Pickup truck was not allowed to leave at any location. This shouldn't be the case as I remember it was allowed earlier. Pathetic app and zero tolerance support.

Employees were nice, though not very experienced. Pickup took about 1-2 hours, and they assured us that fuel would be reimbursed, but it stated in the contract that fuel does not get reimbursed. So just be warned.

Getting to my truck was impossible. Had to call dispatch to get the gate code after someone hung up on me to get the gate code. Check in assumed I'd be at the truck and I wasn't able to confirm any of the details during the check in process. Tried to charge me extra for cleaning fees and other garbage I never consented to. Horrible experience overall.

This local office was great. Mo was a great help in answering all my questions and going above and beyond to help. Clearer disclosure on the U-haul (American) contracts would be better. (The distance rate is quoted in miles not km) However, I was given an overall estimate and the final total was very close.

On September 1st I booked a 15 foot truck to be picked up on September 3rd at the Nove Nine Diner, 3303 3rd Ave NW (Order 27781052) for 10am. The morning of September 3rd, I had booked an Uber from my hotel and was heading downstairs to go to the location above. I received a text message at 9:34am, less than a half hour before my scheduled pick up time that my U-haul pickup was moved to 3540 52nd street SE. This was three times as far (a 10 minute drive vs a 30 minute drive), and I was told 24 minutes before I was supposed to be there. This location also was much farther away from where I needed to be, and would simply not work for my plans. I called the location, the person who answered had no form of customer service skills, and told me to call U-haul. I did. The person who answered was very helpful and understanding. They looked in their system and said they were able to book me the very truck I needed at the location I was already confirmed at for 10:30am. They made this for me (Reservation 18904919). This all took about 25 minutes to get straightened out. I rebooked an Uber, and went to the Nove Nine Diner. Upon arrival, the clerk took my name, recognized the reservation, and was adamant he had communicated he did not have the vehicle, even though it was able for me, and the u-haul representative to book. I asked what he could do further, he told me I had to call u-haul, as him calling would result in it being delayed more, and they would have to talk to me regardless. I was now outside, standing beside a river. I called the same u-haul support number. The person connected me with a local scheduler. They apologized and moved my reservation to a location they described as ‘downtown'. Begrudgingly, I accepted this. I received the text with the address and found the location was not downtown at all, but an industrial area on the other side of downtown from where I was (6320 Center street S). This location is essentially 30 blocks south of anything that would reasonably be considered ‘downtown'. I was provided a discount. I again called the number and voiced the concerns of the misrepresentation of the location. I was told there was not much more in the way of further compensation that could be offered. The person also informed me this location did not open until 12pm. It was currently 10:45am. This further delayed my day another 75 minutes. I was now beside a river with nowhere to go for over an hour. I took an Uber to the area and aimlessly wandered around a Home Depot. I arrived at the location. Was provided a truck that I was assured was ‘nice'. I paid and left. I had a number of heavy items I needed help to load. My four friends had to wait, and ultimately, three had to back out of helping me due to the time. My one remaining helper and I managed to get everything loaded in 30+ degree heat. When I was loaded and began setting out, the check engine light came on. I called the same person from scheduling I spoke to earlier and was told to go to a U-haul center to have the code read. It delayed my day a further hour. The code was an error due to the catalytic converter being stolen (this according to the clerk). They said they cleared the code, but it would likely happen again. I was ultimately delayed over 3.5 hours in being able to leave Calgary for my new home in Lethbridge. Numerous people made attempts to help. All were pleasant, but few were able to actually follow through on any attempt to rectify problems, or take real ownership of the situation. I had follow up from Hamid Daryab - Area Field Manager UHaul, this was condescending and wholly unproductive.

I rent at 1:15 till 2:30,back door didnt locked,when i driving door opened, i paied for 1:15 hours ,67 $. For one hour 20$ +15$ins+5$(15min)=40$ Why he backed deposit 34 $ . I paied 100$ deposit. Why 27$ extra?

When I called Uhaul Calgary, they told me there was only a single location in the entire city accepting returns. When I got there at noon the gate was locked. I called the owner and nobody answered. I called he Uhaul number again and was told the location was closed for the next two days. Not a positive experience.

Moving my daughter from Calgary to Victoria I had booked a 6x12 trailer. I had called to change the pickup date of my rental. I had booked a 6x12 cover trailer. The lady I spoke with said no problem but entered the information incorrectly. When I showed up the following day I was informed my rental was cancelled. She could not explain to me what had happened. They found another trailer for me to use but again when I arrived it was not there. I was sent to another location as they had a trailer for me, but it was not the same size. It was smaller 5x8. Made numerous phone calls looking for an explanation as to what happened to my reservation and finally on the 5 phone call I got an explanation. Uhaul admits to the mistake. I needed to speak with a manager to help me. I'm told Hilary will call me but she did not. I called and was transferred to her phone 3 different time, each time the phone was answered but was then transferred back to customer care. Finally after then next time I was transferred I was just hung up on. Over all Very poor customer service I will never use uhaul again. Because I was not helped I left the trailer in Victoria

Location was just a fenced-in yard. Not what I was expecting. Old bus parked at entrance gate being used as an office. The staff member was friendly and helpful. Ultimately I just dropped off a trailer and was on my way again.

Pre-check and check in went smoothly. I had some trouble with after hours mobile drop off as I suppose my location services on my mobile was turned off and I couldn't get it back on to complete drop procedure. Was glad to get email from Uhaul promptly next day that all was good.

Did not have my truck for the one way trip. Offered me a bigger one but I need the 15 foot for the loading bay. Ended up giving me the last one which was an in city only and I had to go to a different location and switch trucks after Uhaul called me and told me to turn around and go back after I had driven away.

The location is inconvenient. I rented from NW Calgary and was sent to South Calgary to pick up and drop off. I asked to pick up at 10 am and that was changed to a time when I was working. The only reason I would recommend this particular site is because of the gentleman who works there. 1 man, working out of an old bus! He was friendly, professional and truly a pleasure to deal with! This man is the only reason I would recommend this site. I've never dealt with anyone so pleasant and helpful. I hope they know what a valuable employee he is.

A little tight in the yard. I suggest staff prep the larger trucks for easy exit. A slightly "unconventional" location but the customer service here was much better than the last "upscale" pickup location I dealt with. Recommended.

I had registered online and had to provide my credit card again which I did not like. I was not given a hard copy of contract and had to wait for an email. I was not given a hard copy receipt and when I received the receipt via email I saw I had been charged for insurance which I had not agreed to. I expect an insurance refund
