I booked a truck a week in advance and received confirmation. Less than 24 hours before my pickup (which is <5 min drive), I received an email which moved my reservation to a location >70 min away. Being that this was so last minute, I didn't really have an option to find another truck rental. Extremely disappointed that this was not a disclaimer as part of my reservation and that I had to travel round trip over 2 hours to pick up this truck.Nina N.

The lady is never there. They have the hours posted but you go and no one is there. I rented a truck last week that had an 1/8 of a tank but the paper said it should have a 1/2 tank. I called as soon as I saw it, they just give you the keys, and told her about it. She said to take a picture and show her at drop off and she'd fix it. Well that didnt happen and I was charged for it. The rental is supposed to be $20, and the miles $0.79. I only drove it 29 miles but was charged $68. Yesterday I rented a truck and received a message to do self check in at return or pay $20 if they do it. I've never been told to do self checkin and I've rented thru uhaul about 20 times now. They charge you $100 just to get the truck than take days to refund your money. After the problems with the last 2 rentals I will never go thru uhaul again. The experience and service were completely unacceptableTARA H.
Your self check-in process is the worst. Had to call service twice. Took 45 min. To get key. The app would not accept my photos. Very frustrating process. Will NEVER use or RECOMMEND self check-in. Makes me doubt if I will ever use U-Haul as service again. The guy there at same time for his pickup had same issues. He was mad too.Christine L.

I reserved a truck a week in advance. Then, the day before my rental I was told they had no truck so I had to drive 48 miles to the next nearest location with a truck. So I confirmed with the new location. Then, the morning of the rental, after driving almost all the way to the farther rental location, they called me and said that they rented my truck by mistake and I'd have to drive another HOUR to the next nearest truck or go all the way back to the original location and take a smaller truck. Needless to say I am far less than happy with my experience and will hire movers before renting again.Doug D.

This was the WORST experience I have ever had with Uhaul. Went to the office to contract a 10 foot truck for an 8:00 am pick up. When I reviewed the order two days before pick up to confirm, the time had changed from 8 am to noon...something that totally would NOT work with our logistics. Here the office hours changed so I raced back in to the office to organize the self check in. I should have been told when I booked it of the new office hours. The day of pick up, went to the facility and completed the process. When I went to the lock to key in the password, it was already entered and when I opened the box there were NO KEYS. I immediately called the contact number and told them the issue. They attempted to contact the site manager....no answer and the clock it ticking for my leave time. He said the only thing available was a cargo van...too small, but I HAD to take it since it would delay me to try and go to a different UHaul site. Of course, when I got to my son's place, it was too small for all his stuff. We called the UHaul in the Cleveland area to see if we could switch out the vehicle out there but were told no (but later when I got to the office, the manager said there was no reason we could not do that). We had to leave furniture, boxed and canned food, household items (such as a microwave) in order to get the MOST important items in that van. I was given a $50 dollar refund which was nice but will not pay for the $125 "dump" fee from his apartment complex for all the items he had to leave for them to dispose of, will not pay for the replacement of items we had to leave behind. The move was delayed over two hours as we had to repack and rethink the items he could take. This impacted his friends and landlord at our final destination who had to change their schedules to meet with us when we got there. I will be filing a more detailed complaint.Janet B.

The pickup and drop-off people were efficient and friendly. The equipment good. My only problem with this location is I could not call someone at the location about a question I had. The automated answer menu gave no option to talk to someone at the location.Barry O.

My rental had very bad brakes..not to bad when empty but when loaded the brakes were almost non existance..had to get off interstate highway and take backroads making my trip twice as long and costing more from extra milage..I was supposed to get a truck with a ramp because of disability and had no ramp..very poor service..probably won't rent from uhaul againJames S.

The only improvement that I would suggest would be to possibly pave. level, or otherwise make the area in which the equipment is parked flat to prevent the many deep potholes & ruts where water collects. There were so many deep potholes full of rainwater and surrounded by mud that the area not only soaked my shoes, but the mud was very slippery and became a fall danger. Had this not been the case, I would have given the location a rating of excellent.Frank K.

I was not able to check the truck out myself as advertised by uhaul.com. The website failed to work because I was 20 minutes late checking out the truck. That is ridiculous. I should be able to check the truck out at any time! Fortunately the office in Sharon stayed open longer to accommodate and checked the truck out to me and they did great.
