The mileage in my truck was recorded incorrectly. It was as if they did not account for the miles driven by the previous customer. I called this location to report my issue and they told me I was at fault because I did not take a picture of the odometer when I began my rental. No one told me I needed to do this. The seats of the truck were covered in crumbs and cigarette burns. However, the truck was in great mechanical condition and very easy to drive.Allison P.

Literally in a gas station. Staff member literally just took my papers and told me to drop the trailer. No help whatsoever and just overall bizarre. Then I preceded to get charged for an extra day and the staff member forged the drop off time to be a day after. Ridiculous.Roger F.

There was a styrofoam cup left in the cup holder, which by itself isn't a huge deal, but I told the guy behind the counter and he assured me it was no big deal, it had already been checked - given that there was no way the inside of the truck could have been properly sanitized by the COVID protocol specified on the UHaul website, I was a little disappointed and I wonder how many other locations are just checking boxes. Ultimately, after I specifically asked him to, he removed the coffee cup, but I mentioned that it probably should be sanitized for COVID stuff and he didn't acknowledge the request (I could have asked more directly, probably, but at that point I was in a rush and tired of feeling like I was putting him out and left). I also wasn't given the mattress cover I prepaid for online - by the time I realized I had already gotten to my apartment, and just went without it. I got a refund when I returned the truck (it took ~15 minutes), but I would rather have gotten the cover when I picked up the truck, of course.Alyssa B.
Make sure everything in relation to what they're renting is working or in condition to be used. My right signal turn on an auto transporter wasn't working. That was that was the only inconvenience, otherwise everyone was very helpful and hard working.XAIMARIE S.
Have the shop owners clean the trucks so that the next person does not get charged for someone else's mess. The shop owners should also do a walk through so people aren't charged for damages that already exist.Mallory E.
Check trucks better as far as mechanical issues. The truck I had needs a tune up it was shaking alot. I'm sure needs alightment it keep going to middle and side of the street. There was no air conditioning it was blowing out complete hot heat which was not good bc it was already burning hot outside. The truck smelled like mildew and humidity. Mud in the inside of floor mats. I can tell they only check the gas and milage then park it. I really wouldn't recommend this location.shanequia C.

I would of appreciated if he would have told me the air wasn't working before I purchased it...it was 97 degrees that day with no air I could have went to another location and rented one with air, told him about it when I returned it and the only thing he could say was we put in a work order. Both people that helped me were very nice. I liked the fact that the guy came out and helped me back up my truck to attach the trailer and attached the trailer for me. The place itself isn't in the best neighborhood so just watch out for anyone lingering around you.John O.

Person not at rental pickup. Waited. Decided truck was too small. Went to another location for larger truck. Person there on Hawthorne said I had to pay (again). Had already paid. Boo. Got hone and there was no dolly (we reserved). Called uhaul on Atlanta Hiwy (that was where we were supposed to pick up original truck). National office of uhaul contact sent us to Nima. Atllanta hwy made everything okay.ian G.

Educate the Uhaul distributors more. The dealer told us we could drop it off anywhere in Atlanta and it wasn't until we got to one Atlanta location that they told us they could not accept it. It just seems like no one really knows what the correct thing to do is.Kim C.

They rang me up, gave me the key to the truck, the dolly and said have a nice day. They didn't even tell me which truck to take or come outside to make sure everything was good to go. Also I later noticed that on the backside of my receipt that someone else's drivers license was printed on it. I think they are reusing old paper and by doing this they are making it easy for identity theft.David G.

Make sure the tires on the trailer are good tires and not worn out when you are fixing to haul something 1500 miles. That was a hazard and dangerous to send someone out with bad tires.Stephanie F.

Improve scheduling accuracy. I called 12 times to get everything situated/scheduled. The time and location constantly changed and then the night of my pickup there was no truck so had to wait until the next morning. There are definitely flaws in the system...Jeremy B.

I'm very disappointed in my U-Haul experience today. I was redirected from my preferred location to one a few miles away which isn't a big deal. I was rented a truck which was very dirty inside and realer of cigarette smoke. I even found smoked cigarettes in the floorboard. As a non-smoker, I found this to be repulsive. I drive the truck to my destination about 8 miles away only to find that the back rolling door is locked rending the truck unusable. I called customer service who contacted the location. I was instructed to use the key attached to the chain from the lock. The lock had a chain attached, but no key. I was told by the rep. that my reservation would be noted of the inconvenience. I had to drive back to the location which seemed bothered and I was told they had to lock the trucks because of the homeless population in the area. He then unlocked it with me to make sure a homeless person wasn't entrapped inside... I told him I was very frustrated and didn't want to pay for this extra millage or replacement gas. He said he would tell his boss. After utilizing the truck, the same clerk seemed surprised I was back before the 4:00 return time, and immediately asked me two questions: 1) Did you have any problems with the breaks? 2) It didn't overheat? I was then charged full rate for the extra fuel and millage. I have rented from U-Haul for years and know this experience is atypical, but I want you to know this location is not up to brand standards in equipment quality or customer service.Jake G.

This location is very unprofessional. It was unclear upon arrival that the location was an authorized uhaul location. The clerk behind the register at the gas station was also in charge of dealing with any uhaul transactions. The entire pickup process was very slow. There was also a very creepy man who was there to "help" apparently. He wasn't wearing anything clothing to suggest he worked for uhaul or the gas station. It was very sketchy and cause for concern. After the creepy men tried to help me put the trailer on, I then realized I had the wrong size trailer and they were unable to issue me an immediate refund for the mistake. I was put on the phone with a manager who directed me to call customer service because they could no longer help me. I then stood there and debated with the clerk about just issuing me a refund. After 15 minutes and saying that I was just going to go to another location, he then only issued me a partial refund. I gave up and decided to deal with the issue at another time. I proceeded to go to other location down the road, where the people were very professional and a pleasure to work with. The Food Mart location is awful and very unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.Elliott W.

This store has a continuous stream of customers mostly buying scratch off tickets and cigarettes/drinks. There was only ONE staff employee serving both the day I picked up (Sun 11:30am) and the drop off (Mon 11:00am). The wait was about 20 mins for pickup and about 15 mins for drop off. The employee was doing a great job managing all the demand BUT this location NEEDS AT LEAST ONE MORE STAFF if they are going to provide quality U-Haul customer service.Gary H.
