The first reservation I made was at AZ Motor Trends, but their incompetent staff did NOT set up our RESERVED truck for self pickup. And, even though they post open hours on Saturday, NO ONE was there. UHaul customer service via the App sent us to a 2nd location with a new reservation. RightSpace Storage was dark. Did App check-in, could NOT open the lockbox to retrieve the key. Customer service AGAIN; they said jiggle each dial into place & jiggle small lock arm after EACH dial of combo is in place. FINALLY, after 10 minutes, we got it open, while simultaneously, we saw an OPEN sign magically appear on the left door, but, building was STILL dark. Went in to request help from attendant, who was sitting in the dark behind the counter. He wasn’t thrilled to come help open the lock box, but, WE FINALLY got it open. Truck was fairly clean, but, then drivers side visor was BROKEN; would not stay up & fell down in front of my face while driving over every bump in the road. Returned the truck after a few hours & AGAIN, could NOT open the lock box. Went to see attendant who posted a sign saying back at 2 PM. So, we left & had to drive all the way back to return the key. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM U-HAUL AGAIN, unless the ENTIRE rental is credited back to me, bcuz of UHaul’s multiple failures; not just the $50 guarantee we are to be credited. What was to be a simple move of ONE ITEM, turned out to be a massive waste of time due to UHaul. We spent MORE TIME dealing with the trucks issue than we did moving the item. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! I expect immediate call at 402-209-0099 to remedy this. I have screenshots of this complaint; I hope for a quick remedy; otherwise, I will warn consumers in a variety of ways! James

Need to repair or replace the lock on box #1.. very difficult to open
Richard MThis was a horrible experience. When I arrive, the truck didn’t even start. The battery was dead. I got a jump to get to the destination and then the truck went and start again. I kept having to get jumps during the whole time I had this track. This was a terrible terrible horrible experience. I believe I should get a full refund of my money and you should take the truck off the lot so no one else will go through what I did.

Took me an HOUR to get the app to work. "internal error", wouldn't accept photos. Had to call support 3 times. Never again.

Shawn MActually have the keys in the lock box at the time requested. Then have the equipment I ordered in the truck and then somehow I still get charged for the equipment that wasn’t in the truck. Then no one is ever in the actual building so I can’t talk to anyone in person.

She started using her phone in the middle of helping us and she didn’t even greet us when we walked in. When I was asking her questions she wouldn’t give me a yes or no answer, rather a “mhm” which is extremely rude. There was another guy next to us who she was making conversation with very well and who she was being extremely nice to so I’m not understanding why she was treating us like that
Bhavikha RThe truck was clearly previously in an accident and poorly repaired with spot welds all in the driver door jam. The driver door itself was hard to close do to this. There was spilled spots from drinks that were not wiped out, and pizza/pasta sauce on the passenger seat, just a tiny bit but enough. To top it off the truck would not stop dinging when off with the key removed as if the key was in the ignition. Also the light in the cab didn’t work and the cargo light didn’t work with the switch on the dash that has the instructions for it.

Overall the vehicle was tidy though. The engine light was on and I'm not sure if that's the best state to rent out to (I have pictures if needed). This location was a great experience for my first U-Haul would use again!

RUBY WMake sure customers are able to do a self pickup if that’s what was requested and confirmed by the location. Truck was not accessible for a self pickup. Once in the truck the check engine light was on and upon informing the location, they just dismissed it.

ALDRICH PThe truck didn't have a ramp on it. When I asked if I could switch to a different truck, the customer service representative at the pickup location was not helpful. He said that he didn't know how to do it and that they're technically "closed" and not supposed to do Uhaul work after 5:15 (I picked up the truck at about 5:10). The pickup site information on Uhaul's website clearly states that they're open until 5:30. In addition, the strap on the appliance dolly was not big enough. These things added up to be a horrible experience.
