This location is nearly 20 miles from my house, and is on the other side of the city of Chilliwack. This means that when I rent a truck locally, I am spending $82.80 (40 miles @ $2.07/mile) just to get the truck to my house and back. There are locations closer to me in Chilliwack, but whenever I book equipment online, it defaults me to this location. I have been told that the reason for this is that the dealers in Chilliwack have extremely limited parking. Maybe having adequate parking is something that should be considered when U-Haul is choosing its dealers? I rented a 15 foot truck and an Auto Transporter on Sunday, July 2nd, 2026. The Auto Transporter was covered in mud, and the fender that articulates would not move. This resulted in me having to climb in and out of the window of my car. I am 58 years old, and cannot do this as easily as I once could. As a side note, I rented an auto transporter in West Kelowna in May, and the articulating fender was missing the rubber tie down, and one end of the fender was improperly repaired, being poorly riveted back together. I had to tape everything in place in order to travel. The 15 foot truck I rented on August 2nd, 2026 was filthy and muddy inside, and the ramp was covered with dirt and sticky liquid. Fortunately, I had rented it primarily to tow the auto transporter, but if I had wanted to use it for transporting goods, I would have had to pressure wash it first. Sweeping it would not have been at all effective. You can see from my account that I have rented a lot of U-Haul products in the last 35 years. I also worked at your Oshawa, Ontario location as a student between 1988 and 1989. I have been renting U-Haul products since about 1993. Over the last 10 years, this has increased significantly, with moves to and from Ontario, Mississippi, Florida, British Columbia, etc. The majority of the time, the equipment has been in very good condition, and my experiences have been positive. Some of the most recent ones, however, have been less so. Thank you for your attention to this.

Access to trailer partially obstructed by small trailer that had to be moved. Better management of the space would make this easier for the next customer.

Why am I charged for extra mileage when I rented the vehicle for the day?

I had asked for a one way motorcyvlectrailer at this location but when I got there the east Indian fellow told me it was in hope bc ,well the bike i was byying was in chilliwack would i go all the way to hope 1 hour drive then another hour back .I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand English very well but I'm not gonna be doing any business with people over the phone that cannot understand English or I cannot understand

Drop off was initially supposed to be Chilliwack - mins from my house. Received as text the day before to say it was changed. Had a 1 hr+ round trip to drop off. I don't mind the locations but be honest from the start

The guy that I handed the keys to did not want to check me in because he wanted to continue cleaning the gas pumps outside. He also asked me to undo the trailer from the truck, which is not a customer’s job.

The guy who I gave the keys to didn’t want to check me in when I arrived because he was busy wiping down the gas pumps. He also wanted me to disconnect the trailer from the truck obviously not the customers job.

Only thing I didn't appreciate? During my booking experience online I don't remember being informed of 2 very important things . Size of ball for hitch And electrical connector type . I was forced in to buying an adapter because I have a 7 pin round and your trailer uses a flat 4 pin connector. Did I miss this information during my online experience?

TT1084A 20 ft truck Roof has a leak some of my stuff got wet . Otherwise things went well . Tried to move an empty trailer for u-haul the was a gong show on franchise end .

The inside trailer floor was so filthy that the knees of my pants were black after crawling in. The rear door had to be lifted in order to latch it shut. The location staff were fine, except they could have assisted the attaching and detaching of the trailer. The trailers are grouped into two different categories; one-way versus round-trip. You cannot reserve a trailer for a round-trip in advance of 2 days. This is absolutely stupid, such that you cannot plan ahead with certainty.

They didn't properly check the lights. We were only asked to turn on the flashers/hazard lights. We drove down Highway 1 in BC at night without realizing that we had no tail lights or break lights. It's lucky we didnt get hit by a semi. Im not impressed with this location at all. I know all my connections on my car are working correctly, so I didn't expect to get yelled at by another driver that I had no lights. When it was dropped off, they didn't have time to talk and told us us to drop it off and they would inspect it later. I believe they knew that the lights didn't work.

Way too far from Chilliwack. I had to drive about 20 km's outside the city to drop off the truck, rather than be able to do so at the town location, which was much closer to my house. This cost me more in gas, and used up more of my allotted kilometers.

I reserved 2 dollys along with the teuck and trailer over a month and a half prior. There were none when I picked up the reservation. We did not have time to go to any other location to pick up any. I called the uhaul reservation number and explained this. The agent advised that there were some 30 mins from me. I told the agent twice that I was under a deadline and did not have time to run around. I requested to speak with a manager, I am still waiting for that call. We had to buy 2 dollys for a move. When I booked my reservation, I specifically requested a location 5 mins from my house. Nipe, because the trailer wasn't in the area we needed to drive an hour out of the way to get it. This is not ok, it should be organized and able to be driven to the location required

The staff was nice. Unclear that the office was in the gas station. Was charged for extra km's even though that was not mentioned to us in the morning. I am confused about what determines the km's allocated.

Moving van was good, service guy was excellent, problem is the location, I only used this location as all the other chilliwack locations were booked for the vehicle I needed, because it’s so out of the way, you automatically add about $30 to the cost just to get to and from the location to chilliwack.

Trailer had no trailer brakes that worked. When i dropped it off the guy said there isn’t anything that anyone can do about it and yet i paid full price.

Honestly this was a great experience. I do feel that if a costumer can bring their equipment back 24 hours or more ahead of their scheduled time they should be reimbursed, because it does help somebody else

This location was great but the way U-Haul operates is not. Started out with a 24/7 reservation at a site that is not 24/7 but is listed as one. Same as the next site they directed me to. Everything was locked and when I called the person said it was a 24/7 site and need to enter a code to get a key. Was never given a code but the site online says open 8-4 we arrived at 3:30 pm. Then they sent me to another site where I was able to pick up the truck. It went perfect at this site. Same as drop off went well. U-Haul needs to update the app and be sure these 24/7 locations are actually 24/7. If they are then have it shown on the website. A lot of confusion. And when it says preferred location and time and they send you a confermation that is what it should be. Not a phone call the night before and everything changed. Did not even get a phone call.

There was a nail in the front right tire causing a slow air leak. I told the attendant that |I had a warning come up on the dashboard when \I picked it up and he said he knew about it and it was fine. I then checked the air pressure later and it was at 55psi when it should have been 80psi.Also, i was grossly overcharged on the gas |I used. I was told the tank was full when I picked up and it showed full but when i returned it still showed 3/4 tank and it cost me over $70.00 to fill again. Considering I only drove 245 km, I highly doubt the tank was actually full when |I picked it up. Considering the safety issue with the underinflated tire and the gas ripoff, I was very disappointed with u-haul as a whole.

I have used this location for dropping off uhauls twice now (one truck and one trailer). Both times were a great experience. Staff are friendly and helpful, they made it easy to return without any hassle.

I reserved the trailer 3weeks in advance for pickup in surrey. I had to Travel to chilliwack to pick it up. Costing me valuable time and money.
