I had reserved a truck for a 2:00pm-6:00pm time frame. When we got to the place, there wasn't a pickup trunk on site. Plus no one was in the office to get the keys. I immediately called U-haul and was helped right away. The lady confirmed my reservations was complete and did not know why the office wasn't opened so I was transferred to the traffic department to see why no one was on site to help us. I was placed on hold for 45 minutes. Someone finally answered the phone and said they will be in the office. When we drove back to the U-haul on Crane St in Compton, there was a pickup parked behind the 10' U-haul truck. After going over the paperwork verbally because prior to my reserved time, I completed the online check-in. We finally left U-haul around 3:20pm (1 hour and 20 minutes after my 2:00pm reserved time). Additionally, I reserved a dolly and they didn't have one available but charged me for it anyway. Then when we returned the trunk, again no one was in the office and the alarm remote wouldn't fit in the dropbox. I called the guy and he said to just throw the key over the fence and he'll be in the office in 30 minutes to retrieve the key. This location is very close to my house but very unprofessional to represent the U-haul franchise. To improve for the next customer, have the vehicle on site and make sure someone is in the office to prevent delays in the pickup time that is reserved.Jacques M.
This drop off location is a run down looking junk yard. Broken toilet and trash throughout the location. Trash all over the "office. " Scary looking location. I had to call the pick up location to have this location close out the contract. I'm glad I had someone with me. U-Haul needs to really look into their secondary drop off locations.ANGELA S.
I did not rent it! The idiot dealer who rented this truck rented it to someone using my name. He must have selected the wrong account by phone number or something and neither him nor the renter even looked at the contact to make sure the correct name address and details were on it. I haven't rented a Uhaul since 2018. Angry that this happened!mason M.
