This location was way out of our way as the website advertised one nearby that in fact did not have the truck until 1 1/2 hrs later than what I needed. When I called them they sent me to a second location and next day to a 3rd location. But Toni in Santa Ana corrected all and gave us a discount that made worthwhile doing business again thus my rating. Thanks.Shahab M.

The self service was completely a joke. I used the application to check for everything including mileage, and it said 85802, and I drove for about 40 minutes in total, and all the rest was just loading and unloading. When I went back, office is closed. I had to return the U-Haul using the App. It let me input current mileage to calculate the â€œtotal mileage travelledâ€, so I put 85818, and then it said the original mileage was around 78000 miles, which means that I drove 7000+ miles in 40 minutes. And the app realize it cannot be that much, but funny thing is that, it will not let me proceed to the next step. I had to put the â€œplus 16 milesâ€ to the â€œoriginal mileageâ€ to proceed to the next step. Lol how funny, 7k miles in less than one hour.Yongyuan Z.

Honestly put, I have never had to deal with a U Haul location like this. When I created my reservation online, I opted out of insurance. Simply because my personal insurance covers me and the trucks I rent. At pickup the young lady helping my never mentioned the insurance, so my thought was well she must have seen my opting out on no insurance. When I returned the truck, she advised me that I was being charged at 14.99 for insurance, I politely advised her that I stated on the reservation that I did not want it, quoting her. â€œ I verified with you at pickup if you wanted the insurance, and you said yesâ€. Not I know this will turn into a he said she said, I personally do not care about 15 dollars. But it was her tone and response that really turned me off to the service. Secondly, before I left with the truck at pickup, she asked me how much gas was in the truck. Sorry to say, due to the type of customer service I was provided. I didn't give the best response. I asked her if she did not know how much gas was in the truck when I took it. She went on telling me that the system was having her charge me for not enough gas. Me taking a picture of the mileage and gas amount in the truck, I showed her the picture. Her response was, â€œ this is why I tell all my customers to use the app so they can dispute the charges or errors!â€ My response at that point was please just charge me so I can be in my way. She went ahead and removed the 10 charge for gas, but I will be completely honest with you. My family has been renting trucks on Orange County, CA. for over 35 years. Your trucks being our number one go to for rentals. But since all your locations are now closed in Santa Ana, CA. except for the location I picked up from. I rather pay an extra .35 cents with Hertz or .59 cents with Penske, than to ever spend my money on U Haul again. Please keep the 15 bucks for insurance, please do not contact me or attempt to â€œmake this rightâ€. Our minds are made up, it's sad that you lost all our business over all the above. After a horrible experience at the Uhaul on Campus in Newport Beach, the staff at K&C was extremely helpful. I would rather drive to the K&C location in Santa Ana than use the campus location.Daniel K.

Drop off location was changed unexpectedly, adding mileage and gas. The location closed early and I was charged $20 for an after hours service even though NO ONE had to help me. I parked the truck in the lot and dropped the keys in a dropbox.Alice C.

The staff at this location was not helpful. They gave me the key and didn't know go over the information on the contract. I was charged two nights when I only rented one night. I dropped off the key during off hours on the same day and the store clerk was not helpful at all.Long N.

Was never told about the after hours fee of $20 after I specifically said I was returning after hours. Also they sneakily tried to add insurance to the rental when I checked the no insurance box. Never given the contract with the correct fuel amount. Rented the truck at 10:40 and was told to have it back by 10 and it was a 24hr rental, that's not 24hrs! Terrible scummy place!Elizabeth T.

Dont use the app. I parked the rental truck at about 8:40 pm. I didn't leave until about 9 something because the app didn't work. Everytime it asked to upload a photo of the dash board, it kept saying it didn't work. I wasnt able to upload the photos it asked for. I wasn't able to until i walked up the stairs to put the keys in the box, where i saw to go on the website and finish the return process. DO NOT USE THE APP.steven K.
