, only 5 minutes away, did not return our phone call when we left a message on their machine, as it would have been far more convenient to pick the trailer up and return it. Also, we physically went there the day before, to request a trailer and when we went there the next day to pick up the trailer, the shop was closed, no sign on the door. We were then scrambling to find another uhaul dealership. Dissatisfied with Bourget uhaul.
Ernest LNot enough availability of smaller trucks. I only needed a 9 foot van for 3 pieces of furniture. Instead, I had to get a 15 foot. Much too large for my needs, obviously more expensive, as well as the gas expense. The staff was great, but no walk-around when picking it up. yonatan eWe did the online check in but still had to walk through all the questions with the receptionist despite telling her we had checked in online. She stated the computer wouldn't let her skip ahead so we had to go through all the questions again. It was a waste of time for both of us.
John VWe arrived at the scheduled pickup time, 6 pm, but the manager was not present at the location and we had to wait over an hour to get the truck. We didn't mind waiting but requested that the manager change the drop-off location for my rental to 859 Yonge St. Midland, ON L4R 2E8 to allow me to make up for the lost time driving time. Not receiving a receipt with this return location on it (after having been delayed 1.5 hours) resulted in my being incorrectly charged a $654.00 "wrong destination charge."

marc sMy order was missing the utility and furniture dollies that were prepaid for. A location staff member and I had to hunt through closets in the Motel to find just one of the dollies. I decided to go to my favourite location, Town and Country Video (059240) to rent the right equipment needed for my move. Not what I planned spending my day doing!
Jay MI was stranded on the highway for 6 hours waiting for someone to change a tire on the trailer I rented.i called in several times and was told that someone would call back. But they didn't respond.
stanley pI overfilled the gas tank on return. I would like to be compensated. we also overestimated our kilometers and used only a 1/4 tank of gas. The float was not working properly or reads slowly - I filled the tank to full - 78.56 litres at a cost to me of 95.37$ - that is about $64 overpaid in gas. Teresa NEmpty water bottle was left in truck. No dolly. No blankets. When I was packing and unloading truck, I noticed signs indicating hand dolly and blankets to be put back and folded. I never had this equipment with me. Wasn't required, but what about the next people, they might require it. The support bracket to secure loads was broken (disconnected from panel). This would be right side of truck and in front of wheel well and towards the back. Recommending this location is boiled down to location and availability. I needed a 10' truck to move two couches and that's it. Had to take a 20' and at full rate. I wasn't happy about that but was stuck as it was a last minute move and take it or do without. I believe, we should be given a map of location where we are dropping it off. My bad for not goggling it first, but since I was overwhelmed because of the quick move I didn't think of it. And since its a business --- I believe they should've just had it mapped or send it to my iPhone.
gordan pHaving to re input information that was provided by me for online reservation is a waste of everyone's time. Location often has problems with the check-in due to lack of knowledge/ comfort with your systems. 30 min for check-in when much of the info was provided online is not acceptable. This has been a consistent experience at this location. Not just once.
Dan Gwent through all the trouble to check in with all my info online only to still have to give all the info over again at the pick up location. takes like 30 min to pick up a trailer when the place is also a busy restaurant and a hotel i should be in and out in like 10 min with all the info i had already submitted
Cory ZMy whole experience with this rental was a total let down. Yes, I did finally get a rental truck for my task, but not before U-haul sent me to a location 42 km from home to pick up a truck. Which did not turn out, because the locatation never opened and I had to go to another location instead. I ended up being about an hour and a half late and drove about 65 kms out of my way to retrieve a truck. The truck had only a 1/4 tank of fuel in it and no snow brush to remove the ice and snow from the windshield. My main reason for choosing UHaul was Location, but I feel that I would have possibly been better off renting elsewhere! Your rating is a solid 3 out of 10, 10 being most satisfied. Sean Doré.

Danny OGot there had to wait 45 minutes nobody knew how to do the paperwork back of the truck was dirty I was told there was a quarter tank of gas I drove away the gas tank Was empty was not a good experience I’ll never use this location again.
GARY BPersonnel was not familiar with uhaul system. I was charged extra, instead of looking into the problem and fix it, I was charged the extra fee and told to contact uhaul myself and try to get refund. Personnel did not even know what I was being charged extra for, he gave no reason or explanation nor did he try to find out.
Caroline CMade online reservation with UHaul more than a month prior to the rental date. This location was a 40 minute drive from our Preferred Pick up location. We did not get the vehicle we requested and had to wait to receive the handcart we requested. The manager did their best to accommodate us given the error made by UHaul's online team.
Bruce RThis location was good to us however our overall experience finding a truck and after U-haul changing our pick up location and time made for a very stressful time. I have always rented from u haul and never had an issue like this.
Derrick MI came on Friday to ask in person to reserve a 5'x8' enclosed trailer. The girl said no problem and I asked if it would be an issue to pick it up at 7am. She said that I could come anytime because there is someone there 24 hours and I could pick it up at 5am if I wanted. When I got home I received a phone call from the owner asking me to reserve online, which I did. I reserved it for 7am. I arrived at 7am and was told that there was no one here that could help me and that I would have to wait at least 20 minutes. At 7:25am the owner arrived and did the paperwork. I hooked up the trailer and left. On the road, the trailer was shaking like crazy. I have towed many trailers of different sizes and I have never experienced something that shook so bad. There is a $50 guarantee that the trailer/truck will be there, but what about when there is no staff to serve you? I had an important meeting to get to at the office, so time was of the essence for me.

WILLIAM MOwner couldn't help to hook up and the trailer which is a cargo trailer leaked and my stuff inside got wet. When I told the people there is was oh well attitude.
