The truck's transmission was slipping and nearly killed me driving through the mountains. It would not down shift and it was difficult breaking when it was still in fifth gear. The power steering was not great either.KARRI DIAN M.

They have very little parking available and it was all taken. We pulled the uhaul inside the gate and went in to turn in the key- knowing that they would obviously have to move the truck once they got the key. On our way into the office, a rude employee said "Did you park that truck there?" "You can't park there!" He was very rude, and he took the key and moved the truck to where it was actually blocking part of their drive way! I don't see how that was any better. Other than that the check out process was fine and the person in the office was very nice.Michael P.

It took an hour just to pick up a Dolly that I pre- reserved. I had requested a Utility Dolly at the team of reservation but when I arrived it showed a small one. The poor woman at pick up location had to call. UHAUL SEVERAL TIMES as I waited an hour at Sanders Lock Smith in San Dimas California on Arrow HWY .Sharon C.

Really, the women that helped me quoted me one price and when checking out charged me an additional $ 40.00 + - at check out and when I asked why so much I only went over 4 miles from what I figured and she said that's what's coming up. She couldn't figure it out until I called the 800 number they told me she charged me for 2 days of rental and basic insurance, really I only had the rental for a max of 4 -5 hours ( and she couldn't figure out why my final bill was so elevated) you need to make sure that your outlet places have the proper training on a periodic basis .ROBERT R.

when I went to rent the truck. the lady had trouble with the computer. She tried to rent me a 17 foot truck. after she put in all my credit card information, she found out that the truck wasn't there. So she cancelled that truck and rented me a 20 feet truck. after I brought back the 20 foot truck that same afternoon. I kept on recieving text messeges that I have not returned the 17 foot truck, which I never got. It took three or four days to straighten that out. The manager was every nice in trying to straighten the paper work out.BRUCE S.

We paid for and were told that we had the truck for a certain amount of hours but were called before our time was up (in the middle of moving) that we had to turn in 30 minutes earlier than what we had paid for because of their error in that it had been booked by someone else at that time. We were not refunded nor compensated in any way. This was a real inconvenience for us because we had to cut it short nor were we finished moving our belongings.jeff M.

What we didn't know until the next day when the truck was fully loaded with our furniture was that the AC was not working and my sister who drove the truck got heatstroke from the over 90 degree weather from GA to FL. When I rented the truck here I was not informed that if I had any difficulties I should call UHaul immediately. So unfortunately there was no compensation for this turn of events.Terrie K.
Have the equipment on site at pick up time. Confirmed pick-up 10am, but showing in computer at 3pm. 2nd time this has happened, never recieved $50 from 1st "guarentee", probably won't see the $50 for this recent failure. There is not enough mileage allowed to get from the U haul pickup location to the drop off location. I drove directly to my storage unit and then directly to my home in Atlanta and then directly to drop off point and still had to pay for mileage! If there was any other rental company to compete against you I would use them as the pickup location nor the online site mentioned the limited mileage. Plus I do not understand the $1 charge from my pickup location on my card! Very disappointed in my experience with Uhaul this time as I have used you numerous times in the past. Truck reeked of cigarette smoke and the bed of truck was in need of sweeping. Also the fuel indicator dropped immediately upon pulling out of pickup location from full mark to below full ie halfway between full and 3/4. Should have turned around and made the notice had I known I would be charged extra mileage. Not pleased overall! As I picked another location as my pickup point closer to my storage unit and you placed with another location 2x further away! Will think twice before using Uhaul again!Bert F.

We knew we had the truck for 48 hours. When we returned the truck, we almost ran into the problem of the one hour time change...meaning they were going to charge us an extra day, because he claimed we had it for 49 hours (because he refused, at first to take the time zone into consideration). We actually had the truck 47.5 hours literally. He finally changed it, but acted like we were stupid and were liars. You really need to be clear with either your customers or representatives how traveling over time zones works. We picked up the truck at 9:51am Central time. We returned it 10:20 Eastern time (which would be 9:20 Central). This, if you do the math, is 47.5 hours... Also, while we were in the store (for about 45 minutes) trying to return the truck, we encountered another customer who was inconvienenced with not having the truck when he needed it.NICHOLAS R.
We had to wait at least 30 minutes to pick up the truck because every other customer that came in to the gas station got waited on before us. The truck was not clean when we got it (paper and dirt on the floor) but when we brought it back, we had to sweep it out - the very same crud that was in there when we picked it up. When we took it back we STILL had to wait in between customers and the clerk actually agreed with me when I said I guess we aren't as important as the other customers. I was floored that she admitted it. I would not recommend this location to anyone, EVER.James H.

I didn't have a problem with Uhaul the company but the location of pick up took me 45 minutes to do paperwork when I arrived to pick up and when I dropped off 30 minutes early the Pit stop worker was rude and threatened to charge me for another day because I asked fof the amount drafted from my checking account. I will not use that location again.DANA H.
It took us almost 50 minutes to rent the UHaul b/c the person who checked us out had never been trained on a computer or on the UHaul system. We essentially did it for her. Now, the store called back b/c they don't know if she charged us correctly! This was also NOT the location we requested, and no one was available to help us hook up the trailer. It was a disaster.
