They need more staff to accommodate the amount customers. It took 1 hr for us to get a truck. We finally received our truck only to find out that the gas tank was empty and had to drive it immediately to the gas station. After driving it to the house, we find out the back of the truck was LOCKED!!!!! This location needs to keep all keys necessary for the truck on the keychain like the other uhaul location we used. Not only did we have to drive back to the uhaul and then back to the house, we also lost an hour's worth of moving time.

I was double charged.

Upon returning someone should be at the return location to eliminate desk clerk from going back outside to check the returned equipment and the customer left waiting inside.

A guy called Ernesto was talking to me in a very condescending way. He asked me to give him a phone number of someone I know, I am new in town and did not know anyone's phone number but my girlfriend's who was in the middle of an online exam. I have rented from U-Haul a million times before and never been asked to give a phone number that must be answered before I can get my equipment. When I told him that this is a new requirement that I wasn't aware of, and that I do need the equipment right away, he told me in the rudest way to get out of the shop and asked his coworker to unhook that trailer to my car.

Better vehicle maintenance, the vehicle that I rented need breaks, tires, wheel alignment, tune up, it used way to much gas.

Just update your system. It took almost 2 hrs to get out of there. But if it wasn't for the service I received I would've left mad.

Unprofessional staff, tried to charge me more for my equipment then I had to. It was my first time renting from this location I know now I will not be returning to this location.

I believe I was overcharged for fuel. I only went 11 miles in the truck and I was charged $64 for fuel. As per contract if there needed to be a refuel the rate is $5.25 per gallon. If you could please explain how this is fair. You can contact me at

This review is not specifically about the Lynwood location, but about the entire experience of using Uhaul and Ubox. Everyone at the Lynwood location was pleasant and easy to work with, but everything else about the last two weeks of shipping all of our belongings from NYC to LA has been a headache to say the least. The workers at the Woodside location in Queens were rude and unprofessional. Communication after our boxes were shipped was poor and confusing. Our boxes were guaranteed to arrive at Lynwood on 8/11, and after trying to get in contact with Uhaul for DAYS, being transferred 10 times, placed on hold for 40 minutes+ each time I was transferred, no one could figure out where our boxes were. It wasn’t until 8/14 that someone finally admitted that they had in fact arrived in Lynnwood days before. My boyfriend took off work on 8/12 to unload the boxes and couldn’t do so because no one would tell us where the boxes were and if they were ready. I had to sit on hold all day at work on 8/14 arguing with Uhaul employees who offered no help with locating our boxes. Two times I was transferred to a moving help number that, according to other Uhaul employees DOESNT EVEN EXIST. I sat on hold for over and hour each time waiting for someone to answer on a phone number that did not exist. Then when finally finding out that our Uboxes were in Lynwood, was told they we couldn’t have someone move our boxes until SUNDAY 8/20. Finally after speaking to many different phone operators we were able to access and have our boxes moved on 8/14. We were offered no discount or compensation for our time wasted. I would absolutely it recommend using Ubox or Uhaul, especially not the Woodside, Queens location.

Customer recovery is great at this location
