joe cI am writing a scathing review concerning a satisfactory experience with UHaul customer service. Story: on a Wednesday in Fallbrook, CA, I picked up a 15’ rental from Moe’s no issues. I had to jump start it twice on Thursday and on Friday it couldn’t accelerate past 1500 rpm. I worked with roadside assistance to leave it and pursue alternatives. I worked with Moe’s to find a local alternative, which we did. However, when I arrived there an hour after opening, the location was still closed. I called customer service who directed me to an alternate location in Oceanside, advised me I would be given the in town rate (dropping it off in Fallbrook) and a $50 discount. Fast forward to the end of the move after the vehicle was dropped off in Fallbrook. I received a call from the Oceanside location which rented me the truck asking me where it was. I related the story to them. They said they had nothing in the notes and that they were charging me $400 for failure to drop off at their location and an additional charge for the vehicle that required roadside assistance because they had nothing notes that showed it had been turned in. Ascertaining that these charges were to be applied took 30 mins of valuable time with customer service. The fact that there were no notes, I was given a lemon, and I had to sort things out with customer service - who had no answers - is completely unsatisfactory.
Ben HExtremely disorganized drop-off experience. I followed instructions exactly and was met with conflicting directions and poor handling from staff. There was a person on site giving conflicting instructions as if she were staff when she was not. Customers shouldn’t have to navigate that level of confusion for a basic return. REGARDLESS of any festival or local events.
Brianna Mthis truck has bad brakes, constant pull to the right. very unsafe to drive -- NOT happy with the experience with this vehicle and would like compensation. drove from san diego to bullhead city going 50 miles an hour TOPS because of unsafe conditions!
EDWARD WMake the tiedown for the rental dolly stronger/thicker. Ours broke in the normal moving process (a box shifted against it in transit) so we were charged for the rental even though we didn't use it.

JEFFREY PMoe is great. There isn't anything he can do to make the service better. I always choose Moe's when I use U-Haul. It was especially helpful that he was open on Saturdays. Separately, the particular truck I rented had a lot of road noise from the driver's door. I checked to see that the door was closed and the window rolled up and all were secure. It gave me the impression that someone had to try and break into the vehicle before and had damaged the door seal or tweaked the door. I don't know if there is anything that can be done to correct it but, anyone taking it on a long haul or out of state would probably have to wear some type of hearing protection.

MARTIN EAbsolutely the best customer service! This rental location has repeatedly given us VIP treatment. Our contract writer Moe has gone above and beyond to fulfill our rental needs.
MERRILL WBecause the Uhauls are parked far away from the office. The employee did not walk me around the truck. I had to do it myself on a dark street and send the before renting pictures. The location is very inconvenient and the sign for the U-Haul is hard to find. I will use it again. Only if I have to. There are other locations in Fallbrook that have better customer service.
