The van was clean and decent, i did have to speak with the manager over the phone.. to give my id and license to verbally, i found it unusual but everything worked out fine. Things went well. With a single Christian bone in my body i couldn't get a van at any other location, but west hempstead had one for me thanks.
Doran StclairThe reservation was made online. On the day of the pickup of the truck Saturday 11/4/23. The facility was closed although the sign on the window states they open at 9am on Saturdays. There was a number to call and the woman who answered was am the most rudest and nasty person. Numerous times she kept telling myself and another gentleman who was picking up a vehicle that they are closed and she doesn't work Saturdays. We both kept telling her How are we supposed to know this as we reserved online and there was no indication. After several minutes of her rude and condescending nasty attitude, we sent license photos via text to her and finally were given lock box numbers to access the keys. My vehicle which was a 15 ft truck was on empty for fuel. I took a picture and sent it to her via text and she said go to the gas station when I asked they type of fuel, her response was ask the gas station attendant. I also online reserved 2 dollies which she said we don't have go to another U-Haul place to get them. I explained I had no time now. I would never again rent from this location nor would I ever recommend it
PAUL GUZZARDOLocation was easy to find but parking lot was messy and not very many available vans/trucks. And there were some random individuals trying to assess cars for sale that were located in the lot that kept trying to talk to me and my family.

JEAN PIQUIONWas given the box number to get my key… opened the box but the key opened a different vehicle. It was pouring rain out… called u haul general number to explain the situation… they were very helpful. Gave me the code to the other boxes so I could get the right key . It was a big inconvenience to deal with as I was standing in the poring rain and it took an extra half hour to get this sorted out …. Keys shoujd be out in the correct key box. There was no one on site , I was very fortunate that the agent at the 1800 number had access to all 3 lock box passwords . Truck cab had crumbs and dirt in it… not the end of the world but it could have been a little cleaner , maybe wiped down and sterilized after the last use …. Looked like last customer returned it and that was it …the company that has them in site shoujd really wipe down the cab ( steering wheel and seats) after each use .

Khaled TashmanMake the requirements for online/mobile pickup clear up front. I was unaware that I needed secondary contact information or a passport or other information for verification until after I had already arrived to pickup the vehicle. This led to a 20-30 minute delay in my reservation.
Anthony MendezThere was a young man there that did not speak English. We had to communicate through text message with a young lady…she seemed very annoyed although it was her fault we had to communicate by phone. When we returned the vehicle, the man at the shop just took the keys. He never inquired about our experience and when I asked about the refund for the unused mileage he told me to contact the lady I spoke to earlier. He was not the individual I dealt with earlier, so I did contact her. The customer service was poor.

KYOUNG SONGPoor management at this location was charged a different price then what our contract stated. Called costumer service multiple times to complain about this location. Our contract stated 79 cents a mile we were charged another price. Will never go/recommend this location again. Should not be a uhaul distributor.

Edward MorrisonThere was a problem with the gas amount in the truck when picked up. the attendant said she would make note of it but never did and i was ultimately charged for it. after a number of phone calls to the location nothing was done to rectify the situation. i was forced to get my credit card company involved.
