I made the reservation on the U-Haul app. When attempting to pick up the truck, the attendant told me the the Damage Protection Coverage and Roadside Assistance coverage were mandatory instead of optional. I told him my car issurance would cover it if something happened. First, he told me the computer wouldn't let him continue unless I agreed to the extra coverage. I went outside to call U-Haul. He eventually came out and told me his manager told him he could rent it to me. Even then, he kept up, saying you really need it. Repairs are really expensive. I felt this was a real Bait and Switch Scam. If your app allows the reservation to be completed without this optional coverage, why are your agents allowed to try to change the terms of the contract? The rear tire air pressure was low and the Dashboard was showing theTPMS warning.

Had difficulty locating the truck and word lock. Attendant in food mart did not know how to help or problem solve. She couldn’t leave the store to help with the trucks and locks located outside. I ended up having to call U-Haul for assistance.
