Friendly service. Was told by a corporate customer service employee that there was not a demand for the motorcycle trailer in my area, and that this location did not have one, nor could they get one. I called the dealer direct and found out they had four! Rented one the same day, however it would've been cheaper online.Mark D.
I have never wasted more time on the phone trying to pick up a reserved trailer! Last minute told there wasn't one? But there was one!! In fact there were 5! were they said there wasn't one, absolutely the worst experience with U-Haul I've ever had I wish there was another option. NOT THE SALIDA STORE THEY WERE GREAT! Reservations tried to send me 86 miles from my Buena vista pick up point (where there were trailers also) and they were unaware of trailers sitting stagnant in Salida Colorado reservations was the real poor customer service stemmed from they actually disconnected me twice saying that's all they can do. I know blah blah blah not sure why I'm even sending this have a nice day.George H.

When a reservation is made and confirmed a vehicle should be available. I was told that there wasn't a truck available and there was nothing they could do about, it wasn't their problem. After fighting with them they gave me a bigger truck. Terrible customer service at pick up location. U-Haul left me a voicemail, as I was trying to pick up my truck, saying that my reservation â€œrequestâ€ couldn't be completed at my â€œpreferred locationâ€. What? Also said a truck would be available 65 miles away, in three or four days. NO! When someone reserves a vehicle for a location and date, it should be there or else U-Haul shouldn't take the reservations. TERRIBLE!! If I ever need to rent a truck again it will not be with U-Haul.Raymond G.

The truck I was given leaked in near the cab, destroying a shelving unit and several other items. I was told to put things I don't want damaged by water in that area, so I'm pretty pissed. Now I can't find where to file a claim for this shit.Paul H.

The equipment was well maintained but not clean. the previous user left the container area of the truck dirty with some trash inside. I received a call from U-Haul Customer Service the night before letting me know that the truck I ordered would not be available until 10:30 rather than 8:00. This was fine but he was of no help in trying to problem solve an alternative. He seemed more interested in moving one than helping me.Hipolito A.

we had to drive 100 miles to pick up this truck after we were "guaranteed" a truck in Denver. However uhaul did discount their price and added extra miles and an extra day to compensate. Truck had fueling issue in that the fuel could not be added at regular speed w/o the nozzle shutting off. Had to fill at 1 gallon per 3 minute rate to avoid this.Dennis S.
Ask employees where to put trailer, he said over there. I asked do I get any paperwork, he said online return. No other assistance . Got to my residence; try to checkin, couldn't, wasn't at dropoff business. Called uhaul Corp to check in equipment terrible, terrible service picking up and returning. I will never us Uhaul again. You do not care about customers or customer service. I asked to be contacted by uhaul and I have not been.Danny W.

This was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I'll never use you again and make it my mission to make sure no one does. A 5 hour round trip just to pick up my uhaul. 4 hours on hold for customer service. You all are garbage and I hope uhaul goes under and you have to drive 5 hours to move after you're fired. Had to drive 275 miles round trip to pick up a 6x12' trailer. Denver metro area had none. Town I got it from, Salida, CO had 12 of them on their lot. You would expect U-Haul to move them to where the demand is but guess not. Trailer, trip and facilities were all fine.Frederick M.
Some confusion regarding trailer transport drop off. I was delivering a empty trailer to the drop off location to receive discount on my truck rental. The receiver was unaware of it and said that they don't use this type of trailer. Took a couple phone calls to get it straightened out.Donald R.

I should have just left the trailer on the side of the road at the address you told me to leave it at.. instead I took it to the location that I knew to be correct. I had to drive 2.5 or 3 hours to pick this unit up. That set us back 6 hours on our loading schedule. Then someone had curbed the left rear outside tire causing it to fail. A brake warning light came on on the dash. The service tech who was very good changed the tire and was on the phone with uhaul trying to track down the problem. We had already started loading the truck. Then uhaul decided we couldn't take that truck so I had 5 guys standing around waiting while uhaul looked for a truck after 2 hours and no communication from uhaul we started loading because we had to be out of that house. The mechanic came back and fixed the light or got it to go off. We left on Friday with the original truck got to Montana and the light came back on, I continued to drive because uhaul hasn't impressed me with how they would resolve the problem. I call the 800 number when I was done unloading and they told me to just return it to kalispellLEE B.

This was not the original pickup location. I made an online reservation about 2 weeks before I needed the 26' truck. When I arrived at the Buena Vista Colorado location after a 8 hour drive there was no truck. The site person told me they had no truck and Uhaul dropped the ball. After making a call to Salida Co. I made arrangement's to get a smaller truck and a trailer from them the next morning. I then called Uhaul and told them what happen and they said it was The Buena Vista sites fault. Whos fault does not matter to me, But nobody from either location EVER called me to tell me there was no truck. So thank you Salida Location for your help and professional attitude. I was told my vehicle did not need to be inspected for the auto transport...that it would work. However, straps were too short, despite the fact that I do NOT have oversized tires. I double checked with the store rep multiple times about this due to reading that my vehicle needed to be inspected. Had to go purchase My own straps for approx $70 and figure out how to secure vehicle myself. The furniture pads I rented were taken directly off of a truck that had just been returned...Literally just dropped off while I was there to pick up the truck.....they didn't even inspect them from previous renter! When I opened them up, they were wet and smelled like hay and horses, as well as having hair and feces of some sort on some of them. NOBODY went over the truck with me, or gave me ANY instruction whatsoever. They supposedly â€œprice-matchedâ€ a Penske reservation I previously had, to earn my business, but gave me a 10 ft truck for price of a 16 foot truck at Penske. It was a nightmare getting everything in that truck when I was counting on the extra 6 feet. I will not rent from U-Haul again if I have other reasonable options.Linda M.

The staff a mother and daughter I believe, were rude as if I was a bother. A customer should never feel like an inconveniences when your bringing buisness. They could show a little more consideration and appreciation. I had to wipe out sticky stuff maybe old spilled soda out of the compartments. I did not recieve a clean truck and in these times with Covid I expected it to have atleast been disinfected. We left it much better than we recieved it.John B.
