While the check in process and drop off was simple they scammed me on the mileage/gas. I drove 5 miles in all and they charged me a penalty for 4 gallons of gas at $18 which is ridiculous. The gas was at the same place (since I only drove 5 miles in all) and they said it wasn't --they did not print me a paper at the start that show how they recorded the gas so of course I did not take a picture of it when I left and came back but it was at the same place. The woman yelled at me to and said I should have taken a picture when I called about the contract they did not print-- ridiculous and will never go back here or recommend. That cost is shady and she knew it.

CHRISTINE HEmployee was helpful but need more help. I felt something was wrong with the gas gauge because it showed almost empty after 3 miles. I was disappointed that I could not use my AARP or Veterans discount. An explanation would be good and because of the close location to my home I will go back. I would also recommend that staff explain the bill at checkout. The later bill was not completely understandable to me.

Cynthia PYour details and steps on picking up trucks should be easier and much simpler. You should allow for some of the steps to be verified prior to the day and time your reservations. Your hidden charges that show up at time of check out are very lame. If one could see these at time of getting the reservation then it would give the consumer on opportunity to shop around.

MELINDA AThe drop-off and pick-up locations for the vehicle keys could be in the front of the building (store) for the safety of customers who return vehicles at night. U-Haul must improve the usefulness of its mobile app for self-checkout renters. I was delayed for two and a half hours waiting for the store to open to pick up the keys because the app would not work.

Chris FVehicle clean, but ride rough. Had to travel about 10 mph over parts of Belair Road being repaved. Thankfully, no damage to cargo. Was grateful to get a 15' truck with ramp to complete my move. Could stand up inside truck and load entire floor area without stacking cargo. This saved me much time and energy.
Thomas KIt took too long for the agent to review and approve my drivers license picture and the selfie. I had to take 4 or 5 different pictures of my license and 2 different selfies. In the future you should tell people not to wear hats before they get there. Also, I was told my estimated charges would be about $35. I WAS NOT told beforehand that my credit card would be charged a $100 deposit and was not prepared to be charged that much before I was able to rent the truck. I had to call someone and get their card info because I didn't have enough on my card. I thought I would only need enough to cover what I was told the estimate would be. The whole check in process took more than 30 minutes which is way too long.
