The pick up location itself was fine. Very poor experience with uhual setting up pickup location. I requested pickup in Warrenton over a month prior and they send me over 100 miles to pick up at a different location. Uhual was not accommodating regarding this rental. Only gave us a â€œslightâ€ discount and still charged me an extra day even thought I dropped it off on the correct day.Noah W.

While the person was helpful, he was not timely. Anything and everything was a distraction. The process took more than twice as long as needed. I had issues with my reservation, I reserved for 3 days and was told that I would get 1 day free along with an extra 100 miles free because my reservation was messed up. I ended up with only 24 hour order upon dispatch and it caused me to almost have to pay 250 dollars more upon return because I kept for the days of reservation. The return place fixed this so I did not have issues. The dispatch place needs to improve on attention to detail and confirm with customer before everything is dispatched. The bad communication almost cost me hundreds of dollars. Overall service was great, customer service great, treated customer with respect,, clean environment, just 1 thing that needs improved on and that is communication with customer to make sure everything is correct in system before dispatching vehicle and they can't fix afterwards.Donald W.

The check-in process took way too long. The gentleman was very nice but slow and had to re-enter my information several times. Not to mention I was sent to a location to pick-up my u-haul that was no longer in business and then send 20 miles out of my way to go to another facility. Poor customer service and I was very annoyed. All staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful but this delayed my packing my daughter up from college by about an hour.Tom S.

Truck was dirty inside and out. There was also a 170k mile error in the pickup mileage. Spent a long time on the phone with customer service due to picking the truck up on a day that the business was closed. They even took the time to call a couple of days ahead and tell me what to expect and where to find the key etc. The 24/7 process was AWFUL - extremely time consuming and cumbersome. The link was not available on my dashboard so I ended up having to call. Waited at least 15 minutes before the correct department even answered. This crazy man threatened me. I will sue him and his manager. The truck was returned to its lication by 6pm I needed an extra day. I returned it clean. This truck needs a time up. Other than that it was pretty good.trina W.
There were obvious problems with the vehicle- tire pressure light was on and right side mirrors were not operable. I was told â€œnot to worry about itâ€. The truck did not operate well and is was not easy to drive without mirrors.Amy K.
The original pick up location I had @ Valley View Motors in Harrisonburg should be fired. Karen Munns was rude and berated me after I complained of her keeping me waiting for 25 mins as her business/office was temporarily closed and unattended while she enjoyed her lunch. Her posted business hours are 10-4 on both the website and office which was not honored. She is a horrible representative of UHaul and I will check other options in future as a result.Jeff F.

Condescending old man that spent a entire HOUR pretending that his computer was forcing me to take unwanted insurance. Finally, after claiming he couldn't rent me the equipment unless I accepted optional insurance I suggested he call Uhaul office to find an alternative for me. He called someone and in five minutes the contract was prepared (without insurance). I was insulted as, essentially, being a cheapskate for not accepting the $8. insurance policy; as an insult he suggested I should call Uhaul for a $5. discount. I was polite, and extremely patient during the entire ordeal. When I arrived at the rental location, no one was there, only a phone number to call and the wait for his arrival. He rented me the oldest dirtiest trailer on the lot. Really shitty experience all the way around. After his wife admitted he was stubborn, he insinuated that I was stubborn for not accepting the optional insurance charge.david B.

Don't allow 24/7 pick-up at this location. Cell service was bad and I couldn't upload pictures etc..it took over an hour to get the truck and that was after I gave up with the 24/7 reservation and simply "rebooked" a truck inside with the man behind the counter. He was GREAT! Uhaul was not. Even after calling the 1-800 number, it took 10 minutes for my call to be answered and another 1/2 hour or so for the lady to besically not help the situation outcome. I thought she could check me in...nope....she just walking me through the same steps that didn't work when I tried them 3, 4, 5 6 times. Disappointed in Uhaul with that situation.Margaret L.
