The busiest time of the year, I lived in the most remote area, I booked a week in advance only… The service from the agent on the phone to the condition the truck was in was absolutely incredible. Moving is difficult in the best of times, the summer was very hard on Northwestern Manitoba where I was moving from and I just want to thank U-Haul for being professional, safe, and explaining every part of the truck and how to drive it, pack it. I have a class 4 drivers license, but it was really nice to see that no matter who rents the truck is going to get a good overview on how to be safe and to take everything as it comes. This is a situation where it is not a sprint, It is a marathon and I just felt like I won first prize! Thank you so much!

The truck I had did not have hazard lights. This is REALLY important for a full weight truck going uphill to have when it is doing half the speed limit. I also recommend a bluetooth upgrade for the truck. No one has a line out on their phone any more.

Staff at site were very pleasant. The 15 foot truck I rented did not have cruise control which was tiresome on a six hour drive. Truck had Arizona license plate so the speedometer was set in miles not km. I figured out how to change it but it reverted each time it was shut off

Night before my rental got a call demanding that I have to return my truck to Brandon at the end of rental even though my booking clearly said to be dropped in portage la prairie. This extra travel came out of my pocket and is absolutely bullshit I will definitely advise all friends and family to avoid using u-haul if possible because it was a terrible experience. And the vehicle had garbage in it from the last user still.

Unit was supposed to be ready to pick up via lock box at 8am. Key was never put inside so had to wait an hour till they opened at 9am. The box of the unit was still dirty from the previous rentee, the A/C was barely functional and no cruise control. Completely miserable experience

Picked up a 5x8 trailer. The lights did not work. I had to rewire the lights right before the trip in plus 40 Celsius weather. Not impressed!

No one spoke English. Had to speak through the employees cell phone to someone at home to pick up the rental. She wrote everything down on paper and kept the paper in her pocket when we left. I felt possible violation of my identity info so I locked all my cards. Sketchy practices. I've rented in some uhaul dives over the years but never left convinced my identify would be stolen. (Not being racists or anything) just it was a very shady way to rent. In the end we waited a half hour for another employee who could speak English to come in and complete the rental as they couldn't figure out over the phone hiw to charge my visa debit. I had to tell my card info out your in a store 3 times for people to hear.

Unfortunately I had to drop the trailer back off in a rain storm. Their lot is level with the ditch beside it and I was standing in 5” of water during a lightning storm while trying to unhook. I know it’s mostly just luck of the draw on my part but maybe the lot needs to be graded to drain.

I rented the 6x12 enclosed trailer. U-Haul must install tongue jacks on these size of trailers since I estimate the tongue weight to be approximately 70 pounds which is a safe 2 person lift but if you will be by yourself there is a high risk of injury when you lift the tongue to install on the tow vehicle hitch ball. One of the 4 tires was soft and needed an additional 35 pounds of air pressure to match the other 3. The trailer deck inside was not cleaned after the last use with muddy footprints visible. The staff member I dealt with was polite and helpful.

The business owner was late in arriving. I had ordered 24 blankets but they only had 12. I had also ordered a dolly but they did not have one. The truck was fine but it's windshield was had not been cleaned.

it pains my whole heart having to rent a u haul... The service cant be this poor and all about money. As mentioned, I run a moving company and I cant rely on u haul to get a positive review from my customer, This poor practice must stop.

I was not happy with the service I got. If I can help to never rent uhaul again, I will. We have always been happy with uhaul before but this time it was off the charts bad. So if you have from 1-10 on good or bad I would class it as a 100 under anything good. Never going to recommend uhaul to anyone ever again.

This is the second time I’ve rented this truck. First time I had a 8am pick up. Couldn’t get the keys until after 9. This time I book for 9 to avoid this and again couldn’t get the keys at my desired time. It was 945 by the time I got to where I was going. Paid employees to stand around and wait.

Only issue I had was that the trailer did not have a jack and it’s is a hard lift for one person and there is no one to help at both the pick up or drop off locations

Very informal. I did all the app check in and check out but was still made to write all my info down. Asked if I could come back in a hour, even though I had checked in. When I brought it back, Wanted me to get a picture of the odometer for him. I said I had done this on the app. Wouldn’t accept the keys so I walked out and placed the keys in the drop box.

Infact, I was very disappointed with the service I received. The attendant instructed me to hook my truck to the trailer without coming out to verify whether it was done correctly. No assistance or safety check was provided, which is concerning given the risks involved with towing. Additionally, one of the tire straps used to secure the vehicle was too short and could not be properly wrapped around one of the vehicle’s tires. This created a significant safety concern, as the vehicle could not be secured as intended. Proper supervision and adequate equipment are essential to ensure customer safety. I believe this situation could have resulted in a serious incident and should be addressed to prevent future risks.

They were very helpful and informative. They answered my questions and accommodated my needs perfectly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. My only negative thing I would have to say is there was only 2 sizes of trucks at that location. Otherwise I am happy with the location.

I was delayed for over one hour, the drop off location was very far from my destination address even though we have nearer locations, I was charged again that I exceeded the mileage

I had to have a truck that I didn't want to, 20" Truck, because my 26" Truck wasn't available. The point is I have done a reservation one month before I get it. Than I got to the place to pick it up and the place wasn't open yet. Yes they was latte! The truck was dirty, front and trailer. I dropped off the vehicle with more gas when I picked it up and I got no discount.... futhermore I have been charged more on my drop off. You gave me a smaller truck forcing me to drive more than expected to take my belongings to the right place.

Funny you drop the truck off 16 hrs early and receive no reimbursement but have to pay $33 more for extra mileage!!!!

First, I didn’t want to rent it to me said there wasn’t one then when I went to go get it he told me I need to get three other peoples phone numbers before he give it to me early. He could speak English and then when I took it back, you didn’t give me no receipt. He said I had to wait. They’ll send it to me in an hour six hours ago, so I’m hoping you guys could send me a receipt our rent from you guys all the time but that place is ridiculous. I guess because I was scruffy looking.

Again uhaul has to let customers know about overage on kilometres. I mentioned to reservation where I was going with the uhaul twice and my milage was still over. I don’t understand why

Booked U-Haul in advance and 2 days prior moving was advised that my truck and equipment isn’t available and we have to drive 3 hours one way to get it. The amount we were compensated didn’t even cover gas to go get the truck, not to mention missed day of work and inconvenience it caused. All phone calls to customer service and management were useless. Extremely disappointed with service.
